Trustworthy Method of Logging into Government Agencies
While resolving an income tax matter with my tax advisor, it was recommended that I sign up for ID.me for logging into the IRS website as well as other government agencies. I signed up for ID.me and subsequently used this method of logging into both IRS and Social Security websites. I found this process to be simple and easy to use. Also, it gave me an unmatched sense of security when logging into one of these websites.
Effortless Service
I've been using ID.me to access various government websites, and it has honestly been a game changer for me. Navigating multiple portals and keeping track of different login credentials used to be a major headache, but ID.me has made the entire process completely effortless.
What I value most is the peace of mind it provides. Logging in is quick and reliable, which removes all the stress of dealing with complex verification steps every single time I need to access important information or services. It's a huge time saver and has made my interactions with government agencies significantly smoother.
Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a more streamlined, secure, and stress-free way to manage their online identity across these platforms.
Extra layer of un needed BS
I do not understand why the US Govt has to subcontract with someone to verify who I am to get on their website. Gee golly Mr Wizard I was able to verify myself and sign up on SSA before this clown show. Why the need for change? Lets spend more dwindling SSA resources to pay a company to do what SSA was doing all along. I bet when Soc Sec benefits are reduced ID Me will still get paid.
GET YALL SH! TOGETHER
They make you wait in a waiting room for hours and right when you think that you can go and make an appointment guess what you can't because there's not one day that you can pick or choose so you either gotta wait in the waiting room for hours or you gotta save an exit and come back the very next day and right when you think coming back, the very next day will be different, but surprise the same $#*!
Very secure and great service
I was actually notified on here that the irs may owe me money and I told me what form to submit I submitted them and about 8 weeks later I got a check in the mail from back taxes! Just when I really needed the extra money too. Any notices from the IRS that you may have missed at your mailing address you can see in here it's very helpful especially if you've moved and not able to get mail from an old address
The DMV Is More Efficient and Accurate
Horrible experience. After waiting for 3 weeks just to have my documents processed, I was told that I had to have a direct video call with ID.me. When I finally received the email that I needed to call them, the website said the wait time would be an hour long--it was actually a 3 hour wait. When I FINALLY spoke with a human being, the agent said that they already had my documents and the information was already legible from the pictures I uploaded. But they just wanted to "verify" they were the same!
A complete and utter waste of time! All because I wanted to go to the IRS website and get a copy of old tax data. If it's not required, avoid this company like the plague.
Waiting and fuming
I was given an estimated wait time to speak to someone of an hour and a half. When I went to schedule a time to speak to someone, no matter what time or day I selected, it said there were no more available slots for that time. So I waited. The hour and a half expected wait time turned into four hours of my time being held captive only to be on the line with someone for five minutes. It is two days later and I am still fuming.
SSA and ID.me
I received a suspicious email about my Social Security documents. So, I didn't click on anything and went the direct route to SSA.gov. Using ID.me as my secure access portal I was able to access the actual Government site and verify a few things. That was my reason for using ID.me, today.
