Food is not for anyone who is vegan. There are no options. The restaurant is beautiful. However the service is terrible. Spent $80 for breakfast and literally had to ask for everything, including silverware. We won’t go again despite liking the location. Service is terrible. It really detracts from the experience. For the price, no thanks.

Reservation was at 10:45 AM for brunch today. A server was not assigned to our table so a member of our party had to get up and ask someone as we had been sitting there for 15 minutes. They actually told us that no one was assigned to us. We had guests in from out of town and small children so once a server finally came over, we ordered everything at one time. Coffee came out after 11:30 AM, Sodas came out around 11:45 AM, my daughter’s orange juice came out closer to noon, and tea was just plain forgotten for a guest. Appetizers and soup came out with entrees AND everything was carried out one by one slowly. The two veg quiches were cold and weren’t set so we asked for new ones. Five minutes later the server came back and said they were out of veg quiche. We selected another option but at this time the rest of our party was finishing up. Food was bland and missing ingredients that the menu described and we got the two late entrees to go. A manager NEVER ONCE stopped by to talk to us and the excuse we got from our server is that kitchen and service staff called out day of. I understand that challenging days occur but this is our fourth or so visit to the restaurant and it has never been stellar. We want it to do well because it’s a great location and a beautiful space but after today’s fiasco we will not return. We know that the culinary and front of the house management has continued to overturn. What’s going on here, leadership?

Pretty typical upscale restaurant with not much personality. The food was great. Somehow they lost our reservation (taken over the phone) but they were able to seat us with a short wait. The food was really good but I don't feel the need to ever come back. If you make a reservation, get confirmation!

Had a reservation for brunch for a small group this past weekend and it started out well - the hostess was pleasant personable and asked if I wanted inside or outside and offered to show me what the outside table would be to help make my decision, which was really nice. The rest of the meal didn't go so well. We had to ask for a drink menu twice, long waits between being visited by our server, missing items, no knowledge of the menu (didn't know the daily quiches or what the seasonal veggies were), lukewarm food, and it just didn't seem nearly busy enough to justify the inattentive service we received. We asked for condiments 3 times (from 2 different people over 10+ minutes) before we received them, making those lukewarm fries even cooler before eating them. No one had any complaints about the taste of their food, which is great! but everyone did have the same complaint about it being lukewarm at best. One of the dishes that was forgotten and followed a while later was fresh off the stove and hot, so that's an upside to it being late, I suppose. We mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday in our group, but they didn't do anything with that knowledge - which, not every restaurant is required to give out a dessert for a celebration, but I was surprised that this particular restaurant didn't. I know that being a server is hard - been there, done that! - but from the very beginning we knew that it was going to be a rough time service-wise. We were more chill about it (other than me writing this review, I'm sorry), I know that there are people who could be very un-chill about it and this is a heads up for them: the vibe is Carmel fancy, but the service isn't.

The food is average. The service is slow. The dining room is always too cold.

Stayed at the hotel and had a breakfast here. This is not your typical Marriott breakfast! They do it right.

Their patio is the best place to go on a warm evening. Live music was wonderful and the food and drinks were top notch.

Their menu does not work.

Just ok. Went on a Thursday night to celebrate our anniversary. Ambience was dark & lackluster. Got our drinks pretty quickly & they were delicious. Ordered the French onion soup & soup de jour for apps, also came in a timely fashion and were tasty. However, it took 20-30 minutes at least to get our entrees even though there were only 3-4 parties in the whole restaurant, including us. Server never acknowledged the long wait or apologized. Finally got our entrees, the pork loin & short ribs and both were pretty good but just kinda meh. No celebratory dessert offered, which we’ve always had at other restaurants we’ve dined at. Came here because I thought they offered French cuisine, but the menu definitely wasn’t French. Overall, disappointing & not worth the $. Won’t be back.

The most delicious and beautiful dishes! We celebrated my daughter's birthday, and we felt like we were very important people 😁 Then we got the big surprise. The compliment birthday cake 🎂 from the restaurant! Highly recommend to come and get that experience!

Great food, but the service left a bit to be desired. Staff moved kind of slow and wasn't terribly attentive.

My wife & I usually use Devour Indy to check out new restaurants & see if they're worth going back to later on. This evening we tried Vivante, a French eatery, & it was pretty good. The portions weren't the biggest, but that's to be expected.. it was still quite tasty & the service was excellent. We saw a few other things on the menu that we were curious about so I'm pretty sure that we'll be back..😋

My sister and I had an awesome birthday dinner for her last week at Vivante. The service, the food, and the birthday cake were all 5 star. And a special shout out to Megan the Gen. Mgr. who was SO nice and pays such great attention to detail! Highly recommend!

Edit: I appreciate that the restaurant took on our previous comments and there are more vegetarian options now. The Pumpkin Ravioli is very good. The Pesto Pasta needed to be cooked more. This is a good restaurant. The piano being played in the hotel lobby can be heard downstairs as well adding to the ambience. We loved our Ratatouille. It was piping hot and delicious. Overall a good place for a date night.

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food! My husband and me went here for a couples getaway complete with a stay at Hotel Carmichael. The restaurant was so beautiful, the service was top notch and the food divine! Will be returning ❤️❤️

Fig appetizer was delicious. Ordered cocktails, would def recommend Ella & Louis. The Martini Madness left a lot to be desired- oily texture and spicy odd taste. The Stuffed Quail was our favorite. I got the Halibut, not very seasoned and the Brussel sprouts were not pleasant in texture. This is a great atmosphere for a romantic date. Service was ok. A nice place to dress up and go out on the town locally. We would go back.

The service team were so nice and accommodating and the whole experience was nice. The reason for 4 stars is that food wasn’t 5stars. I got the short rib grilled cheese. It was just ok, not juicy or flavorful. Same with my partner breakfast burger, not flavorful, just ok.
