I only wish I had read all these reviews before I got on board with GoDaddy. We have a website through them as well as in person sales. Months ago they had an update that caused the inventory not to sync. Since then we have had numerous issues with sales happening online for products that were sold in store. We have stopped promoting the website since October of 2024 due to this. The site is still up and gets random sales here and there. I asked for a refund of the in person system as it's not doing what it's designed to do. Months went by and the finally gave me a credit for future purchases. The reasoning was because it's out of warranty. Except when this problem started, it was only a few months old. I'm pretty sure no "real" person actually reads the emails. All I get back is a generic apology saying thank you for your patience. Well I'm out of patience and the next conversation will be with my lawyer. Also, shame on the BBB! How can this company have an A rating when the average rating is 1. It can't get any worse! Do better.
Rated 1 out of 5 stars 2 hours ago Scam site Scam site And very bad customer service Site seller and I have the right to the money and every time I send them to send my money They tell me that my ****** account is not activated The last message I received from them was yesterday Today after I contacted ****** They confirmed that my account is active I contacted customer service to tell me that my money had been transferred to unclaimed property This is a scam... and I am not satisfied with this bad experience I will not leave my money and I will tell everyone interested in selling domains about this bad experience so that they can leave working with you
GoDaddy charged me $**** to create a website for my published book. The subscription button for readers to sign up for my free eBook didn't function. When I lodged my complaint with GoDaddy, I had to spend about 20 hours on the phone being passed from person to person. GoDaddy ignored a scheduled appointment we had in which they were supposed to call me but did not. Their defense was that "I had already published my web site," which I had to do to ensure that the subscription button was working. After spending 2 hours on the phone with a GoDaddy technician, I was told I would be fully refunded within 3-5 business days. On the 4th business day, GoDaddy had a "specialist" call me to let me know that even though my web site did not function properly, they were not willing to refund me. In the meantime, I received an email from GoDaddy stating that "a functional subscription button was beyond their scope." I had to be refunded from my credit card company. Additionally, the Better Business Bureau was made aware of this entire situation and chose to still accredit them with the notorious BBB stamp, which can only mean that the BBB is for sale. Just because a business is accredited by the Better Business Bureau, it doesn't mean that you can trust that company to do right by you. It simply means that someone within that company paid off someone at the Better Business Bureau, who also told me that this problem was "beyond their scope." What convenient terminology to use with customers who trust in these businesses to do right by a customer, only to fail them miserably and label it as "outside of their scope." I'd think that when you have a division within your company called a "Website creation team," that you'd be able to fully create a functional web site that is capable of capturing email addresses in exchange for a free download. I no long trust GoDaddy or the Better Business Bureau. I am moving my existing domains to Namecheap. BUYER BEWARE!!
The review should allow zero stars. I transferred my domain from another host. It was a big mistake. everyday for 8 consecutive days GoDaddy told me it would be another 24 hours...today 2/15/25 they told me ***** more hours before issues with My site would get fixed. really bad customer service, really bad tech support. nobody there cares.

Godaddy charged me for an 2nd domain I was not aware of. Apparently I p***aid for 5 years, so they say. The domain I knowingly paid for is needed in order for me to use the ********* email. I explained to the cs *** the second domain makes zero sense and why would I even purchase that. He said someone logged into my account and bought it. I asked him to escalate it and he said they wont do anything about it since it was p***aid for over 2 years ago. Again, no reason I would have purchased the 2nd domain. The cs *** had a bad attitude and proceeded to mock me. As a business owner myself I would have fired him on the spot. This company is scamming like nobody's business! The greed of that sale has clearly made GoDaddy forget why they're in business. It's us the people who keep them in going. Even better, the price just keeps going up! I'm canceling all services! I hope others do the same. Stay far away from this company. There are other complained to choose from that will appreciate your business and give you a fair price. Purely disappointed in these large corporations and what they're allowed to get away with. And how they have an A rating on the BBB is beyond me. I'm sure they just toss the BBB some money to keep that rating up! Every corporation seems to be a sellout! It's a shame.
If i could give it negative star or zero. I will. Absolutely ridiculous how theyre customer service is blatantly acting so ignorant when i asked for a status update. I have been given a reference number for a refund and they told me that it will take no longer than a week to get it processed. its been over 2 weeks now and i have yet to see it. Theyre customer service is no use hiding behind - code validation which they never sent to my email or my phone which is by the way the same phone number they were texting me on. I had ask them to call me and they wouldnt. I have several products with them but will not be renewing. I will be reporting fraud to my bank.
We paid for a 5 year auto renewing phone 800 number. 4 years in they accidentally sell my number to someone else. Ive been wondering why my incoming calls have slowed down. We call and they essentially say how bad they feel for us but nothing they can do now but happily sell me a new number. When asked if they are going to compensate for me having to change my marketing materials and the vinyl on my van it was a quick No! I hate that companies like this have no integrity. They wont stand behind their work and fix mistakes because rhetoric customer means nothing.
Tried To renew for a 5 year plan they wouldn't do it. Tried to leave, but made it very difficult had us hostage for at least one day. Endless chats and bots! even on the phone *** couldn't help to renew. Automated phone and chat system treats the customer like a bot. They can't take any form of payments if not logged in. Changed payment system three months ago but Zero communication. Our domain expired No communication from them. They scare you into leaving in chat! Total chats exceeded 175 give or take. Still would not provide an exit code for leaving the platform. Next is the ************************. Thank you very much *** *****!

I have the ********* 365 plan through GoDaddy and will cancel as soon as possible. The GoDaddy ********* login is incompatible with shared files meaning , if someone shares a folder or file with you, you cannot access it while logged into your account, it does not get added to "Shared with me" files, and you cannot add a shortcut to your OneDrive. I opened a ticket with GoDaddy on December 23rd and heard on February 4th that there was "no issue and I needed to troubleshoot with the file owner". I work as technical support myself, so I understand how ******** works and how to share files. GoDaddy cannot support its own product integration due to their Login and has blamed that issue on me, the customer, paying for a service they can't fully provide. I'm done.
Charged me a higher price for my domain renewal. I tried to see why the fee stated ***** but the total came to *****. I clicked on fees and taxes and only a .16 cent fee was listed. It was not until AFTER i made the purchase that the receipt said it was for the protection plan, why is that not shown BEFORE making the purchase?
If I could, I would give GoDaddy zero stars. After ten years I received a renewal notice by email on Xmas Eve (at a rate that was much more than I paid when I signed up). I didnt need that domain name and called to cancel in early January. After I cancelled I was told that I could not get a refund because I did not cancel by December 27 (three days after the Xmas Eve renewal notice). At that point I said that if I cant get a refund then undo the cancellation. I was told that the cancellation cannot be undoneso I was charged $219.99 for NOTHING the ten years of service that I WAS NOT receiving. I was not told that I would not get a refund before I cancelled. After saying how ridiculous that was, I was told I could submit a form requesting a waiver and that I would get a response with 5-10 business days. I submitted the form January 7 and as of January 29 I still havent heard anything. This seems like a very disreputable way to do business. BUYER BEWARE!
We pay for 3 domains w Gdaddy. Got a renewal notice for a product that we never ordered and don't use. Never was even aware the product was an option - and I confused it with the domain renewal. Email said that I needed to pay almost $200 to renew for 9 years. 9 years! After wasting 30 minutes waiting to talk to a representative - they finally told me the renewal email was a mistake and I should just ignore it as the product was free and included. I've lost my trust with this company. Bet they would have charged me the $200 and never said anything. Not cool.

The customer service is ***** PAY MORE TO HIRE REAL PROFESSIONALS YOUR CHAT SUPPORT AGENTS ARE A JOKE AND CAN'T COUNT TO 2 AS A LONG TIME CUSTOMER I AM PO WITH THE QUALITY OF KNOWLEDGE AND PROFESSIONALISM WITH YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS AS MUCH AS PEOPLE PAY TO HOST THEIR BUSINESS WEBSITES YOUR COMPANY SHOULD BE ABLE TO PAY FOR REAL TECH PROFESSIONALS NOT THE CLOWNS IN THE CHAT SUPPORT CIRCUS.
Terrible service that is now just all about selling the next 'plan.' Fristrating and irritating when a product you want to use becomes a tool for the provider to sell themselves to you! You have to navigate around the sales pitches. We are not the data, godaddy, We used to by your customer. Wake up and be nice again.
January 5, 2025 - Letter to GoDaddy Management Team, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the services and customer support I have received from your company, as detailed below. This letter serves as a formal complaint and outlines the specific issues I have encountered. Misrepresentation of Services When purchasing the Marketing Basic service on December 27, 2024, I was assured by your representative, ******, that your team would make the requested changes to my website and show me how to maintain and update them in the future. After purchasing the service, I was informed that your team does not provide training for customers, directly contradicting the information I was given. Inadequate Customer Support Following updates to my site by your design team, three of the five pages were left with missing images, and the missing images had been deleted from the media library. When I reached out for assistance, I faced language barriers and inconsistent information. Representatives were unable to resolve the issues effectively or direct me to someone who could. Lack of Accountability Despite assurances from ****, the Website Design Team Manager, that a refund would be processed for the failed Marketing Basic service, I experienced significant delays, call transfers, and a lack of follow-up. The situation was further exacerbated by your team’s refusal to process a refund due to an arbitrary 48-hour window policy, even though the problems were clearly caused by your team’s shortcomings and I reported the problems within 24 hours of the purchase of the service. Unprofessional Communication I was repeatedly transferred between representatives, subjected to scripted responses, and left without clear solutions. This experience was frustrating and eroded my confidence in your company. ** *

This Company has used my credit cards to continue to charge me for services that I did not request. They have attacked all my Capitol One cards, Credit One cards and now my ******* account. They continue to charge me, and when we call to complain, they said they will refund the charges and never do. This has to stop.
They are the worst customer service and tech support. I wasted 1 1/2 hours of my time, they did not know what my domain was after asking multiple times, did not know the products I subscribed and paid for, then, refused to perform the services I requested. The tech support told me I needed to understand from his perspective why he refused to provide me with a service. I was told that GoDaddy provided the service and I needed to use that service not a 3rd party service. Then after stating I would file a complaint, the tech *** said he would provide the service and after 30 minutes, sent me a link to do it myself. Then after calling to speak with a supervisor, I was placed on hold for another hour and then they disconnected the call. I have another service with them that doesn't work and was with tech support multiple times and it never works.I will not renew any domains or website hosting or email with GoDaddy. I will be looking for a new domain provider and website host. Do Not Use GoDaddy.
