I rarely do sondages but I have to share my experience.We always hear bad news or bad care.about emergency .I went into emergency with a severe headche .and accompanied with Neck pain ..The triage dept.is great .and runs well .the staff meaning drs.and nurses the technicians are very good and explain everything .Thanku ..wIth less Drs out there .there is along wait..I was there several hours but I had my assessment done well ..

I do not understand, why do some nurses have such attitude towards patients, I just visited a day ago and I asked a guy who was nurse that can you please provide me blanket because my husband was shivering and he said A BIG NO that we do not have anymore. And then a lady nurse came to check up on him and I asked her to provide more blankets and she gave me. I do not understand if to believe them or not even when they say.. sorry we do not have any ER available.. I am just fed up with hospital services they provide and treat people...

Pire hôpital
Ma mère n'a pas recu l'aide donc qu'elle avait besoin après son opération. Elle sait faite voler son 100$ et 4 paquets de cigarettes, lorsque lorsqu'on nettoyait sa chambre( pendant qu'elle dormait! )Les infirmières riait d'elle et en plus son lit n'a jamais été changer depuis son arrivée, (bientôt 1sem )elle a du elle même changer son piquer et les PAB s'en moquait !!!!!! Elle n'a pas recu son souper avant hier. Franchement quelle honte. Elle a demandé son congé car elle est épuisée!!!!

Tous les employés que j'ai côtoyé parlait très bien le français. L'hôpital est propre. L'employé du nom de Archie au département de radio est une perle ! Malgré qu'il était seul à tout gérer et il est resté souriant et patient envers tout le monde ! Il a fait ma journée !

Les dame aux guichets 1 et 2 pour les prises de sang local 653 sont tellement impatientes et impolies. Celle du guichet #1 a même dit a haute voix qu'elle n'aimait pas faire affaire avec les gens. Ma mere se fait opérer, elle n'a pas a vivre ça.

Best hospital ever! Great staff fast efficient service care. 3 times I’ve come to this hospital and they have never failed to exceed my expectations. Once for surgery and once in the emergency and now for ct scan. And I was given a last minute ct scan for my lower body and gave it to them on the same day as my other scan appointment and they did everything together! I live far but always come here because of the great care! I’m sorry for those who didn’t have a nice experience.

8 years ago I was misdiagnosed and rushed into a permanently debilitating surgery by Dr. Deckelbaum. He, alongside two of his friends outside of the hospital (a physio and an athletic therapist), coerced me into getting a mesh implanted inside of me despite having no medical justification for said mesh implant. I say coerced because he threatened to stop seeing me/helping me if I didn't accept getting the mesh implanted even though it was not necessary to fix their (wrong) diagnosis at the time. I suspect he had financial motives behind this behaviour as it is known that mesh manufacturers pay off doctors to use their products in patients. Immediately after the surgery the mesh felt like a piece of hot coal inside me causing debilitating pain. He simply said "that's unfortunate I can refer you to long-term pain management" and that was the end of my life as I'd known it. I tolerated the pain for 2 years while every tissue around the mesh tore inside of me and I eventually had to get it cut out of me by a surgeon in California.
I have seen a total of 6 or 7 surgeons about this including a world-leading expert in Munich, Germany who said that if this had occurred in Germany Dr. Deckelbaum would've gotten his medical license revoked for life. That there was no medical justification whatsoever for what he did to me and that he did hurt me.
I reported all of this to the College des Médecins. They made me wait for 7 months after which they said ''we asked Dr. Deckelbaum and he says it's your fault for accepting the procedure, nobody forced you to accept it.' I also tried reaching out to Dr. Deckelbaum to show him where he went wrong so he can learn from his mistakes and asked to be referred to a different doctor for all the permanent damage and issues I'll have for the rest of my life. He didn't care and refused to refer me. To this day I don't have a doctor and I've stopped seeking help. I just live a miserable life in pain and disability now.
Since this whole ordeal he has been promoted to head physician for the Montreal Canadiens NHL team. Meanwhile my life is ruined, I lost my career and I live with permanent damage, disfiguration and crippling pain for the rest of my life. All so he could make a couple of bucks.
I'm leaving this review here because people like him never act alone. They are enabled by an entire system of morally corrupt individuals who look the other way when they witness questionable behaviour. I hope that one day karma gets him for what he did to me and most likely others. If you are a patient here - trust your gut. There are no checks and balances here, no accountability, nothing. The ombudsman is useless. Just egos and status-chasers. I will keep editing/renewing this review so that it's at the very top every time someone looks up this place.
Becoming sick is not a choice but when you do, this is a good place to be. I felt that they take good care of you

I came to the Montreal General Hospital ER today after a telemedicine nurse instructed me to seek emergency care immediately for serious symptoms, including difficulty breathing and limited mobility.
Despite being told there was no wait, I was left for about 30 minutes, only to be met by a triage nurse whose first interaction with me was shouting. She never offered me a seat even though I was visibly struggling to breathe. When I explained my symptoms and that I was directed here by a nurse, she told me to “go to a clinic” and dismissed me, adding that if I chose to stay I would wait 6+ hours.
I have never felt so humiliated or dehumanized by a healthcare professional. The complete lack of compassion and basic respect is unacceptable, especially in an emergency department where patients are already at their most vulnerable.
This experience left me questioning whether patients in need of urgent care can actually rely on this hospital. If empathy, professionalism, and dignity matter, then this ER failed on every level.
Que ce soit des préposés aux médecins,la qualité des services est exemplaire et la gentillesse est prédominante à tous les niveaux.

Très bonne hôpital j'y ai été hospitaliser pour une chirurgie de la hanche droite tous le personnel, médecin, chirurgien infirmière et infirmiers et tous les autres mon très bien soignée durant mon séjour du 7 au 11 août 2025 la nourriture était bonne merci à tous le personnel de l'hôpital pour les soins merci beaucoup
