I try to answer to hp groupe after there réaction to my review to say to them. 39k for mdf is not a high-end material it is the same material then any bigbox store Any way. I just want add 49k for a paint mdf kitchen it is expensive , I start to look for the wright contractor to renovate my kitchen it is crazy Now, I have enough, I have to speak out I know the renovation is around 10k. Bryan, give me an estimation on the phone. No proper document showing me where the money was going and be spend any details. $49000 for demo/retrofit plus cabinets I know it is MAX 10k for demo/retrofit That's mean $39000 for MDF. 150 sq2 floor space. Around 28 linear feet cabinetry WITH basic MDF Painted door. KITCHEN RENO /MAKER They really take potential costumer for BIG FiSH I do not have any picture to show what I say I did not get proper estimation document

Our policy is to visit the job site, take measurements, and provide a preliminary estimate. If the pricing is within the client’s budget and they wish to proceed, we then invite them to our showroom for a complimentary consultation with our in house designer. Once the design and specifications are finalized, we provide a complete and detailed quotation. This process helps ensure that neither party wastes valuable time.

Also, you neglected to mention that another company quoted approximately $75,000 for the same scope of work. Have you considered that your assumptions regarding the project cost may not have been accurate?

We hired HP group for a basement reno and would not recommend them to anyone. They quoted 3-4 weeks originally, we added extras that they said would account for an additional week, but the job took 8 weeks total to do. They were aggressive regarding payment while never meeting timelines, had poor professionalism and an overall low quality of work. Once the job was "done" there were many issues that needed repair. They offered to fix these issues, but given their failure to meet timelines and low quality of work, we decided to do repairs ourselves. Overall we would strongly recommend not hiring this company for any renovations.

I can’t in good faith recommend HP Group. They were hired to renovate a bathroom for one of our tenants (Oct 2025). We paid extra for specific finishes, tiles, vanities, lighting, and other upgrades, but none of what we paid extra for was installed. Instead, they put in whatever they chose, without telling us or asking for approval. When we checked the work, it was clear the end result was not what we agreed to and not what we wanted. We asked for a refund for the extras we paid for but never received, including tile baseboards, name-brand faucets, and specific vanities. Since then, they’ve ignored our emails and texts. On top of that, a job that was supposed to take weeks dragged on for months, which was frustrating for us and for the tenant living there. Based on this experience, I would not recommend HP Group. I'd also like to add that upon further investigation it looks these five star reviews may be left by family of HP Group and are likely not genuine. (Jan 2026) Update: This company has communicated they will not refund the balance owed unless I remove this review - I will update it if the matter is resolved, but will not delete it. (Feb 2026) Update: The outstanding balance was paid. (March 2026)

Honestly, my experience with HP Group was very disappointing. The company felt extremely disorganized and not professional at all. There was a lack of proper planning and management, and everything seemed chaotic. From what I personally experienced and observed, payments to workers were often delayed or not handled properly, which created a lot of frustration. Communication with customers also didn’t seem clear, and projects took much longer than expected. In my opinion, the quality of work and project delivery did not meet professional standards, and overall the experience was not reliable. I would strongly suggest doing careful research before working with this company.

This was by far the worst renovation experience we have ever had. I normally never leave one-star reviews, but people seriously need to be warned before hiring this company. Our landlord hired them for a full bathroom renovation, and the excuses started immediately. They delayed the project saying materials hadn’t arrived and pushed the start date back by a week. Once they finally began, they sent only one worker, Majid, who barely worked. Most of the time he was sitting in the washroom on his phone watching reels or scrolling instead of doing the job. The moment he noticed us nearby, he would suddenly start talking and explaining plans just to look busy. We complained to the manager, Ali, who promised he would deal with it — absolutely nothing changed. The workmanship was awful. Work that was supposed to be done on our balcony (tile cutting and messy tasks) was done inside our home instead, covering everything in dust and debris. Our entire house became a construction mess because of their careless decisions. On top of that, they constantly missed days and always had a new excuse for not showing up. This project was supposed to take ONE WEEK. Instead, it dragged on for more than TWO MONTHS — and they still didn’t finish it. Many agreed items were never completed. Lights and fixtures were not replaced, and instead of the materials requested by our landlord, they installed extremely cheap, low-quality products. Some of the items didn’t even look new and appeared old or previously used, which is completely unacceptable for a paid renovation. Throughout the entire process, they kept making promises and giving explanations that simply were not true. They charged for additional work that was never completed. When we finally asked them to come back and fix the problems, they stopped answering calls and completely disappeared, leaving our bathroom unfinished and in terrible condition. After this experience, I checked other reviews and realized many people describe the exact same situation — delays, excuses, poor quality work, and unfinished jobs. Clearly this is not a one-time issue. This company wasted our time, created months of stress in our home, and delivered extremely poor and careless work. I strongly DO NOT recommend them. Save yourself the frustration, stress, and money — stay far away from this company.

Terrible experience. It started out well with Bryan (I believe he is owner as when you call the office it gets forwarded to him), visiting my home for an estimate. We discussed everything thoroughly and then he calculated the estimate which he was going to call me. He later called and provided detail and pricing where I asked specific questions for clarification. I asked him if he could write up a proper quote to ensure clarity even though he wanted a deposit without it. When I received the quote, he increased all of the pricing with no reasoning other than blaming me for not understanding. I caught him in several lies to which all he wanted to do was blame me for not understanding. I would highly recommend you choose another company. I am certain even some of the positive past reviews would advise of some pricing changes, etc. if this area was reviewed.

I’ve waited a year to write this review. Our experience with Bryan began in the summer of 2022… after a couple of consultations, an estimate and drawings were submitted and materials and finishes approved. Work began on full kitchen and dining room renovation on Oct. 3, 2022, full completion 1st week of December. Our crew was pleasant, consistent, respectful and tidy. The same crew showed up for the entire reno, which is a plus if you have pets or kids… no strangers.. another plus was all trades were ‘in-house’, no waiting for electricians, plumbers or drywallers. All cabinetry and countertops were expertly constructed and custom fit. It was a little more stressful to live in the property without kitchen/dining room for us than expected… with everything packed up and stored all over the house. So be prepared if you choose this route. Things I learned from colleagues and acquaintances, that I took for granted: Level counters without seams in weird places, level cupboards, with doors that work, plumbing that doesn’t leak, electrical outlets and fixtures installed correctly, no damage to existing areas of the house. Job finished on time and slightly under estimate. All of those things happened with HP Group. Again, it’s been a year and I still get that “pinch me - I can’t believe it” feeling with our renovation. We get many compliments, our small 100+yr old semi detached house has a functional refresh. Thank You Bryan for your patience, as well as your thoughtful, expert, and honest advice throughout the process. Would definitely recommend using this company for your next renovation/redesign.

He had the best solutions on how to finish our basement to make the best use of space and for best appearance. He is very explanatory with everything you require. Regardless of what you’re looking at having done he will give you the best results possible, guaranteed! He has a beautiful showroom for all the materials you will be required to choose. Bryan, and his team of professionals made my renovation an actual joy. This project was a full renovation of a 2 bedroom 1400 sq ft. apartment in an older building. The initial quote was reasonable, and the timeframe realistic. As details and additions were added, Bryan advised us of additional charges accordingly. The workmanship was excellent. When construction issues arose, as often happens in an older building, Bryan responded with initiative and speed. He made some excellent suggestions on design, but always followed my instructions. The Superintendent of our building has put HP Group Inc at the top of his recommendation list due to the care of the common elements by HP Group's onsite team.

They helped us re-think the space in our small condo kitchen and it is now far more functional than it was before. They're design suggestions were very good. Once on the job, Ali, the project manager, proactively asked questions before taking action when there were implementation decisions to be made and usually responded to our questions within minutes. When inevitable hiccups come up are noticed, Ali, Bryan and team addressed these matters quickly and without added cost. I would highly recommend HP Group based on our nearly seamless experience.

My husband and I met with a few different companies and at the end of the week we looked at each other and on the count of three said who our favourite was.......and that was Bryan from HP! He was wonderful right from the start!! He was professional, easy to talk to and responsive. Bryan sent me his team to start our basement reno and then the main floor reno and all I can say is Ali and Arsalan feel like family now! I can't express how thrilled I am with them, they were so polite, friendly, clean, conscientious and loved our dogs. Their work was absolutely perfect! Bryan popped in a few times to check in with us to make sure we were happy and WE ARE SO HAPPY!!! I would recommend Bryan and his team for any job you have around the house! I hired HP Group Inc to replace the floors and to update the kitchen and vanity tops. Bryan is very professional in all of his dealings. He/ his crew came on time for estimates and meetings. They gave me an accurate/realistic time frame. They followed COVID-19 protocols properly. They completed the job one-time. My biggest issue was that we live in the unit and did not have any storage to take all of the furniture out. For an additional charge, they accommodated us. They worked on one room at a time and moved everything back where it belonged. We are extremely happy with the quality of products, communication and workmanship.

We were looking to update and modernize the functional appearance of the house. Ali and his team installed vinyl laminate flooring, replaced the dated kitchen counters with beautiful quartz counters and backsplash. They totally transformed the bathroom with a stunning vanity cabinet with under mount sink and quartz counter top. The main entrance and hallway was given a grand, stately appeal with a bound-edge carpet runner installed, complimenting the refinished hardwood steps. All-in-all an incredible transformation, and all work was completed professionally, exactly on time, and exactly on budget. The team exceeded expectations - Thank you.

Words cannot express how happy I am with the work and results from Bryan and his team. From the moment Bryan came to view my bathroom renovation, I knew he was the contractor I wanted to go with. He is very courteous and respectful and above all professional. My renovation was the removal of a bathtub to be replaced with a shower, new vanity and floor tiles. Ryan and Moh were the 2 contractors assigned to my job. They were very detailed with their work and did a fantastic job. At the end of each day, you could barely tell there was work being done in the house. Bryan’s team work very hard. There were a few hiccups along the way, none their fault and were very helpful in rectifying the problem. The project was completed on time and on budget. I have a few more projects I would like to do in my house and I will definitely be calling Bryan and his team to do the work.
