I was new in the area so I didn’t have much background data of this guys but my leap of faith turned out very productive because they supplied me with an amazing garage door just as I wanted,they didn’t over charge me at all and so making the decision to install the garage door for us was no brainer!
This company does not have their own techs and does not stand behind their work. I had springs replaced in May and then my garage door fell because the pulleys weren't tightened. I called them to fix it and was told it was within warranty. A tech was dispatched out but claimed he forgot his tools and would be back. He never showed up. I called the company to let them know I would call another business and asked them to pay. They agreed and I had Midwest Garage Door to fix the issue, which cost me $105. Now Greenwood Garage Door will not pay my bill. They hung up on me and will not answer my calls. Call Midwest garage Door if you need service.
One of the cables for my single wide garage door had snapped. The curl table caused me to be unable to lower the garage door with the other cable attached. Unbeknownst to me about how heavy garage doors are I disconnected the other cable. If the only thing you take from my review is this it could save your life. A single wide garage door is extremely heavy and can kill you if it falls on you. I'm 6 ft 2 210 lbs and when that door came down I had no chance to catch it to stop it from slamming to the ground. Luckily I have two separate garage doors so wasn't trapped outside.
I did a quick Google and located this Greenwood garage door company gave them a call they could have gotten somebody out the same day however it was going to be what I consider to be late in the evening which is anytime after 6 p.m. for service work and his estimated arrival time was as late as 7:30 p.m. I opted to wait till Monday
The gentleman came out and I am so sorry I cannot remember his name introduced himself said that he had somebody with him that he was training and began working on my problem. He and the other man quickly Unwound the cables rewind the cable on both sides after replacing the damaged cable.
He then mentioned that he noticed how difficult it was to lift the garage door, which my wife complained about being too much for her to do oh, and that he went ahead and tighten up the lift to make it easier. I had my wife try it and she can easily lift the garage door now and was exceptionally happy with that. I greatly appreciated that little extra attention to detail in the service work.
Overall I am very happy with the quality of the work done and the professionalism and friendliness of the installation crew. I will definitely call them again should I need work on my garage door
