Came from out of town for a Penn State game. We went here for lunch before the game. The food was really good. The only reason that I gave a 4 for food is we would’ve liked more short ribs on our nachos :) But, to make up for it, I had one of the best smashburgers ever. We had the absolute joy of having Christen wait on us. She was super fun to talk to, was knowledgeable about the food and drinks and was so ATTENTIVE to us. The extra bonus was her twin sister Megan is just as much fun. If I’m ever back, I will be going to see the twins. Do yourself a favor when you go, ask for one of the twins. You won’t regret it.

Happy Valley Live was a fantastic experience! The service was perfect, fast, and friendly. A special shoutout to Erin for providing wonderful service and helping make our visit even better! The food was absolutely worth the price, and the atmosphere had that classic sports bar vibe that makes it such a great place to eat and hang out. My personal favorite was the fresh-cut fries! I’m a VERY picky person when it comes to my fries, and these absolutely met my standards! They were exactly what I was hoping for. Between the outstanding service, delicious food, and awesome atmosphere, Happy Valley Live definitely deserves 5 stars. We had a great experience and will happily be coming back! 🍟🏈

Everything was amazing from top to bottom. The food was delicious & service was fast & our server was so friendly & helped us with any questions we had. They had awesome live music going & our drinks were some of the best we’ve had. The owner Pat (super nice guy!) greeted us & made sure we were happy with ever thing & didn’t need anything. We would highly recommend this place as its menu selection has anything you’d want! They make their soups & dressings from scratch which is hard to find these days. Check it out, you will not be. Happy you did. Friendly staff & wonderful service all around! We will definitely be back.

This is the perfect location for any true Penn State fan. The service is amazing and the food is even better. It is great for after work happy hours or a place to have a meal with your family. Highly recommend.

My feelings are mixed because the food was delicious, but the restaurant thinks it's okay to tack on a 4% fee for paying with a credit card, like credit cards are a new thing still. There's no way the restaurant gets charged that high of a fee on any transaction, even with AMEX. I appreciate that they put it right on the front of the menu unlike some other places in town that have it as fine print on the bill. Also 5-stars for having Coke products in an area that struggle to obtain service from CocaCola! I neglected to take any photos of my food. I had the mushroom ravioli and it was 5-stars.

My fiancé and I went for a date night there tonight and we were truly shocked at how reasonable the prices were for the quality and portion sizes! Our bill was about $75, we each had a beer, we shared wings as an appetizer and got shrimp scampi & chicken alfredo for dinner. I have never seen this man eat a salad but he devoured the side ceaser! It was a solid 1000/10 and we will definitely be returning!

We were a large group and the menu is very diverse and I wasn't sure what the place was best known for. Well, we all ordered something different and everyone's food was absolutely outstanding. Pat, the owner, came over and talked to us and then gave us a personal tour of the entire establishment. It was special. Great food, and amazing customer experience. When you are in Happy Valley, don't miss out!

Fun place to try, but won’t be adding to my rotation of favorites… (nervous to post this from reading other review replies but feel it’s important to give honest feedback.) Little early to our reservation, we were seated at the sports bar-like section. Waitress was nice , an older couple was seated to the table next to us and they received specials, recommendations, etc and we didn’t which was kind of odd to me. I inquired about a drink menu x2, first time it wasn’t happy hour yet, second time got the reply they didn’t have one.. which is okay but surprising. I don’t drink much so I always really look for things to choose from. They had one drink advertised on the table which I got, and a screwdriver (an option from the bartender after I asked multiple times what drinks they recommend. The food was okay. The ravioli for $25 felt like a small portion.. My cheesesteak was good. Two appetizers, boardwalk fries and cherry pepper shooters - there were only 4 of them and it was $12 with tax which was steep to me for 4. Toward the end, a large party was seated to our other side, who was honestly SUPER loud to the point we just left. Their 4 kids were running (not exaggerating) throughout the entire sports bar section and throughout the tables and screaming, crying, etc. I have kids myself, and think children deserve to go out to eat, but it was a lot. $100 check and honestly just wasn’t super impressed, even though I wanted to be.

Food was excellent! Great service, staff and atmosphere! We ate there on a Friday night - live music (piano/vocals) was good quality and volume was set that you could still have a conversation and enjoy the meal (and we sat right near the musician). Hadn't been in the building since the Damon's days, have done a great job with the place and all the PSU memorabilia is really cool to see! Definitely recommend!
