The lodge is a hidden little gem of peace and nature. It’s a nice cross between a campsite and a lodge. The service was personalized and the owner was very responsive on WhatsApp before our stay and throughout. He arranged transport and food for us to facilitate the logistics of our hike at Mount Bisoke. The cabin (Ifundi) was basic and the rooms small, but it was just comfy enough and the common facilities were very inviting and we spent more of our time in the garden or in the dining area with a lovely bonfire. We would definitely go back!

The Space is simply peaceful,I love the nature touch in everything,If you are someone who loves being around nature,Fravan Eco-Resort is your go to space. The way Management caters for their Customers is a 5 ⭐ Love & Experience. I personally did camping and the space felt so peaceful and Calm not forgetting Secure.The tents are Comfortable and Clean. The Bonfire 🔥 was on top of its kind, Thanks to "Pacific" who stayed up late to make sure the Fire kept Ablaze. This a clearly a hotel for those on a very tight budget. The rooms are basically huts that are not well maintained. Stuffy and reeking with mould. Barely have any space to put any luggage. Beds are uncomfortable. Running water is a huge issue and we spent the night with no water in our bathroom. The food is less than average and tasteless. The only positive were the staff who were helpful and smiling. We were booked to stay for 2 nights but checked out after the first night itself. There are clearly other hotels around that are more comfortable. If you can afford to pay, steer clear of this resort.

Very friendly welcome by a young lady. Everyone else just stared at us!
I was with a local friend who just wanted to show me the gardens.
We enjoyed listening to and identifying some of the birds in the gardens, a secluded spot for a picnic or camping. The paths are well maintained as is the bar area. The accommodation looks very basic, in local style banana leaf, etc.
You can walk through the gardens in 5 or 10 minutes.
Some areas of bamboo with shade others are open with grass and flower beds.
Paths are made of stone. Might not be suitable for someone in a wheelchair.

Green space, feels more like cabins in a forest, birds chirping and healthy food freshly cooked for you. You won’t need your headsets because the birds will keep you entertained… I loved my stay at Fravan and Sandrine was so kind and hospitable! Definitely recommend for people who like calm, green and simple!
