Ann is a perfect host. Nothing is a bother. Her place is home from home. It's immaculate inside and outside and just facing Castlewellan Park which was a bonus for us runners/walkers. The hot tub was lovely to chill in.I would highly recommend Ann's place, you won't be disappointed. Thanks for everything
Beautiful property in a great location. Had a couple of days break for the new year with the family. The kids the location to the maze and park whilst the adults loved the hot tub. Will definetly be back.
Very spacious and comfortable stay. There is one bed that is at the front of the house. A bit of street noise on the Saturday night but thats just people having fun. We would certainly book again.
The place was good, especially if you are a big group. Living room, bar room was amazing. Rooms were spacious and big. One bathroom had a problem of heating, and if you are staying for more than 2 days, there should be a system of disposing bins stuff. But apart from that Ann was responsive and helpful. Appreciate her efforts and thanks for the lovely stay!
The house was beautiful, large and clean. I read other reviews about being close to the park and it was so close to the park… couldn’t get any closer!Large spacious rooms for sleeping and relaxing. Host was accommodating and friendly when met in person. Snacks left were a nice treat!
Ann and Paul were fantastic hosts and very accomodating. Their place was lovely and spacious, and the welcome pack was a nice touch. Lovely big house, that catered exactly to our needs. House was spotless and had everything we needed, we didn't cook as so close to lots of lovely restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Hot tub was a great bonus and perfect for a chilled out few hours. Located right at entrance to the beautiful castlewellan forest park. Great base for exploring the local area.
We absolutely loved staying at Ann's place. Such a gorgeous location and the house was perfect. There is so much to do from your doorstep, the hosts were very responsive, the jacuzzi was blissful and we hope to come back again. It was the perfect getaway. Thank you so much.

House was spotless with beautiful rooms decorated so tastefully. Hosts were on hand for any queries and to advise on what to do and places to go. The house is in a great location - with all amenities within very short walking distance,Castlewellan Forest Park, shops and pubs, but when you enter the house is it so private and peaceful. The hot tub is just stunning and the attention to detail is a credit to the owners. While Castlewellan is beautiful you are a short drive to other areas, so plenty to do for all ages. We had a really relaxing break and enjoyed quality family time which is so important. We will be back. Thank you so much.
Loved our stay in Forest Court! Perfect location - right in the town so very handy to shops, cafes etc but still felt private and we were not disturbed by any noise. Also right at the entrance of Castlewellan Forest park, which was lovely for beautiful walks, picnics, maze, water activities etc. The house is very spacious and comfortable, with the added bonus of the hot tub which we enjoyed relaxing in after putting the kids to bed! Ann was a wonderful host, always responding quickly, getting us what we needed. Also really appreciated the lovely welcome hamper with treats and activity books for the children. Really didn’t want to check out and hope we can stay again soon!
We had a great time at Ann's place. The house was just as described. Castlewellan Park was fun to visit. The maze was exciting. Will definitely recommend the Forest Court.
we had a lovely stay at Ann's accommodation. we stayed for the weekend and had a nice time. so close to the country park and local hotels, cafes and shops which was very convenient. the hot tub was a lovely addition. the kitchen was unfortunately missing a lot of key items which made cooking and eating at the accommodation difficult for example no microwave, chopping board, grater etc. we also couldn't find any instructions for the aga and the alternative was a gas cooker which was tricky to use. over we still had a good stay and would reccommend but maybe a few more utensils would make life a bit easier for us as we planned to eat in exclusively while in Castlewellan. Ann was lovely and a good host.
Ann's was really great it's private but really accessible to the town and park. The house was great, clean, tidy, great size and handy to town and Forest Park. Hotel is just across the road saves having to cook. Will definitely be back. Thanks Ann.
We stayed at Forest Court, with family, for Mum's 60th Birthday and had the best time. The house is located just 2 minutes from the entrance of Castlewellen Forest Park and we walked there with my 2 young children. There were 2 large sitting rooms so we got to sit and watch TV and chat or have meals around the large table. The lodge also came with a 6 seater hot tub under a wooden shelter so we had everything we needed to relax. We loved the small details like complimentary gift basket on arrival. The WiFi was strong and we could watch Netflix & Prime without any issues. The bedrooms all had comfortable beds and plenty of space.We would definitely recommend the lodge and will be returning. We loved our stay here, the house was lovely, very spacious and clean, liked how everyone could have their own space with the many bedrooms. Ideal location surrounded by lots of cafes, shops, pubs etc. and with beautiful surroundings that included Castlewellan Forest Park and a short drive to Newcastle. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and Ann was very responsive if I had any queries. Added bonuses of being pet friendly, private parking and a hot tub. Would definitely come back!
