Extremely disappointing experience with HeySara, especially after becoming a paying customer.
I signed up with HeySara basic plan $199 because of their strong Google reviews and the impression that they would provide reliable, transparent company secretarial support. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite.
From the very first interaction, there has nothing but claims of mandatory processes which they later corrected when I asked for ACRA evidence to show prood of compliance, constant upselling and additional charges for even the most basic tasks — tasks that I later discovered I could have done myself directly in BizFile with Singpass.
The only reason I engaged HeySara was because I needed assistance appointing a company secretary after incorporation. However, once I converted to a paid customer, I found myself being quoted extra fees repeatedly for:
- The simplest procedural updates
- Basic changes in BizFile
- “Mandatory” documents that were never mentioned during sign-up
- Additional one-time charges that kept appearing along the way
What made the experience worse was that every request seemed to trigger yet another hidden cost, even when I was fully capable of completing the process myself if they had provided clear guidance upfront.
When I finally requested something extremely simple — help appointing a new secretary so I could take over the filings myself — I was told they could not assist due to “compliance requirements,” despite this being the entire reason I engaged them in the first place.
HeySara prioritizes upselling over actually getting anything done, the biggest myth is their 4.8 stars probably all reviews that were bought/bot generated.
Definitely won't reccomend HeySara to anybody unless I have a grudge with them

Additional requests—such as BizFile updates, document amendments, or third-party coordination—fall outside the plan’s scope and therefore come with separate fees, in line with industry practice and ACRA requirements. We understand you were unable to access CorpPass to make certain changes yourself, and while we’re happy to assist, such support is not included in the Basic Plan.
Regarding your request to appoint a new secretary who is not from an ACRA-licensed Corporate Service Provider, we are required by law to verify their qualifications before proceeding. This ensures your company remains compliant and protected. The related fee was communicated in advance.
Please be assured that any additional charges only apply to services not covered under the Basic Plan. We also wish to clarify that our reviews are genuine—our 4.8-star rating reflects the positive experiences shared by over 2,600 clients.

HeySara offers tiered corporate secretary services, from a basic digital option at $598 to a more premium HS+ service at $998, which is marketed as providing responsive, human-led support. I chose the latter, expecting professionalism and timely handling of time-sensitive matters. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of those expectations.
On June 25, I clearly instructed the account manager that I wanted my company incorporated on July 1. Despite this, the company was only registered on July 2, and only after I chased for an update. The delay was not due to regulatory or system issues, it was caused by internal human error. One team member initially blamed the ACRA portal, but another later admitted it was a breakdown in communication on their side. For a premium service, this level of disorganisation is unacceptable.
To make matters worse, there are hidden costs that are not transparently communicated upfront, adding to the frustration. The experience felt less efficient than what I would have expected from a basic digital service.
If you're still considering HeySara, I’d strongly recommend choosing only the digital service or the most basic package. Paying more for human-led support simply isn't worth it; you’ll likely end up doing the follow-up work yourself. I regret paying a premium for a service that didn’t deliver on its promises.
