Dated, but clean and comfortable. Ideal location for our weekend. Close to subway. Easy parking. Plenty of choice for restaurants.

The property management has not been entirely honest with the customers. After payment and booking confirmation, they requested an additional deposit of £300 for damages before assigning a room, which left the frustrated client feeling undervalued. They also refused to refund any payments, allocated a room, and allowed the client to suffer significant inconvenience. I strongly advise future clients to ask about hidden charges and other terms upfront to avoid similar issues.

This is a fake review. This guest has never stayed at the City Apartments and its completely false that we ask for a £300 security deposit. This has never been our practise and I hope Google can look into this

I I am baffled about how this place gets 4.6 stars. The location on the West End is great, yes, but we had room #1, the front room with one king sized bed and one single bed. Both beds’ mattresses were SO OLD that the whole top half of both mattresses were lower than your feet. I woke up half way through the night with a headache because all the blood rushed to my head. I switched directions and put my pillow at the feet. The pillows are disgusting old foam pillows, and one of t hem wasn’t even a pillow — it was some folded material stuffed into a pillow case. We grabbed extra blankets from the closet and they were still dirty from previous people’s stuffed into the closet. One had crusties on it, the other smelled like perfume. The bathroom sink was stopped up, hardly draining. We will not stay at City Apartments or any of the McQuade hotels again. We stayed at the Ambassador last year and the beds were old and in disrepair there as well. They REALLY need to invest in new beds and bedding. The only positive is the manager was gracious about refunding the nights that we didn’t stay, so we could get a room elsewhere. It’s a bummer that McQuade owns so many hotels on the West End because decent hotels are hard to come by in that area.

Geweldige locatie, mooie ruime kamer. (3 goede bedden). Op loopafstand van metro (8 min in centrum), supermarkt en pub. Vriendelijke incheck bij naastgelegen hotel. Kortom een echte aanrader voor een weekend Glasgow

Wonderful stay at this cute mini apartment Wonderful people at the front desk. I was originally in Hotel Albion but due to my long stay (6 nights) and fortunate availability of a mini apartment next door at City Apartments, they've upgraded me (I guess they own both places). It was a very spacious room with a large bed, small kitchen (but had everything I needed), a sitting area, and large windows with a nice view of tall trees across the street. Since it's located at the West End area (away form city centre), it was quiet but conveniently located near an underground subway (to get to city centre in about 10 minutes). Also had a lot of restaurants nearby, small grocery stores, etc.

A quiet and convenient location, really close to the subway into town centre and also next to the Kelvin river. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.

We stayed in one of the self catering studio apartments. The room was well maintained, large and clean and perfect for our needs with comfortable beds and furnishings and some basic kitchen equipment. Would have preferred a handheld to rain shower only and the TV remote was missing but apart from that it was great. The location was lovely--right by Kelvingrove Park, with lots of sites easily accessible and on street parking / park and ride facilities nearby--so relatively easy with car for a West End location.

Very nice stay, but too short! Room was very comfortable and clean. Also quite convenient. Would stay again on next trip.

Brilliant place to stay, great wee flat. Only issue was breakfast. It said on the welcome book you can ask to book breakfast up until 10pm. That is not the case, I was told you have to book it before 8am the day before, which is impossible since check in is at 1pm. That is my only issue other than that, good place to stay.

Lovely part of Glasgow by the River Kelvin. Very relaxed atmosphere and well connected by the subway.

GREAT LOCATION, HELPFUL STAFF, LARGE ROOM SIZE The room is the largest ever. The bed was super comfy. The receptionist were nice, friendly and helpful. The location was also ideal. We arrived very early in the morning and check in was for 1:30pm, at first we were told we couldn’t wait at the reception till then and there were no available rooms for an early check in, this was disappointing to us at the time. We were asked to come back by 11:30 when someone must have checked out and a room would be available. When we came back then , they had a room ready and let us check in by 11 which we truly appreciate. Overall I fault them

I loved this hotel so much, I wish that I could have stayed here longer. The staff were all very kind, they held my bags for me for several hours after I checked out since I was having difficulty checking into my next hotel. The room is just like being in an apartment because it had a kitchen and bathroom and eating area. It was so spacious I loved it. It's also behind a street for all of restaurants and stores so there's always stuff to do. I wanted to use the kitchen to cook food but unfortunately the bottoms of most of the pots and pans were scratched badly and they needed to be replaced because the sealing on the bottom of them is made from toxic chemicals that can cause cancer, so there was no way that I was going to use them. I'm sure that if I asked the staff for replacements, they would have switched them out for me but I was too exhausted to ask at the time. The pots and pans just need to be regularly checked and replaced if necessary. The only other issue was being unable to change the temperature of the heater of the room because it was fixed at a certain temperature. It got pretty cold since it was the end of spring, I just put on some warmer clothes and I was alright. Thank you guys again for the overall wonderful experience.
