Dr. Michael Jackson knew what to do with my skin right away. Within a few weeks, not only I but the people around me started seeing results. This is after YEARS of struggling to keep my acne under control. I’ve been to multiple different doctors and have tried so many things that haven’t worked or have made my skin so much worse. But Dr. Jackson’s treatment started working immediately. He also has such a welcoming and funny personality that helps you feel relaxed in his presence and open to share your skin struggles completely with him. I also appreciate that he has Saturday appointments for those of us who work full time. His treatment changed my life. Best Dermatologist ever!

Doctor Jackson is insufferable, rude and most importantly: deeply unfunny. I was a patient for two years but my last appointment left me feeling disrespected and disgusted. Not only was the doctor 40 minutes late (typical) but he then had the audacity to chastise me for checking my phone during our appointment. It’s a shame because the office is so close and I love supporting my fellow kinfolk but I’m done.

If advocacy is something you expect from a provider/clinic staff, this might not be the place for you. I've never made it to the location so I can't speak to the Drs. bedside manner or anything related to the doctor, this review is for the people you have to make it past to an appointment. The office staff (this last one said it was "her biller") seem to be out of date or otherwise unable to utilize Google as every other clinic/hospital/pharmacy/surgery center etc. has done for the past 8 yrs when presented with the only insurance card I have for my children. Despite it being the most utilized insurance company in the country and the front of the card clearly indicating it's a fed program, they can't see my son because they won't have any idea how to reach the insurance company. Everything they need so they know where to send the bill is on the back (and Google) but, I don't have that and am currently unable to get it so no specialist derm visit for my child. I rarely leave bad reviews but, their complete unwillingness to even attempt to be helpful infuriates me. I would love to be able to present them with the information they want but, in this situation that isn't possible. They don't even know if my son has something contagious, painful or otherwise harmful. They never asked. It's the end of the summer, it could be a strange mole, doesn't matter. Have a nice day.

I have been going to Dr. Jackson for 4 years now. Before, I suffered pretty bad from eczema and tried a lot of different remedies. Dr. Jackson found a solution for me and has helped me clear up my eczema and my itching. The staff at Jackson Dermatology are professional, accommodating and very friendly. Usually the wait times are not that long although I tend to go earlier to my appointments. Dr. Jackson himself is professional, funny, friendly and as I mentioned before gets the job done. I definitely recommend going to Dr. Jackson for your dermatologic needs.

I knew they couldn’t be talking about the same dermatologist that I’ve been using for years. His staff is over professional they have a courteous manner When speaking to you. I have no complaints about Dr. Jackson's prescribed treatment (for my 14 year-old-daughter's acne), but his bedside manner bordered on inappropriate. On two occasions nurses closed the door on him and my daughter, leaving them in the consulting room alone. Additionally, he made several jokes regarding her weight and appearance. Not a great idea for a teenage audience. We have decided not to return to the office.

I arrived at my 12:45 appointment at 12:48. The doors were locked and no answer to the The worst ever.. very nasty!! phone. I could also hear the phone ringing. I have come along way and am paying for parking. Today will be my last time coming to this business/ office. There seems to be no respect or care, it’s unfortunate because M. Jackson was a good doctor to me. But my business will go elsewhere.

I have been going to Dr. Jackson for about 3 years now. Even a few members of my family do as well. He has to be one of the best dermatologists I have ever been to. The receptionist and all the staff are very nice. Love them. But please leave all the attitudes outside. They are people too. I have seen people who come in without any manners, and the staff handled it with professionalism through and through. Despite his fast talk and bluntness, Dr. Jackson tells it like it is. Ultimately, he is just trying to help and do what is right for his patients. Honestly, I would rather follow his blunt advice and get those results than not take it and still look a mess. For any event I have, he makes sure that I am good in advance. He listens whenever I feel something isn't right or working and is always willing to find another way. Whatever your case may be, he will do right by you. I highly suggest you go see him!

Horrible experience and waste of money. Dr. Jackson is a pompous, arrogant, rude human being. He’s also somewhat weird (I’ll leave it at that). Rather than going back, I found another dermatologist for my daughter. I seriously doubt the authenticity of those who deny his arrogance. Find someone else to treat you skin.

I’m just going to say this: before potential patients come here & hold on to the negative reviews of people who are unhappy with their results (also probably their lives 🥴)& don’t know how to do anything other than bad mouth a business, please experience the service for YOURSELF! Dr. Jackson and his staff are wonderful! I have been coming here for years! When I am not happy with something, Dr. Jackson is happy to explore other options! Chantel and all the other staff members have been wonderful! I even miss some of the nurses that used to work there! The staff is very accommodating & Dr. Jackson knows how to hear his clients out! He produces RESULTS & will not give up until they are satisfactory to the patient! I loveeee visiting a black dermatologist in my neighborhood! PLEASE SUPPORT BLACK BUSINESSES THAT PROVIDE GOOD SERVICE!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Jackson for management of dermatology problems for over two years and he always has an answer to my dilemma. I’ve had multiple issues and he is very accommodating, knowledgeable, and quick. I do suggest getting to your appointment on time for check in and copay because he can get pretty busy with patients.
