My 2 year old Aussie went through the Dream Dog program about a month ago and my only regret is not doing this sooner! Walks went from frustrating, constant pulling, and barking at other dogs and people, to calm, peaceful, and confident for both my dog and myself! I feel much more confident having new people over in the house with her place training. I feel less frustration on a day to day basis with her not barking at every person that walks by. Overall, this program has brought so much peace, confidence, and assurance in our home (which was much needed with a baby on the way in 2 months!) Mike has done an amazing job answering questions from my first inquiry, to follow ups a week later!

We took our Irish Doodle puppy Maple to Calypso training and it was life changing. Maple stays in place until released, she doesn’t pull when walking outside and follows all basic commands. In just 10 days she learned to be an obedient dog. She is so well behaved and it’s so easy to take her to public places now. We keep training her every day so she keeps excelling her skills. She is our dream dog!!! This training was everything!!!! Thank you,Mike for doing such a great job with Maple!

I adopted a headstrong boxer puppy in 2022. I underestimated his level of energy and I overestimated my level of fitness to train him well. I have owned many dogs but his behavior was defeating me as he refused to walk on leash. He’d literally sit down and refuse to budge.He refused to come to us and he was digging up our backyard. Basically a holy terror. As a last resort I got him into a 3 week board and train off leash. Our trainer was Olivia and we were very happy with her updates on D’s progress and pictures on instagram. We had never used an e collar before and when she brought him back she spent about 90 minutes with us training US. He came back a different dog. He’s anxious to please and he minds very well. Mind you, he was just 7 months when he went to “boot camp” but he came back ready to be a team player and member of the family. A year later, we’ve continued his training and he walks fairly well on the leash. He can go off leash and comes when called. I’ve not ruled out a refresher course for him in the future. Such a joy to have a well behaved pet instead of an anarchist despot.

This team did a phenomenal job training my impulsive 2.5-year-old, 50-pound Goldendoodle. She went to Calypso with issues like leash pulling, racing to the door whenever it opened or the doorbell rang, and jumping on people. After 10 days at Calypso, she no longer does any of those things. She follows a place command when someone is at the door and waits to be released, and we were able to take her to a restaurant for the first time last week without worrying that she would jump on anyone or run off if something more interesting caught her attention. She no longer pulls on the leash and has perfect off-leash recall. It's important to note that maintaining these behaviors requires consistent practice at home. We wanted a second dog but were hesitant because we didn't think we could handle it, but within three weeks of bringing our newly-trained dog home, we got another. Our new puppy will also be going to Calypso for training.

My 2yr old labradoodle is awesome but had some negative yet expected attributes that I couldn’t remedy on my own. A friend recommended Calypso Canine and I was still skeptical as to whether it would work. After the 10 day training, I now have an obedient dog, and the my stress level has drastically been reduced. We can enjoy Hudson and all the love he has to offer without being worried that he will run out the door or eat food off the table, or jump on my guests to greet them. This is well worth the money. I too would recommend them for anyone looking to get their dog trained.

Mike and Crystal do an amazing job training and taking care of your dog. Ours was with them for their most popular package and even though she’s still a puppy, what a difference in her since she’s been home. We couldn’t be happier with the decision to send Penny there, she was very well cared, updates were posted daily, and any questions we had were answered within minutes.

If we could leave more than 5 stars, we would! Crystal is a truly dedicated and expert trainer. We could immediately see the results of her work with our border collie mix Sunny in just 10 days when we picked him up. His loose leash walking and place commands were spot on. She really built the foundation for us, and it's been super easy to upkeep the training at home, both on and off leash. And Mike is an awesome communicator and coordinator. Any update or info you might need, he's got your back. He also does a wonderful job of following up and providing any support needed. We're grateful to be a part of the Calypso family and can't thank them enough for a great training experience. If you're ever on the fence about training with Calypso, we promise it's worth the investment!

They did amazing with my girl Star! She went for a 3 week puppy board and train and she came back a completely different dog. She has better house manners, walks on leash in a perfect heel, and she knows basics so well now! They even dropped her off so they could teach/demonstrate to us on how to keep up with her training which is very important if you want your dogs training and behavior to continue being good. They made Star feel at home and loved on her like she was their own family. Thank you guys so much! I'd definitely recommend them.

Can’t thank the Calypso family enough! My Yorkie pup was constantly whining for food and being sassy every time we said no, or turned on the vacuum. She now stays in place until we let her free. She would constantly pull on her leash because the noises outside made her nervous, specially the landscapers, and cars driving by. Today we took her for a walk outside and although she was still nervous about the noises she would not pull on the leash. She did seem scared and would try to run fast, but as soon as I said sit, she would sit in place as long as I wanted. She is overall more calm and an easier dog to be around. We could not have asked for a better trainer for our Capri!

Would highly recommend calypso to anybody looking to get their dogs trained. We couldn’t be happier with the results when we got our puppy, Kona back. Mike and Crystal are experienced, professional, educated and above all, trustworthy to leave your puppy/ dog with under their care.

Amazing! I was at my breaking point and wanted training ASAP for our puppy (normal puppy behaviors but in a house with toddlers and busy parents). Calypso had a wait at the time but I “patiently” waited because I had heard such good things about their program (and I wanted the lifetime guarantee). I’m happy I waited. Well worth it! Our dog just turned 1, is so well behaved, and can now be more active joining the family on walks/runs during the day because of his training (win-win for everybody). The staff is super responsive with questions even weeks after training.

I sent my dog here for the 3 week on/off leash training program and I could have not picked a better place for my dog to go! I was a little hesitant to drop my dog off to some random person but when I dropped him off Alivia reassured me and made sure I knew he would be treated like family! Alivia did amazing at keeping me updated the 3 weeks my dog was there and posted on her Instagram daily so i could see his progress. I did not expect my dog to come back a solider but he surely is more well-behaved than I could have imagined and I am truly grateful. When it was time for the go home Alivia was very thorough with showing me the commands my dog learned and how to use the e-collar and prong collar. My dog went from barking at everyone he saw and pulling on the leash to now being able to take him out to eat at restaurants on the patio! Mike is amazing! my dog who is a doberman went to training over a year ago and he is now a registered emotional support animal, and the best listener!! Thank you Calypso training and Mike! If you’re looking for good training this is the place!

I cannot possibly say enough about my experience with Calypso Canine. Right from the start, when I reached out for information, Mike very promptly emailed me back with a wealth of information, and he entertained every single question I had with all the patience in the world. We chose the program best suited for my dog given the behaviors I wanted to correct. Knowing that they book out in advance because they intentionally only work with a smaller number of dogs at a time, I knew it was a long shot to ask if they could take my 7 month old German Shepherd while I was already going to be out of town for work about 3-4 weeks after my reach out. Mike worked some magic and agreed to take Luna during those dates - I was ecstatic. Mike communicated every step of the way leading up to the drop off, and was flexible with me even then when I was late due to traffic. He observed Luna's behavior with me and then did some basics with her himself. He showed me the training area and let me feel the collar so I knew exactly what Luna would feel, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I knew when I left that day she was in good hands. While she was there for the 10 Day Dream Dog program, I received regular updates via text and could see them on Instagram too. Again - this gave me so much peace of mind, but also pride in my puppy and her progress. I couldn't wait to pick her back up. Once again, flexibility in scheduling pickup which I appreciated greatly. On graduation day, Mike demonstrated Luna's new skills for me, and then let me do the same and practice with her while in his presence. I was astounded by how different my dog was in 10 days! She is like a different dog now in her behavior, but in the best ways possible. I took her to a horse show the very next day, told her to lay down in place and she listened immediately and STAYED there for over an hour while other people, dogs and even horses walked within a foot of her. She didn't even think about budging. I vacuumed yesterday and she just sat and watched - before Calypso, she was barking at it and trying to bite it. Walks since coming home are so much more relaxed, loose leash the whole way, no hyperactive behavior when other dogs pass by. If you're even remotely thinking about it for your dog, do yourself a favor and contact Calypso Canine. You will thank yourself later for having the best pup on the block. Can't thank the team enough - Luna and I are forever grateful!

Can’t say enough positive things about Calypso Canine. I have a Aussie doodle that went through Mikes training a year and half ago and it’s changed our world. Can leash walk her perfectly and she puts herself in “place” when someone comes in the house. Highly recommend Calypso Training!!

My husband and I sent our one year old labradoodle for training. We didn’t know what to expect since she wasn’t technically a puppy anymore but wow she is a different dog! Calypso exceed our expectations. She is doing everything we requested and more. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for any kind of dog training but especially if you just want your dog to be obedient like we did. If I could give them 10 stars I would!
