"A long transition" * User Friendly * Little difficulty to wrap your head around how things work and why they work that way. * Customizable * Quick customer support * Easily visible information * Saw financial benefits within first year * Difficult to transition from 50+ years of another way * The French to English translations * Long transition process for our company Genius is helping us to see our productivity at an individual component level. We are a mainly engineer to order company and we can see the time spent on an individual component of a larger system to help increase our estimating accuracy.

"Perfect ERP software for manufacturers" Easy to learn and use, intuitive Excellent platform for training (Genius Academy) Nice customer support team Limited standard reports, also difficult to adapt after being exported in Excel or Word Includes accounting modules avoiding to use 2 different softwares and lossing time or making errors Manages custom BOM versions, keeping track of changes

"Genius System Offers Wide Array of Tools" The in-depth accounting report functions are greatly helpful in tracking financial performance. The system does not seem optimized to handle refund scenarios (there is no innate way to receive cash from Vendors or send cash to Customers). Genius ERP solves the problem of convoluted paper trails and improperly compartmentalized responsibilities.

Pros: It helps to streamline our production in one Enterprise Resource Planning solution. It comes with several mechanism that helps us to make our decision making better, that does invoicing for us, optimize our selling process and provide business efficiency helping us to achieve what we need. The integration of this tool with several important software makes it even more useful. Cons: Pricing of the tool can be better. Overall: Overall, it's a great Enterprise Resource Planning tool that helps us in multiple ways to achieve our daily, weekly and monthly targets with ease in each sector where it's deployed. We have been seeing a great help of this ERP tool. Genius-ERP is really Genius in all aspects.

Pros: It allows me to customize my product BOMs by using its feature of engineering lifecycle.I can now customize in Genius from pre-loaded parts from a CAD2BOM interface. Resulting in saving time and minimizing errors. Cons: Its lesser customization which can be done in the system, although, Genius Task Automation minimizes it but sadly, not shown in user interface. Overall: Genius ERP helps in keeping up with good housekeeping. It allowed improvements in tracking open sales orders and following up on outstanding invoices. Information gathered is easy to understand. I am now able to cut back how much unnecessary inventory was stored and inventory precision increased vividly.

"Genius ERP for manufacturing" Genius ERP helped us consolidate modules of information into a single user friendly platform. It integrates our time keeping on the production floor with Accounting, quotations, scheduling, Invoicing, production planning, CRM and Estimates to have a single portal to view all info. The out of the box solution is very good but we did require customized reports to be developed. If you are to manage customization internally, you will need to learn the use of Microsoft Power BI. Highly recommend the software and support Genius has dramatically decreased the time it takes for us to estimate, quote and produce projects. As well we have live views of project costs and a client history. We are more efficient in the production process and manage the data electronically from a single platform.

Pros: Full feature software, cover all the bases a business could need. The company offers good services and support. Cons: The software could be more responsive, less laggy and more intuitive. Overall: The software get the job done. Its feature pack and not much it cannot do. A full web interface would be welcome.

"Long time ERP Partners" - easy to use - dashboards (open order report) is a fantastic higher-level report that shows you so much information with the option to dig into the details. - we can create our own reports and forms They try to make it open and flexible, but some modules, like the quoting, do not work for our company. Our quoting process is detailed, and we are not able to fit it into the software. Some fields are titled in French, which makes it a bit of a challenge for the English speaking people creating the reports at our facility. As a production manager, I can use the dashboards (such as the open order report and production dashboard), to make decisions. Because of its appearance, it's easy to use and not intimidating, which allowed the rollout of the software to the entire team much easier to accept and adopt. Now everyone from the warehouse to accounting to the production lead hands, Engineering, sales and QA inspectors are using Genius. So all our info is finally centralized.

Pros: Genius has a great integration tool for both Inventor and SolidWorks, Genius ETM. Our product mix has been shifting from job shop towards engineered to order products and the (ETM) features allow us to seamlessly transition from the CAD design to the ERP system for manufacturing. With a few clicks, we can generate the previously designed BOM in the ERP, without manually listing materials and introducing human error. This is a huge speed enhancement and increase in accuracy over manual entry. Cons: The interface is very functional, but not the most intuitive yet. We have been working with Genius to identify enhancements, and we have already been able to implement some improvements together. After having a previous ERP system for over 20 years, we had to teach old dogs new tricks when learning a new look and feel. Overall: Genius ERP is a solid platform with fantastic features and capabilities. We have been able to adapt to it with minimal interruption to daily business. The most difficult part of the implementation was simply our ability to let go of the "old way" of doing processes in our previous ERP system, and accepting the "Genius way" of doing things. Most users should be able to make the switch in under 1 week once they learn the navigation and interface.

"Great Software and Functionality at a fraction of Big ERP Cost!" Having been in ERP space for 30+ years in Manufacturing Environments, I can attest that Genius ERP provides very robust functionality at a very competitive price. From BOM to Engineering Lifecycle to MRP and MPS, it really does it all. Their training is straightforward and their support is excellent! They also have scheduled "talk with an expert" sessions (~2x week) that enable you to get quick responses on issues of functionality. Being Cloud hosted means you don't have to invest in the infrastructure and sleep at night knowing your data is safe. Their security is as robust or simple as you'd like it to be. Lastly, if you're familiar with SQL databases, they have a very nice interface through their own Analytics Product and Power BI. Other nice features: Downloads of views of data to excel, Export/Import of major data sources; Robust custom fields; Report export to Excel, PDF, etc..; REST API to enable web based integrations. Being cloud hosted, we have to RDP into Azure (as opposed to a full-fledged html version) to get to a desktop (I believe this is on their roadmap). They do, however, have a Web Shop Floor interface that eliminates the need of the Remote Desktop for shop floor reporting. Lastly, because of the RDP, we have to rely on local default printers for printing (but there are many option for preview->pdf/excel). No OBC data access, but they do have a nice Power BI connector. Their General Ledger is servicable, but they tell you that from the outset. And I would never make a manufacturing ERP decision with the quality of the G/L being a major factor. Besides, you can get the data out of Genius via Analytics and/or PowerBI and cut/paste into Excel. File exchange (through Azure connectors) is accomplished by creating a share on Azure and local company and syncing the two. It's not immediate, but it is relatively timely. No local admin rights on the desktop, requiring a help desk ticket for any software install or upgrade. These are all relatively minor inconveniences, when you look at the core functionality of Genius. My client purchased two new operations and was looking to get out of a patchwork system that included Quickbooks and E2 Manufacturing. We were also looking for Business Intelligence and job cost accounting.

"Great Software, great service_Genius ERP" Genius allows us to fully customize our product BOMs by using the Engineering Lifecycle features. We can customize in Genius from preloaded parts or upload them from a CAD2BOM interface. Time and effort have been reduced and keying errors virtually eliminated. We also like the feature tied to the engineering lifecycle that allows us to load preliminary parts to purchasing which the design team knows will be long lead. Previously we would have to track long lead parts outside of the BOM and wait for the BOM to be fully loaded to show the parts bought for the job. We are using the integrated genius accounting package. It is not as user friendly as what we used in the past (QB), but it give us the opportunity to fully link our costs to the product/job, something not possible in QB. We have eliminated the need for many separate spreadsheets and various individual planning tools. Now at a glance, the production team can see what is coming down the pipe as well as what stage each job on the floor is at. Reduction in redundancy has helped free up time for other tasks.

Pros: Genius scans system for time and work allocation; used to charge customers for billable hours etc. And for employee pay is a great system, easy to use and thorough with the accurate information given. Cons: I am still learning the Genius short cuts, sometimes it is not very user friendly, from my point of view; in a sense of being a first time user, if there is no help around it is difficult to problem solve and find the solution and some functions are not logical. Overall: Overall Genius software is great for what I use it for on a day to day basis, all of the information I need can be found in one place and used for many different functions.

Pros: Genius is a very user friendly and easy for all sizes of companies. The web based software has made our processes in our company 100 times more implemented throughout the entire company. Cons: Looking back we might have chose the web based software so we could use it on our tablets on the production floor, but the we have no complaints of the software or their team. Overall: Overall, Genius is very helpful and user friendly to all sizes of companies. We are a small company and it was perfect for use and our project mangers were very hands on through the implantation and training of the software. They made sure we were set before we went live with the software and were even helpful after we went live and still are.

"Powerfull and complete ERP system! Godd support during integration" I like the userfriendly interface that support a powerfull planification and MRP system. We saw a big increase in material consumption control. The only down side is there are very few customisation that can be done in the system. There is a helpfull tool called GTA (Genius task automation) that palliate this but it does not show in user interface. I would highly recommend Genius for any manufacturing facility. their support during integration is way beyond what we expected. It helped to control inventory and optimize production planification
