Brian is amazing! I had a vision of the dining table I wanted, but couldn’t find it. My father had a pile of Black Walnut sitting in his workshop for 30 years that he said I could use. I found Brian online and called him. He was excited about the project. I sent him the design I had drawn. He totally got my vision. The result is beyond my expectations. A work of art! See photos. I can’t recommend him enough. He was amazing to work with and even drove the table to N.C and installed it! White glove service! I truly have an heirloom piece!
Our table is beautifully made and stunning! We feel so fortunate to have found Brian, who took time and care in guiding us through the planning and creation process of making the table, which included sending samples of stains, pictures and personal delivery, with his family along to help. We love our table and use it for all of our meals!
We gave Brian a 100 year old barn door made out of thin pine from my family farm and he turned it into a beautiful set of coffee and end tables. Brian was very flexible, collaborative, and easy to work with. He worked hard to design and create furniture that would fit our vision while offering his own creative ideas and recommendations. The furniture is both attractive and carries special meaning to us because of the source and memories associated with the materials. We are grateful Brian was able to preserve those memories. He completed the project in a timely manner and delivered it to our house more than two hours away. Working with Brian was a great experience. I'd do it again if I had another old barn door.

As a photographer I have a very keen eye for detail. Brian built a reclaimed oak table that was better than what we asked for. A small business with great pride in quality wood work at a very fair price.

Brian made a beautiful 8ft shelf out of reclaimed oak for us. He finished it with a matte wax finish which shows off its natural color. It is by far the most beautiful wood in my house; a piece of art. I met Brian and saw several of his gorgeously crafted tables at the Crozet Arts and Crafts Festival. For my project I was able to choose from reclaimed oak, chestnut and walnut. He made my shelf within two weeks and delivered it as well. It was a joy to work with Brian and his wife, Cecy, and I highly recommend their work.

Brian made and delivered the most beautiful table for our dining room. The craftsmanship is outstanding. Brian and Cecy were delightful to work with - so kind and helpful in working with us to understand what we wanted and than create a table that was more than we could have hoped for. Brian is a highly skilled craftsman and his love for his trade is evident in the final product. You cannot go wrong ordering custom made wood furniture from him. My wife and I recently purchased a house in Fairfield , Va . We bought this house with the express purpose of rehabing it dolling it up and selling it . On this property was the original schoolhouse for the area , and probally built somtime in the late 1800's . We had no use for the structure and called Brian from Great Tables to see if he was interested in taking the building down and recycling the old wood . He did and did a maticilous job of careing for the wood and sorting and storing the material for future use . We can't wait to see the high quality of furniture that he creates . In return Brian maid us a fabulous Mantel for our fireplace . A craftsman indeed and a fine family man .
