Worst rental experience I've ever had. The car was dirty and smelled, marked as full, but only 3/5 full of gas, and had issues with the collision system so that it would give warning sounds at random times when nothing was wrong. Then, the key fob stopped working. I had to swap it out in Chicago it was so bad. AVOID this place - just go to the airport.

Unbelievable!!!... They call you too early.. outside the law abided time just to cancel you. Try to call them during actual business hours and they don't answer!!!!.. report them to the AG for 730am calls!

If I could give no stars I would. Never will I rent through Hertz again. From start to finish this was a horrible experience. We returned the car and when I handed the key to the rental agent he assured me he would take care of it. Then I started receiving daily charges of $100 on my credit card. I called the office number numerous times and no one ever answered. My sister, who lives in Carmel, went to the office and had a terrible experience trying to get this settled. I am waiting to see how long it takes them to reverse the incorrect charges.

Great service .. Mimi is the kindest sweetest smartest wonderful rental car lady. Always has a car super clean, nice selection of cars here . We think the best around . And definitely , the best hertz in the indianapolis area for sure.

Had a confirmed car rental. Showed up to get the car and was told it was “booked too late” and they did not have a car. Then, the person who acted like customer service was a chore, suggested calling enterprise.

Rented a car while my truck is being worked on. The in person transaction was carried out by Mimi. She was polite, efficient, and patiently went through the process and a good tutorial for the Polestar electric car we were renting. Mimi gets 5 stars, but having the local phone answered by the Hertz corporate, leave us a message line causes me to ding you a bit. How much does it cost to have a human answer your phone?

Awful experience. I told the guy i left a few cups in the car and he told me that was okay. he said it smelt like smoke when i didn’t smoke in the car. he told me he wouldn't charging me then lied to me. because i just got a receipt for a cleaning and smoking charge!!! I also filled up the gas tank when the tank wasn’t full to begin with and he did nothing to credit me back for the free gas i put in their car. Will try to never rent from there again! awful service. they will lie to you. at least have a backbone and tell me i’ll be charged i would of went and cleaned it myself! wow!

Not a great experience. Attendant was a bit lazy. No walk around. Did not tell us if we dropped car off on weekend we would be charged until Monday. Questioned our purchase of liability insurance from Expedia. Won't rent from this location again.

Rented a car here through booking.com. Verified availability at this location through Hertz itself. Arrived on time for a family trip that begins today to pick up our vehicle, only to be told no vehicles were available. The guy at the counter claimed we did not provide a phone number or email address during booking. We absolutely provided both and verified that via our Hertz reservation confirmation (I'm not even sure how you could successfully reserve a rental car without providing these, but whatever). Totally unhelpful and unprofessional employee who said he could not contact any other Hertz locations to check nearby inventory. He didn't even apologize, and just told us to drive to the airport. I'm more shocked than angry at this point - have never experienced anything like this.

Went here because my insurance covers it. We set up an appointment for a car to be used for a week. The payme t was supposed to be $200 now and $600 later. They were trying to make me pay over $800 upfront. The website does not mention that. It does not mention big fees up front.

I would give them zero stars if I could. They downgraded the vehicle I reserved, no price changes, the vehicle has a significant oil leak that messed up the garage floor (there is a puddle on the floor), I was told to go to this place to get an exchange and they will be open till 6pm. I went there at 5:30 and it says on their door that they close at 5pm. I am on the phone for 15 minutes (and it still counts) to get the roadside assistance, no human at all. I am strongly dissatisfied.

Zero stars, but had to put one for review to post. Absolutely worst customer experience I’ve ever had from a rental company. Don’t even try to call the local office in Carmel, they won’t pick up the phone which is super frustrating. Also, when dropping off my rental the staff seemed annoyed and rude. Another customer waiting even noticed how poorly I was treated. Never renting from Hertz again if I can avoid them.

This is by far the worst rental car branch you can rent from. I was charged for 3 days of a rental. I didn't have the car for more than 12 hours (dropped off at night in dropbox). There was no contact or call, just a bill with the charges. An absolute embarrassment of a company. NEVER RENT ANYTHING FROM HERE!!!!

I still don’t like my experience with this location but someone above them at least cares about customer service. this place has terrible vibes and worse customer service. The person behind the counter hates their job and it shows
