I have been going to Gloucester Cottage for over 25 years for all my beauty needs especially massages they are amazing! The team are so friendly, professional and listen to what you would like. I can’t fault their service and will be continuing to use them for years to come 😊

We went for a couples massage. My partner had a great massage, no complaints at all. My masseuse didn't ask me where my pain was, didn't care to ask what i wanted focused on, and eventually caused a panic attack. She focused too long on places that made no sense, she didn't put pressure on the muscles, but instead on the pressure points that hurt. Eventually, i asked her to stop rubbing my legs and she focused on my feet for so long i started praying that she would move on. The table was very unpleasant. I ended up having nothing useful done to my neck or lower back, so my pain is still present. Again, she never asked. I ended up praying the time would end as i didn't want to ruin it for my partner. Thankfully, she had a good time. She had an experienced masseuse who knew what she was doing. So there's at least that. I just wish i didn't feel like i wasted both my time and money.

Worst ever!! PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU GO IN!! I don't even know if rude is the right words. Arrogant and Racist!! Before i begin - i have always liked this place, i use to spend $ here before the EQ all the time so no this is not a fake review. The male manager made snarky racist comments to us (which we have on video) which has been shared on FB + IG I'm not sure even where to begin, my mum and i booked in for a Total pamper package each,both packages being $160 pp, i had already brought Mums as a birthday gift last year and was going to purchase mine this morning, when we arrived the young girl welcomed us into the office, i asked her if she wanted me to purchase my voucher now and she said no its fine do it afterwards. Fast forward to the massage. The female owner was so rough with me from the beginning to the end, it started off with a body scrub which then led to a massage - she had still left granules on my body while she was massaging me which was uncomfortable, i stopped her and explained she was too rough where then she used a warm towel to wipe the remaining off, the massage was ridiculous my 10 year old could've done better i still had water from the towel and granules on my body along with the massage oil. It felt horrible. I kept my mouth shut cos i was waiting for it to improve but then she stopped and went onto the facial then i just had to stop her midway through, the way she was wiping my face and body down was ridiculously rough. I told her i wasn't keen on the rest of the massage which was another 40 minutes long, i told mum she could still enjoy hers, the owner threw a face cloth at me and told me to wipe the rest of the product off, told me to get dressed - left the door wide open while i only had knickers on, she got pissed off and ran downstairs to her husband to make sure we had paid, she came bowlin back in told mum to get up and made out like our intentions were not to pay. We argued with the male manager for 5 minutes recorded most of the conversation, where he made us feel like we were poor maoris. His words were 'this is so typical of yous to do something like this' and made snarky comments on our mentality. I was calm and collective the whole time, i didnt swear once (which for me is amazing lol) I'm absolutely upset about this situation. They made us feel like we were poor maoris going in for a free massage and complaining about it for absolutely no reason. I was giving feedback on how I WAS FEELING, where as their comments were that i was the only person to complain in 30 years. These people need to be held accountable for their actions. This is not ok. Please share.

Great place for a pamper and not over the top with price

Thank you Maree for going above and beyond when you were sick today! This is the 2nd voucher I have purchased for friends. The customer service and feedback from my friend made me come back again for a 2nd time. After not being able to get through by phone I emailed and was informed they weren’t open due to illness, I left everything to the last minute and needed the voucher that day. Maree responded to my emails and organised a voucher that was sent to my email address all within a couple of hours, even though she was sick! 10/10 customer service for a second time around and I appreciate it so much! Can’t wait to give this to my friend tomorrow morning!

I had such a wonderful and relaxing pregnancy massage today. Super relaxing and to top it off lovely refreshments and a wee gift at the end. Will definitely be booking a few more in this pregnancy! ❤️

If I was able to give no stars I would. It takes a lot for me to write a review such as this, but it is impossible to speak to a rational person at this spa. AMY, who answers the phone is a rude and incompetent young receptionist who is taking no responsibility for a mistake, blaming me, and as a result I have a $150 wasted gift voucher. When booked in to use this, the person taking mg details may have made an error. These things happen. But the day before my treatment AMY text me to confirm my booking and then told me I cannot use this voucher as it had already been used! It hadn't and it hasn't. You would think that a Day Spa that claims to deliver exceptional Service would want to clear this up and have a happy returning customer. Not so. Amy has refused to acknowledge that a mistake may have been made. She is rude, talks over me and insists I cannot come in with this voucher. I asked to have someone else call me to clear this up, but this has not happened and now Amy has sent a message to say they regard me as a " NO SHOW " If you are the owner or manager, I would ask that you call me. The way this has been handled is a disgrace to a Kiwi Business. I see from other reviews that there have been other admin problems like this. Perhaps the front face of this business does not reflect the practitioners! It's a shame. What should have been a wonderful gift experience, is a wasted $150. Is this how you do business??

Marie and Amy specifically tailor my delux treatments at Gloucester Cottage. The team at Gloucester Cottage are professional therapists. The cottage is spotless and very clean. Highly recommend a visit.

Had my first full body massage today and had the most amazing, relaxing, beautiful experience. Staff were extremely welcoming and made me feel so comfortable. Could not recommend this place enough and 100% will be returning for other services.

Absolutely terrible, not deserving of one star. I drove from Rangiora for my booked in and confirmed facial only to be told you had canceled it. The owner argued with me, telling me I had called and canceled because I had the flu. I would not have driven all that way if I had canceled! This is not the first time this sort of thing has happened to me here. It's probably the third! Other times I've arrived and had been double booked or been on my way and received a cancelation.

Definitely recommend the body scrub and massage package loved it. 2nd time and be back again
