Very happy with the MrCool heat pump. Very easy to install. The quiet operation was impressive (compared to my old 19 year old heat pump attached to my furnace was very noisy as it had to blow air through the existing duct work). The MrCool heat pump maintained a gentle, constant heat w/o the high/low swings I previously experienced. The only problem I encountered was the #6 screws on a the EXTREMELY small terminal blocks for the 220 volt/40 amp power supply was WAY undersized! There was no way I could have attached the 8 ga. supply line. There was simply no room to fit the wire between the barrier and tiny screw. I had to reduce the line size to 10 ga. from the disconnect switch just to get the wire under the terminal. Luckily, this was still under code. I do not understand how MrCool could have configured this system with such tiny barrier strips for the primary power supply. I'm sure that this is illegal by all electrical codes that I know of. I don't trust this wire connection as this goes against the grain of EVERY electrical code that I know of! Another problem is make sure you have no other devices energized during setup with remote control. I had a portable window heat pump turned off but still connected to supply voltage and it played havoc with original power up. It screwed up some of the commands. I couldn't understand what was happening until the old unit started up instead of the MrCool. Make sure you have no other remote active during original power up.

After contacting several dealers for various ideas and recommendations, Mrcool Online assigned Curtis as my account manager. During our first call, I learned that Curtis is also an engineer, which was reassuring. He assisted in designing the system we eventually installed. When I presented a lower quote from a competitor for the same system, Mrcool Online matched it. The system arrived and was installed, and it has been running smoothly for 8 months now. Mr Cool Online Review - 2/3 Ton Universal HP Had a great experience. Curtis was very helpful in helping me decide the best system for my needs. The equipment arrived before schedule and the installation when ahead without a hitch.
