When refused by both my son’s psychiatrist and GP stating it was no longer a required NHS service, I was left calling around to find a private source to provide a capacity assessment for my autistic son.

Excellent service provided throughout, starting with my first, reassuring, phone conversation, with Victoria, when I was at a loss as to how best to proceed with obtaining a capacity assessment. Very prompt communication, all emails and phone calls dealt with quickly, and final report produced within 2 working days. All members of staffed displayed good knowledge, understanding, empathy and compassion. Jane, the assessor, made mum feel safe and heard, and mum couldn't have praised her higher.

I contacted Gain Capacity as I needed to have a mental capacity assessment conducted on my elderly mother. Having spoken to Victoria on the phone prior to her attendance at the meeting, I felt assured she would be able to conduct it with sensitivity and professionalism. Victoria spent time explaining what an LPA is, why it was required and answered any due concerns and made my mother feel extremely comfortable. Her manner and empathy was excellent and she delivered an accurate written assessment in a very timely manner.

Victoria done a home visit to carry out a capacity test for my mother, she made it very comforting and put her at ease and really got her to open up and answer all the relevant questions which we struggle with . Wouldnt hesitate to use again.

Superb service. Needed an experienced expert to provide a COP3 in respect of autistic individual- I did quite a lot of searching as I wanted someone able to undertake a home visit. Spoke to Victoria on the phone and it was clear she had great experience and understanding. The visit was promptly arranged and the necessary interview undertaken with great skill, care and insight on Victoria's part. Report was promptly received, also with a helpful explanation of the company's other relevant services. Reasonable price charged. I would not hesistate to highly recommend this company. Thank you!

Had a great and easy experience with Gain Capacity Experts. The appointment was arranged very quickly, Victoria was very understanding with my mum who has dementia. Ms Victoria Sample showed care and compassion while doing the capacity assessment with my mother who suffers from Dementia. She also gave some good clinical advise and mental support for mum's condition.
Usually these kind of assessments can cause distress, but Ms Sample's expert manner of questioning, allowed my mother to stay calm and anxiety free.
