Cannot recommend Sonny Chimney Sweep & Repair And Fireplace Cleaning Of Maple Valley WA enough. Dave was very professional and knowledgeable. Quickly assessed the fireplace and rain cap and made recommendations. Was able to service chimney and install new efficient setup and explained everything and answered all my questions
They told me multiple times $150 for a chimney sweep cleaning. They finally showed up 3 days late to the appointment that I made the week Pryor. Things happen, okay. The kicker was when the tech showed up, he didn't even look down my chimney, he looked inside my wood stove that is perfectly functional and quotes me over $600. He said some of my bricks are cracked. I can replace those from home depot for $30 if i felt they were that bad. I said all I wanted was a cleaning. He refused to do anything unless I paid the "starting price" for cleaning and inspection of $600. Who knows what that outcome could of bin. I feel used for my time. I could of hired a real professional. I ended up buying my own sweep for $60 and a hour of work and did it myself. Make sure to call around people. This company is not the only crooked chimney company I came across in my review reading of chimney cleaning companies. This place was friendly, had good reviews, are local, which I like supporting. But after the tech tried to rob me. I felt others should be warned.
