I deeply regret investing R260,000 in this solar system. Despite a thorough on-site consultation where I clearly explained the requirements and showed my geysers (5kW and 3kW), the system installed cannot meet the promised expectations. It drains batteries rapidly, forces grid reliance far more than agreed, and has turned into a daily stress point rather than a solution. My family now has to ration hot water, monitor usage constantly, and I face an extra ±R30,000 expense for a solar geyser — something not disclosed upfront. When raising concerns, the company denied accountability, claimed no record of discussions, and stopped responding. This experience has been financially and emotionally exhausting. I strongly advise others to avoid this company.

After investigating the options available to set up a reliable alternative energy supply at our house due to the ongoing electricity crisis, we came up with the following as key criteria for investing in an energy solution.
o A solution to provide a reliable energy supply
o A cost-effective solution with quality and proven technology
o Environmentally friendly solution
o Energy cost reduction
We received proposals from a few service providers. Finally, we confirmed the project for design, supply, installation, commissioning, and handover of the Solar Energy Solution with GreenHouse.
Firstly, the level of professionalism was outstanding. All meetings were held to understand our needs including technical requirements, preparation of quotation/s and detailed discussions of the offering, technical clarification to final negotiation on price, delivery and payment terms were done with the utmost care and attention to detail.
Our solar equipment was delivered to site on the agreed date and the installation team began their work. The installation took almost a week and commissioning another two days.
The staff worked in a coordinated fashion and kept the site neat and clean at all times. GreenHouse's workmanship was of high quality and exceptional standard. The installation staff were very knowledgeable, and management regularly visited the site to monitor progress and kept us updated.
The Planner was in continuous contact with daily updates on progress of the project. The project handover took place with all documents provided including CoC certification and a live demo of the system in operation.
It was a pleasure to work with GreenHouse and their staff and we recommend them to anyone who wishes to install a Solar System using an experienced service provider that know their business. A courteous Team who are professional in executing their work!
At home, we are now relieved from the challenges of load shedding.

Greenhouse has installed inverters for me since 2008 .. for clients and for myself . i have had 2 hybrid solar inverters installed in Jhb and Ct and before that an outback inverter when no solar was available .. Overall very happy. Takes a while to get an appointment but the guys do a very professional job!
Just one challenge that they haven't resolved where the bluetooth signal from the system is interfering with my garage remote signal but it's a minor issue and I'm hoping they come through soon to resolve it.
