HORRIBLE company I wish I could put zero stars. my telehealth therapist would be on her phone scrolling, not pay attention to me, sit there in silence after I spoke, and offered me absoutely no therapy, guidance, or care. After submitting a complaint about my therapist and asking to not pay for the balance of the services I WASN’T provided, they refused to disregard the charges or fix the problem in any way. Michelle Bernard-Danielson, the “Compliance Analyst” was absolutely horrible and is the one who rejected my complaint. This business is ONLY after people’s money and do not care at all about their clients mental health. highly dissatisfied and disgusted with this company.

Fraudulent Billing, terrible experience Horrible experience with their billing - to the point of being fraudulent. My insurance would pay them via check through my HRA account. First, they refused to update their mailing address with BCBS so the checks would go to a mailbox that they claim they didn't check regularly. Then I would call and tell them there were checks waiting there and they would finally go look. Then they would cash the check and refuse to post it to my account balance; instead, still insisting that I owed them money. They only dropped the charges and paused sending my bills to collections when I provided written emails and check images showing that they had been paid and cashed the checks. Their billing department refuses to call back when they say they will, will not follow up email communication as instructed, and refuses to work with most insurance companies efficiently. This whole scenario above happened more than once. I will never, ever, book an appointment with them again. Aside from the billing problems, their providers would often miss appointments, I would call and the front desk would be unable to tell me why my video would not connect, their technology dropped often and the sound was messed up. The whole outfit was unprofessional. I wish I could give less than 1 star. STAY AWAY.

Took advantage!! Scammers!! Took my son's intake, charged our Insurance 1100.00 for nothing without his knowledge or permission and then refused to treat him after the "intake exam"...scam...scam...scam!!!!! Had to give 1 star, but they deserve less!!! If you are looking for a company that will take advantage of people seeking help who may be a little unfamiliar with the ins and outs of the system, this is the pace for you!

I thought my experience would be different. SCAMMERS EMILY MORRISON CHANGED MY DISCHARGE PAPERWORK. I discharged BECAUSE your facility ILLEGALLY refused to hand me my OWN therapy notes. Also after billing errors. Also Harmony bay DOES NOT DO ACCOMMODATIONS. If you have med management, you will have to go to hell and back to get any. Yall suck. I see why yall have lawsuits

Predatory Company - Steer Clear I have had a variety of experiences with therapy over the past few years. This was by far the worst. Their intake process is far FAR more complicated than it needs to be, almost to the point of intentionally hoping prospective patients will fail and have to pay them “cancellation fees.” I received 15 emails and 9 text messages (generally lengthy and redundant) in the space of just a few days. When I finally did get to my appointment, I was told it was cancelled because I didn’t fill everything out, then charged a large fee. And the person who “helped” me was rude and confrontational about it, too!! This was after I had already spent 30 minutes on the phone answering questions about myself, signed up for their patient portal, uploaded documents, filled out paperwork, and provided payment info. They do not care at ALL about helping patients. Overwhelmed people genuinely looking for help should not have to jump through ten thousands hoops just to get a simple intake appointment. Appalling.

Provider did not show up to virtual appointment with no reasoning Very disappointed. I recently moved to a new state, so naturally I needed to find a new provider. I had a time scheduled and confirmed for a virtual appointment, and the provider just did not show up to the appointment with no prior warnings of needing to reschedule/cancel. The front desk was unable to identify why the provider did not show up, and were unable to provide any other solutions for me other than rescheduling for the week after. As someone who needs a new provider to prescribe me with the same medication I had from my previous provider in Virginia, this is incredibly stressful. I was grateful to have this appointment scheduled as it lined up perfectly with the last dose I had of my prescription, so when the doctor just didn't show up with no explanation as to why, it made me especially upset. I even got into the waiting room early, and as of now have been sitting in the waiting room for almost an hour (see image attached, the screen has not changed one bit in the past hour) with absolutely zero communication from the provider.

Actual scam Did an intake appointment for med management, diagnosed and on the meds for decades. They billed my intake appointment as an $1,100 diagnostic psych eval and refused to prescribe the meds. They won't return my calls about the bill. Absolutely insulting, don't waste your time.

Don't waste your money here! I had an intake phone call where the woman on the phone did not tell me that it would cost $150 if my insurance didn't cover it. She never once mentioned I would be charged this much. She told me explicitly that it would be a $30 copay. This wasn't even the therapy session - this was only the intake call, which is kind of insane. I have had great therapists in the past, and this just confirms that going through some larger organization rather than through private referrals is insane. Dear Harmony Bay Wellness, for god sakes, please train your people better. You're providing a service for people who really need to work on their mental health, not be harmed by your incompetent staff. I also was left on hold and hung up on several times in order to learn more about the charge. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Awful - couldn't connect via portal due to tech problem - NEVER got back to me Horrible experience. Portal is badly designed so you cannot email anyone and to speak to someone you need to go through a long phone tree. My portal had a technical problem and no one could assist me in any way. I could not have the telehealth appts due to the portal problem. My provider was told this several times. I asked her to phone me through the person I got through the phone tree. She refused to call me. So I was just dropped at that point since I could not reach her in any fashion. No one followed up. I had prescriptions that needed to be refilled. Didn't matter. I filled out a complaint form. No one responded. STAY AWAY.

Misleading Information and Unexpected Costs I recently had an experience with Harmony Bay Wellness Center, and unfortunately, it was not as positive as I had hoped. My first visit was on December 19, 2023, and during my initial inquiry, I was explicitly told that they accepted Tufts Health Direct Silver 2000. However, in February 2024, I was informed that they are not in-network with my insurance, and I would have to pay for the services I received. This was a shock and has caused unexpected financial strain. I am disappointed in the lack of transparency regarding their network status. If there was a change, I believe I should have been informed after my first visit to avoid any confusion. I hope that others considering Harmony Bay Wellness are aware of the potential for discrepancies in the information provided, especially regarding insurance coverage. Clear communication is crucial, and unfortunately, my experience did not meet that expectation. I would not recommend this center to anyone!!!

My name is Marian Winkelman, when dealing with a disease of depression anxiety and ADHD is the worst thing somebody could experience. But what is even harder is to find a Psychiatrist that understands what you are going through and how sad this is to deal with every single day. I have found from the receptionist to the counselor to the psychiatrist that they are all very professional and caring . I am so thankful that I have come across Harmonybaywellness because they have taking the weights and worry off my shoulders that I will be taking care of.

They say their improving over the next six weeks, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Had two separate psychiatric providers quit during my one year with the practice. Refills routinely not called in and the medical team can't be reached and is instead routed to an answering machine. The medical team has *never* answered the phone personally and almost never return phone calls to confirm that something was done about your problem. The online portal has an option to see your sent messages but absolutely not feature to send a message. The billing department is also an answering machine that tells you to email them. I also see a therapist through HB and she has had to intervene several times on my behalf to let them know that I was running out of medication and that the pharmacy had been trying to contact them repeatedly. To be honest, I only stayed with them because I like my therapist so much. They sent an email out on March 27, 2023 saying that they had received feedback about issues and would be expanding their staff over the next 6 weeks to address various issues. They still have about a month as of this review, but I don't have the patience to see if they actually follow through and am moving on to another service soon.

Terrible Experience altogether Billed for a 10 minute intake that I was told I wouldn't be charged for. Then misdiagnosed and refused care if I didn't follow their care plan. Horrendous experience that made me feel worse than I already am

Horrendous and frustrating experience I would give zero stars if possible. Had a 20 minute intake with one provider then assigned to a therapist who quit after my first appointment so I was reassigned to a new therapist who I met with once then that person quit. I was also billed copays when I shouldn’t have been and communication with their billing department is only via email. Stay away from the agency!!!!

Rude and only took me if I wanted expensive "intensive" help I was very disheartened interacting with the intake individuals, who were very rude and discouraging. Unless I was interested in weekly sessions with a psychologist, physchiatric sessions 2x month plus group sessions I was told I wasn't a "fit." I will tell my GP to stop referring people here. I am on a budget, didn't want drugs and these folks seemed after the lucrative "intensive" approach. I had no idea what that even meant until I wasted 25 minutes of my time navigating through 3 different intake people.

All of the one start reviews are true! I really wanted this place to be good, mainly because I've been desperate for a psychiatric evaluation. But unfortunately, harmony bay is not good.. mainly on the admin side. Like everyone else, I found it impossible to get in touch with anyone directly because of their queue system. I was bounced left and right to different phone lines for different departments and still did not get an answer. I received a cancellation fee even though I called before their 24 hr deadline. Even with the fees and copays, they do not provide receipts on the patient portal so we can understand when the fee or copay was for. This should be common practice. An appointment of mine was cancelled without a notice even being given to me. Even though they are good at reminded you 3-4 times about your upcoming appointment, they don't seem to have the same commitment to cancellation notices. My mental health should not be risked for things that were not my fault. I wish the practice as a whole was more considerate of that. My treatment overall was not as organic as I'd expect it to be. I was just given a quick sliding scale survey and was prescribed a medication. The therapy sessions were more so vague and like speaking with a guidance counselor or life coach than an actual therapist. It was easier for me to request a discharge, which is not saying much. A lot of reevaluation and change needs to happen in order for me to ever come back to this place. A LOT.

I should have checked the reviews prior to becoming a patient at Harmony Bay. The billing department is incredibly sneaky and will bill you without notice or consent. I was told I was covered 100% by my insurance then received a $500+ bill in the mail. Trying to get an explanation was impossible as no one picks up the phone, returns voicemails, or answers emails. My card was charged three times with no notice and when I finally got to speak with Vincent about the matter he belittled me and contradicted himself for 14 minutes before I hung up and succumbed to the payment. Do yourself a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. As of December 19, 2022, I was charged without notice again even after requesting and paying the total amount owed. It took days to have someone respond to me with a reason why, and the answer was no less rude and condescending than it was when I spoke with Vincent over the phone. From the bottom of my heart, I truly mean it when I say do not become a patient here.

intake impossible I made an appointment for my son who has clinical depression. I was not told about paperwork in the phone call so I didn't know it was sent to my son. On the day of our appointment, I received a confirmation email so my son, not knowing about the paperwork, waited for an hour online. When I called, they told me about the paperwork. But it still doesn't explain WHY they send a confirmation if the appointment was cancelled. Wouldn't it make MORE sense to have a generic email letting you know that you missed something??? Anyway, we made another appointment on Friday and the office sent us the new paperwork. I watched my son fill it out and answered questions that he didn't know. Again, we get a confirmation-yay, it's on! NOOOO, again he waits an hour and no one shows-call the office and the office tells me that maybe he didn't do something because they have no paperwork. I watched him do the paperwork! If something didn't go through, how do we know?! How are we supposed to know what you are missing?! Instead, appointment cancelled again. He was so frustrated that he doesn't want to go back to therapy, so thanks a lot!!! Your practice actually made things worse for him-good job!
