Ottima esperienza.
Esperienza davvero positiva.
Ciro #1

Dear Fernando,It's truly wonderful that your experience at Hilton Times Square was pleasant enough to earn a perfect rating! We're thrilled that you found our property accommodating and had great interactions with our staff. It's no surprise that Ciro made such an impact, as he's well known for being highly attentive to our guests. We'll make sure to tell him about your appreciation, and we hope to welcome you back next time you visit New York City!
Great location, good-sized room with outdated interiors
The location of the Hilton Times Square can’t be beat if you’re fine staying in a very busy area of Times Square. Every place in Midtown is walkable from this location; even a walk to Greenwich Village or SoHo is doable if you like to walk, which I do. The Executive Lounge is gone. That was a bummer, but not surprising. Executive Lounges are a thing of the past at many Hilton properties. Otherwise, it’s an adequate hotel that serves its purpose: a bed and a shower. For a NYC hotel, the rooms are a good size - I wish the room interiors were updated. Lobby: The lobby appears new since my last visit in 2016, but I can’t be certain. Lots of seating (until it becomes crowded) and there’s a bar. I don’t drink so I can’t comment on the quality of their liquor or the service. Check-in: Meh. The same slow-eyed Front Desk service that happens at all NYC hotels: 20/30-somethings who’d rather look at their phones than speak with a human being. Three bays were open, with one attendant intensely focused on his phone, and the other young lady stared at her computer screen as the queue swelled. I was finally assisted by an older man, and all was going well until I asked for bottled water. He handed me a single bottle and I requested another. He paused, and then said, “Sure. I guess so.” You “guess so?” I know Lifetime Diamond means nothing these days, but please: don’t offer a perk and then become stingy about it. (Duane Reade is close by for water and snacks! 🙂) Room 3401: This was a 1-bedroom corner king; lots of natural light 👏🏽, good views of the skyline, ample space within the room. However, the furniture appears to be the same furniture I experienced during my last stay at this hotel in 2016. Now, it looks worn around the edges (lots of visible dings, scrapes, and scratches) and the tired feel of too many tourists. There was a refrigerator to house fresh fruit. 👏🏽 Otherwise, a utilitarian and lifeless room with Hilton’s outdated beige and brown. There was peeling paint on the ceiling of the bathroom; not just a little, but a lot. Overall, not a room I’d call relaxing, comfortable, or interesting. It worked as a bed and shower for 3 nights. Housekeeping refreshed my room once – on my second day and provided an insufficient number of towels. No issues with the Internet; the coffee maker wasn’t the cleanest; never used the TV; window coverings did a good job of blocking the morning light; bed was comfortable; and the room lacked sufficient outlets and included outdated computer and phone outlets as though you're stuck in the 1990s. Food/service: I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel and if room service was an option, I never tried it. I used the location as a bed and shower with all meals off-site. I never visited the gym or any spaces within the hotel. I was a robot: exit room, elevator to the lobby, walked past the Front Desk to the next bay of elevators to reach the ground floor, and out of the hotel. Note: At peak times (usually during the dinner hour), plan to leave your room early. The two elevators from the lobby to the ground floor often form a long queue. Kudos to the man on the ground floor assisting customers with their luggage. He was friendly, always smiling, helpful with directions, never a sour attitude. The security team on the ground floor were also friendly and approachable – a great team. As an aside, I swear I don’t know why people become angry or defensive when security asks to see their key to demonstrate they’re staying at the hotel. That’s their job, people! 🙄

Dear Apollo,Thank you for your detailed feedback, and thank you for your loyalty as a Hilton Lifetime Diamond member. We're pleased to hear that you found our location convenient for exploring New York and that you enjoyed the views and spaciousness of your room. We are also happy to hear that several of our ground-floor team members stood out as a bright spot in your stay. We do apologize, however, if our facility appeared to need some updates and if some of our front desk team members could have been more helpful. Your notes are appreciated, and we will be using them to improve our service and our building in the hopes that you will join us again in the future.
ESPELUNCA HILTON

Dirty, dated rooms
My stay at the Hilton Times Square was an overall disappointment. Although the location is steps from Times Square, the negatives outweighed the centralized location. My daughter and I stayed at the hotel for five nights this past week. This was her second trip to New York City (the first was only a day trip). The hotel charges a $100 fee for check-in before noon, and a $50 fee to check in between 12 and 3 pm. I was given room 2913. When we entered the room, I was immediately disappointed to see the outdated decor. The beige and brown paint, dated wallpaper, and overall look led me to believe the hotel has not been remodeled or updated in 20 or 30 years! I also immediately noticed the stained carpet, brown crud on the wall near the door (don’t even want to know what that was!), and stains on the wallpaper. My daughter noticed a stain on the bed comforter also. My daughter went to use the bathroom and when she opened the sliding door it wobbled as though it was off the track. I went back downstairs and politely informed the front desk agent that the room condition was unacceptable. She was very apologetic and gave me a complimentary upgrade to a Queen deluxe with Empire view. The new room was 4104. When we walked in, the room was cleaner and did not have a stained carpet, but it had the same outdated decor. I did notice a couple of stains on the wallpaper, and the bedside lamps looked dirty. The one saving grace, however, was that the view from the window was amazing! I attached photos of the view from room 4104. I will also note that the maid I spoke with the next day was very polite, and the maids do a very good job of cleaning the room. Remember to leave a tip for the maid! Overall, I do not recommend this hotel at all. I understand that they charge a premium because of the location, but the rooms are in desperate need of a remodel.

We are very sorry to learn that this experience did not earn your recommendation. The cleanliness concerns described in your first room are unacceptable, and we are glad to hear that our team upgraded you and your daughter to an Empire view. Your observations about both rooms have been forwarded to our leadership team for review, and we appreciate you bringing them to our attention. Thank you for recognizing our housekeeping and front desk teams, and we hope to have the opportunity to change your perceptions in the future.

Week stay
WHAT is this stain on one of the pillows' beds???? THE HAIRDRYER IS ALSO DUSTY JUST LIKE OTHER HOTELS. View is great, bed feels great, doesn't look great tho. Lack of lights, lamps that are unable to turn off right next to your bed because the lightswitch is all the way in the main door so u have to get up to turn it off. No bidet but were in America so its expected, just bring ur own soap. Speaking of soap, the soap they give u is a little hard to wash off and leaves a little residue that requires u to wash ur hands a little more often. Otherwise, location is rlly good! Its near Times Square and we stayed here for like a week, though they dont have breakfast and u need to take 2 elevators to be able to go to ur guest rooms. Also the room keycard doesnt work sometimes but who cares.
