One of the most useless and pathetic company in the country. They are just doing exploitation under name of providing services. They are just using public to work for GP practice nationwide at the lowest wages and will deduct money from your pay if you are not available on their virtual office which is just non sense rule. ACCORDING TO GPS IF YOUR BUILDING HAS GOT POWER CUT ALL OF SUDDEN AND YOU ARE OFFLINE THAN THEY WILL STILL DEDUCT THE PAY SAYING YOU WERE NOT AVAILABLE ON VIRTUAL OFFICE. If there is fault in the building electric panel or some major issues than it is not accepted as a reason for not on virtual office.
We engaged GPS to provide coding and workflow services. AT first this was of a high standard with regular audits and feedback. After the first month the standards slipped and a backlog started to grow. In spite of repeated attempts to request that this was addressed GPS did not provide a credible solution. This resulted in us terminating the contract. The staff are all very personable but I would be wary of using them for any of their advertised services.

Unprofessional and overly demanding
From the beginning, I felt pressured into signing up, including for services like a VPN I didn’t even want. Despite agreeing on a start date, I received calls demanding I start earlier, even though personal issues required me to stick to the agreed timing. Communication was poor, except when it came to pushing their demands, and after everything, I received a letter terminating my contract and an unexpected bill. After reading the contract and others' experiences, I deeply regret engaging with this company. It’s not only challenging to begin but an easy way to lose money.

I had the pleasure of speaking with a lovely, warm, and attentive lady named Farat. She listened very calmly, took her time to explain the eConsult system clearly, went out of her way to try and secure me an appointment, and gave extremely helpful, straightforward instructions on what to do next.
I genuinely thought I’d rung the wrong surgery because I’ve never encountered such a warm and friendly receptionist before. Farat is a real credit to your practice—well done, Farat!”
Unclear terms, high financial risk
Strong warning to anyone considering working with this company. Over 2.5 months, I earned only £540 despite working most of my scheduled hours. Payments were withheld due to strict policies and unclear conditions, and the deductions felt excessive and financially harmful. The payment structure was opaque and created substantial financial risk. After leaving, I found online reports from others with similar experiences, suggesting these issues might be common. I strongly recommend thoroughly reviewing all payment terms before starting and getting everything in writing.

Fantastic team and excellent support!
I have had an excellent experience working with this team as a telephony associate for over a year. Management has always been supportive and truly listens to staff. Recently, I had some IT issues, and Oscar and Richard provided outstanding assistance. I also appreciated the training and guidance from Aquilla when joining a new surgery—her support has been invaluable in ensuring smooth operations. I’ve enjoyed my time here and highly recommend this company for those seeking remote positions in telephone or coding roles with great support.
ve honestly had such a great experience working with General Practice Solutions.
I started out as a telephony associate, working remotely, and the support from day one was amazing. There’s always someone available if you need guidance, and communication is really strong.
What I appreciate most is how supportive and approachable management are. They genuinely care about doing things properly, patient safety, and supporting their team. Feedback is always fair and constructive, and you really feel listened to.
I’ve also been lucky enough to progress within the company, moving from a telephony associate into an Admin Support Officer role, which says a lot about how GPS invests in and develops their staff. Hard work and commitment are genuinely recognised.
If you’re looking for remote work with flexibility, great training, supportive management, and real opportunities to grow, I couldn’t recommend General Practice Solutions enough.

Disgraceful management
I started working for this company in April 2025 and worked for 6 months which I thought would be a great career approach but sadly it took sad turn which eventually motivated me to quit working with this company .. and I honestly feel this company should be given zero to minus rating as it is a disgraceful workplace to be in.. the management here is utter shambles where all they are concerned about is deductions from associates in one way or the other and filling their own pockets !!!!! I should have never opted to work with them as it was mentally draining experience… when you raise questions about any doubt related to your wage they would demand screenshots of the communication and also pass the book from virtual office to coding helpdesk to finance helpdesk .. and the list goes on … management highly unprofessional when it comes to solving your queries and beat around the bush … I remember one incident where I raised a query regarding my deductions from my wage and spoken to Molly the financial head she would listen to you and then start talking over you and make you feel like you are a servant .. which in my opinion is modern slavery in today’s world .. Rubina who use to my manager when asked her regarding any query she would say I would get back to you .. and you would genuinely await a response from her but she never returns with an answer it’s like banging your head in brick wall .. I feel sorry for people still working with them .. I would say please do not work with this company it’s a waste of time energy and efficiency .. they don’t respect the people who work for them and rob associates of their hard earned wage .. I say this from my personal experience as I wasn’t paid for 1 whole month and I know many more associates who had similar experience.. so in all I would give a big zero to GPS
Also if you write up a review on google they got the power to erase it off .. so hopefully this remains for people to make a decision when it comes to taking up any work for this company

I would not recommend GPS. Our practice’s experience was not a positive one. We discontinued their services shortly after starting due to concerns about quality, slow response times, and a lack of understanding of the impact on the practice when agreed services were not delivered.

Role: Freelance Clinical Coder
Duration: Approximately 1 month
Work Setting: Remote
I worked as a freelance clinical coder for nearly a month and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
Communication was poor, with many unanswered messages and no follow-up when promised. Training courses for each surgery had to be completed in our own unpaid time, which felt unfair.
Productivity targets increased from 22 to 33 letters per hour without any pay increase (£12.50/hour), forcing coders to rush and risking mistakes — a serious concern in clinical coding.
Strict time-keeping policies penalized minor infractions. For example, the company would claim you logged off early, even though your laptop time showed you worked your full scheduled hours. Logging off “one minute early” according to them results in a 15-minute pay deduction. I was also notified of a £65 deduction for an alleged 21-minute late login, despite evidence to the contrary and no clear way to dispute these penalties. Fines were also threatened for being late to meetings.
After numerous contacts on my part, they eventually agreed to waive the £65 fine, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of their mistake.
A colleague was dismissed publicly in the group chat, which felt unprofessional.
Additionally, freelancers were required to pay £290 for VPN installation, which seems overpriced and only lasts for one year, meaning another fee will likely be charged annually. I recommend requesting a receipt from the VPN provider to verify this cost.
I was doing this role for extra income and would be very cautious about recommending it as a full-time position.
Great service molly and other colleagues such as line managers helped me to get set up taking time out of their days.
