Unprofessional, Ineffective, and Not Worth the Money As the VP of Operations & Accounting, I was the main point of contact handling our case and working directly with Grant Phillips Law. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. From the start, I had concerns about their lack of urgency, slow response times, and failure to provide accurate information. Dealing with predatory lenders is extremely time-sensitive, yet I repeatedly found myself waiting for updates, following up multiple times, and receiving vague or incorrect answers. On multiple occasions, I was given completely wrong information about which lenders had paused payments and which were still drawing funds—a serious oversight that made me question the quality of their work and attention to detail. When I raised concerns, Grant himself became defensive and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging delays or mistakes, he turned the blame on us, which was both frustrating and unprofessional. Rather than taking responsibility and addressing the situation, he spent more time defending his firm’s performance than actually fixing the problems. Another major concern was that we were never informed our calls were being recorded. Only after we expressed dissatisfaction did Grant suddenly disclose this, as if it was meant to intimidate us. Regardless of the legality, the fact that they only revealed this when it suited them was extremely unsettling. When we made it clear that we were unhappy with their performance and wanted to part ways, Grant escalated matters with personal attacks and legal threats. Instead of working toward a professional resolution, they retaliated—behavior that is completely unacceptable for any reputable law firm. Instead of defending us, we felt attacked. I also can’t ignore the fact that this firm has an unusually high number of five-star reviews, which initially gave us confidence. However, after my experience, I now seriously question their authenticity. How does a firm with poor communication, repeated mistakes, and unprofessional behavior have nothing but glowing feedback? It simply does not reflect what I personally experienced. There must be a reason—do they intimidate clients into staying silent? I don’t know. But I can’t be the only one who has had an experience like this. If you are a business owner, manager, or officer looking for real legal help, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. There are many law firms out there, and in all my years of working with attorneys, I have never been treated this way. We trusted them to help us, but instead, they added to our problems and became vindictive when confronted with issues. I would never recommend them—on the contrary, I strongly recommend steering clear of this firm at all costs.

I spoke with an attorney with this firm today. I was feeling very confused and frustrated over an MCA loan. I was not knowledgeable about a situation and I spoke with the attorney. First of all she was very gracious kind and understanding. She gave me excellent information. She told me exactly what to do next and how to protect myself. 🚨⚠️ WARNING: Grant Phillips Law Overpromises, Underdelivers & Then Sues Clients ⚠️🚨 We hired Grant Phillips Law expecting strong legal representation in dealing with predatory lenders. Instead, we faced delays, miscommunication, a lack of meaningful results, and ultimately, threats of legal action. If you are considering working with this firm, I urge you to read this review first, as their mismanagement worsened our financial situation. Failure to Deliver on Promised Negotiation Leverage: Grant assured us that his firm had strong lender relationships and would aggressively negotiate settlements. Yet, many lenders ignored them and continued contacting us directly, revealing that they lacked the influence they claimed. As far as negotiation strategy goes, they are simply incompetent and should not be operating a business where aggressive negotiation is critical to success. We would have been better off negotiating on our own. Worse, multiple lenders told us that Grant Phillips Law is known in the industry as a scam. Serious Errors & Misinformation: We were repeatedly given incorrect information. Grant personally told us that certain lenders had stopped withdrawals when they hadn’t, and that others had reduced payments when they were still taking full draws. It is beyond frustrating to be on a call with a firm that is supposed to have the situation "handled" only to realize they cannot even get simple facts straight. Poor Communication & Lack of Responsiveness: We frequently had to chase the firm for updates, sometimes waiting days for responses during urgent financial matters. When we received responses from Grant directly, he was often defensive, made excuses, and seemed to spend more time justifying his firm’s performance than actually solving problems. We did not have this issue with other members of the team—only him—and I feel it is important to highlight this fact here out of respect to the others. An Overinflated Sales Pitch vs. Reality: The difference between Grant’s initial pitch and actual execution was staggering. He aggressively sold us on his firm’s capabilities, but when it came time to deliver, his focus was on defending himself and his firm, and placing blame on us, rather than addressing our concerns and delivering meaningful results. Secretly Recording Calls Without Consent (Possibly Illegal, Certainly Unethical): We were never informed that our calls were being recorded until we raised concerns about the firm’s services, at which point this fact was revealed as a threat against us. Florida is a two-party consent state and every call we had with the firm was from Florida. If they recorded us without our permission, this could be a clear legal violation. Regardless, the fact that they only disclosed this as a threat is deeply unethical. Retaliatory Legal Threats: After we raised concerns, Grant responded with personal attacks, false accusations, and threatened to sue us. Minutes later he sent us a lawsuit demanding fees that we were never even invoiced for. This was not about a legal dispute—it was retaliation. His actions made it clear that he and his firm prioritize extracting money from clients over integrity, accountability, and delivery. Suspicious Five-Star Reviews: Before hiring, we noticed the firm had many five-star reviews, which seemed reassuring. However, after our experience, we now seriously question their authenticity. How can a firm with such poor communication, misinformation, and unprofessional behavior have so many glowing reviews? It simply does not add up. Final Takeaway: Grant Phillips Law talks a big game but fails to deliver. Rather than taking responsibility, they deflect, shift blame, and—if challenged—resort to legal threats against their own clients. If you are a business owner in a financially challenging situation, do not waste your time or money here. This is the last thing you need right now. There are real professionals who will fight for you—this firm is not one of them.
