Pros: kiosk, nice camp kitchen, well maintained. Small pool. Cons: riot act read on arrival and at least five "Do not.." signs visible at every point in campsite, doesn't feel welcoming. Incredibly cramped toilets, showers and unusable urinal if you're rugby player sized. Considering remoteness and limited facilities, on and off site, $44 for an unpowered site is ridiculous as that's what you pay for nearby popular tourist sites with far more to do.

Hello Mikayla,
At no stage did anyone film or know of anyone playing board games in that case, to suggest a thing.
This is not true in any case. :)
As we did our park walk, we came into remind you all, of the time which was 9.45pm and there were extra cars parked on sites and people as yourself had not come into office and registered, so we were simply asking who belonged to what vehicle, as you know. That is our right and I am sorry that you felt it was rude of us to disrupt your party. Quiet time is 10pm. And thanks for leaving rubbish and cigarette butts as well.

Fantastic Stay at Hideaway Bay Caravan Park!
We had an amazing experience at Hideaway Bay Caravan Park—perfect whether you’re staying a night or a few months. The amenities are spotless with great hot showers, and the grounds are beautifully maintained with spacious, grassy sites.
There are lovely walking trails from the park that lead to stunning beaches or the nearby Dingo Beach Pub, just a 10-minute walk away. The park is peaceful, full of birdlife and wildlife, making it a relaxing escape.
It’s also a dream for fishing enthusiasts, with a boat wash and engine flush area, plus plenty of options for beach, rock, or boat fishing.
Neil and Kathy are wonderful hosts—so warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it!
Thanks James
We are glad you enjoyed and had an amazing time here. We hope to see you back in the future.

The place is okay, but the manager is absolutely rude. Avoid this place if you can; there are other, much more welcoming places nearby.
Hi Maxence,
It's important to recognize that campground rules are established to ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests. While these rules may sometimes feel restrictive, they are in place to maintain a respectful and harmonious environment for everyone.
Many campers appreciate reminders about these guidelines, as they help prevent misunderstandings and ensure a positive experience for all. If you have concerns about specific rules, it's always a good idea to discuss them with the management to gain a better understanding.
In the future, when staying at any camping grounds, it's beneficial to familiarize yourself with their specific rules and expectations. This proactive approach can help avoid potential conflicts and contribute to a more enjoyable camping experience for everyone involved.
Safe travels and happy camping!

Unfriendly , also unfriendly last year with the old owners

Hi Steven,
I would like to remind you that we were fully occupied, when you came in after 3pm for your one night stay and we offered you a powered site near BBQ fire place, that you accepted. It is unfortunate we did not have room anywhere else in the park to accommodate you.
Our quiet time is 10pm, which on a Wednesday night, I am sure it would of been closed down a lot earlier than that.
Please don't assume that as the Park owners that we instigate every party in that area. It is a very popular place at that time of the year.
Sorry for inconvenience.

We’ve stayed over Easter for three years in a row, but this year will be our last. While I understand there are rules in place over the Easter period, there’s a far better and frankly, more respectful way to speak to paying guests when enforcing them.
Throughout the stay, we felt like we were under constant surveillance, as if we were being scrutinised for possibly doing something wrong. It created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. The wristband policy, in particular, seemed to be enforced selectively. While we personally weren’t approached as we were doing the right thing, members of our family were questioned on the very morning they were leaving after they had already packed up and taken off their bands.
Even more ridiculous was a conversation we had with another guest, who told us the owners had instructed him to lie and claim he was their father to excuse not wearing a wristband. If that’s the level of consistency and honesty being applied, it’s no wonder guests feel singled out and unwelcome.
Rules are one thing we get it. But the attitude and tone with which they’re imposed made it clear that friendliness and hospitality are not a priority here. It’s a shame, because it’s a beautiful location, but we won’t be returning.

Hi Maxence,
We understand that being frequently reminded to wear wristbands during your stay may have given the impression of being under constant surveillance. However, it's important to note that such reminders are not intended to monitor guests but to ensure compliance with campground policies.
Campgrounds implement wristband policies for several reasons:
24 Hour Wristbands
Identification of Registered Guests: Wristbands help staff easily identify campers who have paid for their stay, ensuring that only registered guests are using the facilities.
Access Control: They serve as a means to control access to various amenities and activities within the campground, such as pools or events.
Security Measures: Wristbands can deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas, contributing to the overall safety of the campground.
While we acknowledge that these policies may feel intrusive, they are designed to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to these guidelines during your stay.
Safe travels and happy camping!

Beautiful location, the park was well maintained and had all the facilities you want. Although, management are rude and the previous negative reviews are 100% correct.
Thank you for your feedback. We want to clarify that our primary goal is to ensure all guests have a positive experience. The filtered rainwater tanks are for guest use, and you were informed that only water bottles are allowed, not 40 liters upon leaving the park. Guidelines are in place to ensure fair access for everyone.
You were informed about other available water sources in the park upon your departure, from which you filled your bottles, and we appreciate your understanding in that regard. We’d also like to mention that while we value all guest feedback, it’s important to focus on your own experience during your stay. Comments about other guests' reviews may not reflect your own unique situation.
At no time was management rude during your stay. We strive to maintain a respectful and positive environment for all guests.
We will continue working to improve clarity in our policies to ensure a better experience for all.

Site is tidy, good location. Not worth putting up with the authoritarian management. Never met such miserable people running a holiday park.
Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you liked the location and the tidiness of the site. However, we do want to address the issue regarding the arm bands. For safety and security reasons, especially over busy holiday periods like Easter, we have a policy in place that requires all guests to wear the arm bands provided. This helps us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. I did have to ask you several times over the weekend to apply the arm bands, and while we understand it might have been inconvenient, we appreciate your cooperation in following this rule. We hope you still managed to have a relaxing stay despite this.
