What a beautiful experience at Greenpoint Vet. I couldn’t recommend them more! 💕
I took my boy cat in to be desexed. Turned out he is actually a she 😂
The team were so lovely about it all given I had essentially booked the cat in for the wrong procedure. They handled everything so calmly and kindly. They even went on to kept her overnight at no extra cost so they could do the proper procedure the next day.
Everyone there was so friendly and caring. They all went above and beyond for us and Coconut and made us feel really comfortable. I’m so grateful ✨thanks guys x
I’ve been taking my dog Bean here for almost eight years, and I truly can’t speak highly enough of the care we’ve received.
The team are consistently kind, professional, and genuinely compassionate — not just toward the animals, but toward the humans who love them too.
Bean has always been treated with such patience and warmth, which makes every visit far less stressful for both of us. The vets take the time to explain things clearly and never make you feel rushed or dismissed. It’s very obvious that everyone here genuinely cares about the wellbeing of the animals they treat.
During what I know has been a challenging time for the clinic, I just want to say thank you for the incredible work you continue to do. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and Bean and I are very grateful to have you in our corner.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate veterinary team.
My family has been taking our animals here since the early 1990s. We've had autoimmune conditions, cancer, foreign objects and routine issues and checks. I can honestly say that our experience has been positive over 30+ years. Took Rosie my silly Kelpie X for her annual Vax and check up yesterday and she was greeted by the nursing and vet staff enthusiastically and responded similarly. For a relatively nervous rescue, this speaks volumes. Thank you Sarah and co for your exceptional clinical and all round care each and every time!
I have been bringing my own pets to this veterinary for over 10 years and my family pets were brought there before that. All of the vets and vet nurses who currently work there are amazing, I cannot speak highly enough of the care and compassion we receive upon every visit (and we attend monthly for our older dog who has arthritis!!). Thank you for the great service you provide to our two doggies and for always being helpful and kind.
I didn't receive a professional service.

You did receive a professional service and you received a response to your email complaint in just over 12 hours (so in a timely manner). It is disappointing Rocio that you needed to rate and review us badly under your own personal google account and then proceed to rate and review us badly under your business account (and then deny doing this). But that is a reflection on you personally.
Absolutely disgusted with the service my parents received after being loyal clients for over 10 years. They rang on Saturday morning while their dog was in severe pain and rapidly deteriorating, only to be spoken to bluntly and without a shred of compassion. They were told, “we don’t offer home euthanasia,” and that was it — no empathy, no guidance, no recommendations.
For a family already heartbroken, this lack of care was devastating. This clinic has gone so far downhill since the new management took over. After a decade of loyalty, this is the treatment they got. Truly unacceptable.

Thank you for your response, but I need to be very clear: it is not slander if it is true. My mother described the call exactly as it happened, and your message reads as though you are insinuating that she was lying or “misunderstanding,” which is unacceptable. I’ll also add my mother had the call on loudspeaker which was heard by my father and a family friend.
Your clinic has known Bailey for years. You know he was terrified of people—especially men—which is precisely why my parents requested a home euthanasia in the first place. In what world would bringing him into a clinic, frightened and in agony, be considered an appropriate or compassionate option for his final moments?
Contrary to what you’ve stated, no other clinics were recommended, no alternative services were offered, no after-hours option was mentioned, and certainly no guidance or empathy was shown. That is the issue. A compassionate nurse would have recognised the situation, Bailey’s history, and my parents’ distress, and at the very least offered suggestions such as home euthanasia services, mobile vets, or after-hours support.
My mother had no reason to lie about the lack of empathy she received—she was devastated and desperate for help. Your response here shows more concern for defending a review than acknowledging a failing in care.
Thankfully, my parents did find a kind, compassionate professional who came to their home and allowed Bailey to pass peacefully—something your clinic could and should have helped guide them toward.
After over a decade of loyalty, the way my parents were spoken to and dismissed was deeply disappointing. You may defend your staff, but the reality is that the support they needed simply wasn’t provided.

I hope Bailey is comfortable and no longer in pain (and I believe that has probably involved euthanasia) but your review suggests a number of communication and comprehension issues occurred which is understandable given your mother was distressed and upset. As a practice, we will always endeavour to squeeze in euthanasia’s when they are needed so that animals and families do not suffer unnecessarily. However, the nurse who took the call when we opened on Saturday morning was informed only that Bailey had deteriorated, she was not informed he was in severe pain and had deteriorated rapidly. A home euthanasia was requested.
The nurse did not say “we don’t offer home euthanasia” but asked if Bailey could be brought into the practice as we had back-to-back consults booked – this is a normal Saturday morning for most vet practices (and we only had one vet on). A negative response was given to this request and the nurse was informed that only a female vet could undertake the task. Unfortunately, on Saturday we had a male vet present and this was therefore an additional reason we could not help your family. The nurse who took the call suggested ringing around to other vet practices to try and find a female vet and did not offer our services after -hours i.e. after consults had finished, as her impression was that your family wanted it done immediately and we didn’t have a female vet, which your mother was adamant about.
The nurse who took the call is one of the most compassionate, empathic and caring people I know, she provided guidance and a recommendation and I find it truly hard to believe she had no empathy. You may be interested to know that she has been at the practice for well over 15 years and before my management which you have slandered.

I was and still am so pleased I took my Cavoodle Milly to Caroline at Green Point Vet. So careful not to unduly hurt Milly but tried a plan A first to see if things resolved. Sadly they didn’t so she needed a GA. Got her in straight away and they were able to do Milly earlier than stated. Also gave good follow up advice and called today to see how she was going.
Unlike another large emergency hospital I felt they really cared about my pup.
Also a lot less expensive than my previous experience. I’ve also got to say the staff are very friendly and go out of their way for you.
I was also able to utilise GAP only payment via my Pet Insurance which is very convenient.
Thoroughly recommend this practice.

Thank you for your lovely review.
I have been taking my dogs to Green Point for the last few years. All the vets, nurses and staff have been lovely and welcoming, and understanding of my anxious pups.

Thank Lizzie for your lovely review. We are all anxious at times and just want to try and make the visits as easy as possible for our patients and their owners.
Absolutely terrible service. As a multi business owner, I'm actually horrified to write this, but feel it's necessary with the way this 'professional' handled herself. Booked to have 5 kittens chipped and vaccinated a week ago, but called back today to enquire about desexing times/fees for them to ensure they're completed by new owners (seeing if I can work out the best way to ensure this happens). Sarah (apparent owner of vet hospital) took the call, and was incredibly rude, huffing and puffing and rebutting all questions I asked, instead of just answering the questions of someone trying to do the right thing by all involved. When I said she was being incredibly rude, she then stated she was cancelling my appointment for the kittens. Did me a favour I guess, as there's a hundred other local vets out there with a far better approach. If she treats people like that over the phone, I'd hate to see what goes on with the animals behind closed doors. Hoping this helps others avoid careless vets.
I left a review 1 month ago, after a good visit, and I was prepared to leave it up. Google wouldn't let me do that.
Today was a different story.
We left our dog for administration of a medication and a couple of blood draws, to gauge his response.
The vet somehow gave the wrong dose of the medication, meaning the blood tests had to be cancelled.
The receptionist who rang did apologise and say "it was totally our fault".
When the vet brought the dog out she was cheery and smiling like everything was fine. Not a word of apology or explanation about HOW he could have received the wrong dose of an injectable medication.
She became defensive but my partner reminded her that he had already caught 2 mistakes regarding the dog's management, that she had made, since taking over the practice.
The vet's response was to call him a "revolting person".
These earlier problems were fixed quickly but honestly should not be happening with serious medications being administered by professionals.
Sarah and her team are amazing. They looked after my Diesel until he could no longer be with me. Diesel always enjoyed going there and never showed any anxiety.. one of the few practices that this has happened for, telling me how caring they are. Sarah and Leah also made a point of coming to my house during their very busy day to help say goodbye to Diesel and I am very grateful that it could be done at home. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough!

Thankyou Sue for your beautiful review. I miss both you and Mr Diesel - he was a super special furry friend. I am sorry, it has taken me so long to respond to this beautiful review - I stopped reading them a while ago. I hope you are doing well. xx
I had to rush the little dog I am minding down to Green Point Vets as he had ingested a few Ferraro Rocher chocolates. My fault. I know he is a food thief.
The care and support the little dog and I had there were outstanding: from the original phone call to when I finally took him home.
Instructions for medication were clear and detailed.
I had time to sit and observe and every person who came in with their dog was treated warmly and efficiently.
This morning I got a follow up call from Leigh, checking to make sure the little dog was OK.
Thank you to Sarah, Leigh and Ruby.
Deirdree Wallwork.
Have always trusted my dog would be well cared for but a recent visit changed my mind.i find the girls at the front desk very officious. My dog had a small procedure and I was worried about him the next day. I rang and spoke to a receptionist who proceeded to give me advice on the wrong dog. Subsequently made an appointment was given medications and Dr Olivia was lovely. Next day was still concerned as the weekend was coming rang to ask for a phone consult sometime through the day to talk about meds. The person I spoke to said she could help what was the matter and when I said I wanted to talk to Olivia she said she was booked out. Eventually she went to ask and then came back and said how can I help and seemed to me to be pretending she was the vet. When I challenged her she said I had to come to the surgery for a consult. When asked why she could fit me in but not have a phone call I was told I had to bring him in. I am 80 and was not well on that day I got frustrated and told her she was not listening to me at that point she accused me of being rude and hung up. There are it seems different sorts of being rude. I found the whole experience distasteful.
