This is our 4th time dining here. We kept coming back due to the impeccable attention to detail by the following respective staff - Mr. Farouk's generous serving of delectable food, Mr.Firdaus's top-notch beverages & Ms.Afifa's service attentiveness. The "to-die-for" exquisite & refined cardamom & adani tea are curated by the passionate, highly-skilled barista Mr. Firdaus. In short, it is an absolute delight every time dining at Hadramawt because of its warmth, genuine & welcoming environment. Similar to the vibe & feel of dining with one's own family here.
Hadramawt Restaurant serves Yemeni and Middle Eastern food with Mediterranean influences. The restaurant is simply furnished with minimalist vibes. The walls are decorated with Islamic motifs. I ordered the Chicken Kabsah Rice, an Arabic rice dish with grilled chicken. The chicken kabsah rice was made with a flavorful chicken tomato broth with dry black lime and a mix of Arabic spices. That spiced broth was then strained and used to cook the kabsah rice in. While the kabsah rice was cooking, the chicken was broiled in the oven for a nice crispy top. The dish was served with salad, some yoghurt and a tangy spicy dip. The rice was flavorsome with a little spicy burn. The chicken was tender and well marinated. The dish can also be ordered with mutton or lamb shank.
The food was delicious! My first Yemeni meal in Singapore and I wish I could visit this beautiful country. We ordered two rice dishes for sharing. The portions are huge, the meat was so tender. We also had the hummus with pita bread, and also a Yemeni coffee to share. I wish that they informed us about the sugar in the coffee beforehand, as I don’t like it with sugar. Overall a pleasant experience and we even had a $10 return voucher (which we didn’t manage to utilized by the end of Jan).
