We ordered bunch of different dishes, most of them was very tasty and with authentic indian taste. The only issue was that the chicken lollipop was a bit raw, would avoid it next time, but other than that everything was nice.

We visted a few weekends ago where we were seated downstairs. We wasn't going to review, but alot of my colleagues agreed with us.
The food is okay but this place seems to be packed out by family and friends who know the owners.
They seem to be socialising amongst themselves rather than run a business.
Shame as the service lacked due to this reason.
Generally seemed like we were out of place in a restaurant for family and friends only.
We prefer a more peaceful and relaxed evening rather than hearing loud conversations.

I have been there for a couple of times before- everything is just outstanding! To the food, to the service, to the atmosphere…I feel welcomed surrounded by the friendly staff and lively mutual atmosphere. Definitely coming again!

Amazing food ! I was totally taken back on how good it was! I would highly recommend GK - you will not be disappointed. Venue nice and clean too. It does get busy, so you may need to book. Bar area is small but they have additional rooms and weekly live entertainment and live sports. Pretty great place. Nice lager too - clean pipes :)

The place to be at weekends..
I've been to GK Lounge a few times since it has been refurbished. And I can say, it's a very hospitable place to be. Very polite and welcoming owners. The food is lovely.... Drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and make you feel at ease. Weekends are full of excellent entertainment.... Not a place to miss and be....

Very very poor management. If it is available minus review I’ll give that. Very very slow and poor service. Very lack of staff, even we have to wait for giving order. Hope they will change. I won’t come next time.

I attended with my family in a group of 7 people on Saturday evening. Having precisely attending back in March and highly recommending this restaurant to them with excitement.
However the evening of Saturday 11th May, It was very disappointing, the student visa staff had no clue about customer service, the food arrived in small portions even though there were 7 of us.
One plate of chips between a large group is rubbish, no common sense from robot staff.
The alcoholic drinks took forever to come even though there is a bar on the restaurant floor.
The fish pakora arrived stale which I knew for a fact was left in the kitchen for a long time. These were lovely back in March
When we had a query about the food we just got told that we had to wait.
Your staff also foolishly set off the fire alarm all because of the sizzling smoke from the kebabs.
The bill at the end did not match the poor service and average food. Please bring back the old staff/chefs as they were really good.
The music ambience was lazy with just a youtube playlist uploaded with no volume The manager on the night comes up to us at the end and asks us if everything is OK even though we kept pointing things out.
Please sort things to how they were if you want to keep the good numbers you have, your one a of few apne places I trust to eat in East London.
