My experience at Griffith Halls of Residence was absolutely terrible. The accommodation is extremely basic for the very high price they charge, and whenever something needs to be fixed, it takes ages for them to do it, while in the winter time they shut down the heaters so they can save money, they don’t care about the people who lives there they care just about their money.
But the worst part — they refused to return my deposit, claiming I “burned the lift.” I have absolutely no idea what that even means. I asked them politely to show me proof, and instead of any proper explanation, the manager started shouting at me, literally saying “I don’t care” right in my face. I was left sitting there for about 30 minutes waiting, only for them to show me a video of me pushing my scooter (which was switched off) — and apparently that was their “proof.”
I tried contacting them for almost two months afterward, and they completely ignored me. It’s been about four months since this happened, and still no resolution.
Honestly, if you respect yourself and your money, avoid this place. They treat students in a very unprofessional and disrespectful way. If they can’t provide solid proof of what they accuse me of. I really not recommend this place.

Heating wise, our heaters do not shut down. Our system was last year, while you were in situ, upgraded. All apartments are now furnished with reactive heaters which are updated based on prevailing weather conditions.
We note that you were prohibited from any future bookings due to excessive security reports from your apartment. You were advised of this decision on 22 November 2024.
Your deposit was approved for release by our general manager on 19 August 2025.
