Regarding in-person service, I have no complaints. I was very well attended to. But now that I need to speak with someone, no one answers. I've been trying to call to speak with someone for days, even before the holiday, and it's impossible!!! I tried all the options on the recording and nothing! There's not even an email available. The clinic is too far to go there just to ask a question. It can't be like this! Communication is extremely difficult.

Words cannot even begin to describe but I will do my best. First before even getting to the details of the appointment. Their phone system is useless. They are open at the office before they even begin to accept phone calls, and the answering service that they have in place is incapable of helping. In regard to the appointment, I was seen by Luis A. Perez-Mena, M.D. I waited for over 30 minutes to be seen for a total of 5 minutes and made to feel so small, disgusting and unseen by any medical professional in my entire life. Once it was determined through a series of questions that I was a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, his immediate direction of questioning led to HIS assumption that the cause MUST be HIV, even though while at the hospital it was indicated that I am on top of my testing and prevention through regular doctor visits and testing every quarter. This shows me that time was not even taken to accurately and deeply look into my charts or results from testing at the hospital. The candor and just blank stares on his face in which he directed conversation to me were cold, filled with no empathy and a clear indication of his unprofessionalism in how to converse with members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I never write reviews for Doctors or medical practices as I believe that their performance should be aimed at solving health emergencies and not 5 star reviews, but if you are a member of the community and are referred here by your doctor or hospital, I strongly recommend that you request a different reference so that you do not become the next recipient of such an awful experience. This doctor managed to set the tone for the entirety of my day with nothing to back it up but his own ignorance, a true reflection of the blind spots that still remain in the healthcare system when it comes to assisting the LGBTQIA+. Don't go here.

Dr. Alvarado has been wonderful throughout my nearly 18 months of seeing him. I developed a hospital acquired infection during my extended stay last year, and he has worked with me diligently to get it taken care of. My wife and I both love Dr. Alvarado. And, trust me, she is not easy to please when it comes to my healthcare.

I called with a referral back in February. Someone from the front desk said they’d get back to me within a week and it is now June and I still don’t have an appointment and I reached out to them again twice and they said theyd contact me and no one has. If you want to feel valued and important this is is not the place to go.

This is my first time reaching out to this clinic. I called today trying to schedule an appointment and the call representative taking my call was not very understanding to my concerns. If a person is calling this clinic they are already nervous as it may mean primary doctors weren’t able to take care of situation. It was not clear to me as to what lab work was require and rather then take time to ease my concern and answer my questions, her tone seemed agitated and she hung up on me, so I do hope calls are being recorded because she needs a lesson on how to be more patient and understanding as well as professional.
My physician at IDC is Dr Juan Diaz a GREAT, EXCEPTIONAL physician, the BEST. HOWEVER!!! The IDC practice is missing a very important service understanding that we are living on the 21st CENTURY. They DO NOT HAVE A PATIENT PORTAL ON THEIR WEBSITE like most of the doctors offices. With a PATIENT PORTAL we can communicate with the physicians/nurses, see previous visits doctors notes and MORE. TO THE OFFICE MANAGER please UPGRADE!!!

STAY AWAY, WORST SHEDULOR I EVER !!!
They don't even deserve one star, as far as the employees are concern. Not sure about the doctors. I tried to get an appointment, and the unprofessional scheduler was so rood, as she expected me to know how they operate. she did not let me talk, but I let her talk, and explain how they operate. I'm calling to make an appoint to see a doctor to see what is wrong with her hand, and she tells me that they need a referral with a diagnose. how in the world the primary doctor would know, that why i am looking for an infection doctor. she did not allow me to explain that she has all the symptoms... THIS IS WHY DOCTORS LOOSES SO MUCH MONEY

I really have to disagree with some of these reviews. My experience was very different! I wanna start off with the nurses next door to the Dr’s office were amazing!! Very knowledgeable, caring and very attentive!! Scarlett was always on point with her staff and ran that IV room very efficiently! Jessi at the front desk had appointments ready and printed for me! I had a whole lot of them 6 months worth!! The pharmacy staff had me always ready with all my meds and materials needed for my at home doses! AAANNDD! Melissa, Jasmine and Maggy you guys made me feel special!! Thank you all for your kindness and care!! The Dr’s office staff you guys rocked!! Manny was my go to person Thank you Manny!! But I do have to give the biggest appreciation to Dr Alvarado and Dr. Helou for take such good care of me!! You all are the true HEROES!! GOD BLESS!!
PLEASE do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The doctor was not any help at all and scheduled me for an appointment a week later so that she had time to look over my records. She should have looked over my records prior to the appointment instead of wasting my time and money. She did not ask me any of the important questions pertaining to my situation, she did not listen when I spoke, she sent the wrong lab order which wasted more of my time and money, worst experience I’ve ever had.
Just calling to make appointment is frustrating enough. The office staff will try to make up what the previous conversation was, but when all your calls (on my end) are recorded, it's easy to go back and see that what they say they have offered is not true. We go to about 6 Dr appts a week, throughout multiple different counties in Florida and have never experienced an office so disrespectful. Patient care suffers as a result.
Long waits. I waited 2 hours for my appointment even though I arrived 15mins early. Staff and doctor didn’t care and had no idea why it was taking so long. The doctor never called in my prescription. And the answering service hung up on me after rudely refusing to transfer me when I called back. I’d give ZERO STARS if I could! Avoid!
We have received great care and service. Our first visit was with Lilly, the nurse who taught me how to administer my husband's antibiotic IV. She was very knowlegeable and well spoken. We are very grateful for her compassion.
Chris is Aaaahhmazing! Love her! She was so caring and kind! I would totally recommend her to my friends and family. Thank you Chris for taking amazing care of me.
