I adore the new location. It add to my relaxing self care time that now I can walk into the coffee shop they have, order a tea, then go sit down to wait for my appointment and they bring it to me. The front staff greeted me with warm smiles and cheerful hellos making me feel like they know me. My hairstylist knows just what my crazy hair will do and offers up the perfect suggestions on how to do things when I decide to change my style. Yes it’s downtown and can be a little pricey but I haven’t had problems finding parking, the commute is a breeze and the price is worth having someone who is kind, attentive and a great hairstylist.

I am not going to return to Avalon Salon nor will I recommend it.
I have been paying the top rate to see Sam S for hair cuts. At every appointment he will have a co-worker sit down next to him and hold a personal conversation while he is cutting my hair. Although I don't appreciate this, he has generally provided good cuts and so I have returned. However, the last haircut was horrible. He and I discussed cutting off two to three inches. He chopped off at least six inches. When I confronted him about it he he told me that it was only two to three. I waited until I got some sleep to take a good look to be sure, and no amount of time or rest has changed what he did. He absolutely hacked off my hair.
I can very clearly see and feel that he removed far more than two to three inches. My hair has not ever been this short. I did not ask for this. We did not discuss this. We did not agree on this. The only thing I can do now is wait over a year for my hair to grow back out. Furthermore, the cut is not a soft "u" shape as I always get but looks like someone failed to simply cut a straight line. Lastly, although he is aware that I don't use any products in my hair, he proceeded to apply products without any regard or personalization.
Maybe if he wasn't continuously distracted by socializing with co-workers when with a paying client then he wouldn't make such mistakes.
I booked with the master stylist and paid $95 for a truly horrible hair cut. I'll be taking my business to a better salon with professional and attentive staff who care about their clients.
The atmosphere was relaxing, and I left feeling rejuvenated and confident with my new hairstyle. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for top-notch service and great results!

Savannah is truly the best. She has completely transformed my hair. Every time I leave her chair, I feel like a brand new woman. As a long hair girlie, I’m super picky about who touches my hair, but Savannah has my full trust. She always makes my hair look and feel amazing! I absolutely adore her and can’t recommend her enough! 💕 She’s incredibly sweet, so easy to talk to, and genuinely cares about making sure you love your hair. I had a facial and scalp massage by Rachel-it was an amazing experience!! I had never had this done before and it was fantastic! Rachel did an incredible job. I highly recommended it and I highly recommend Rachel.
