A rendelő vasárnap 18:30-kor zárva volt. Záróra után is van kolléga, aki figyeli a csatornáinkat, így a chatet is. A nem sürgős üzeneteket szigorúan érkezési sorrendben válaszoljuk meg. Az Ön esetében a válasz az első üzenetétől számított 30 percen belül megérkezett.

Nem tudjuk, miért nem kapta meg a magyar nyelvű automatikus záróra utáni üzenetet; ebben egyértelműen szerepel, hogy a rendelő zárva van, de telefonon és e-mailen továbbra is elérhetőek vagyunk (mindkét elérhetőség fel van tüntetve).

Sajnáljuk, hogy a 30 perces várakozás miatt egy csillagos értékelést kapottunk, és hogy nem tudtunk ennél hamarabb válaszolni.

Thank you for your review regarding the delay in our after-hours chat response.

The clinic was closed at 18:30 on Sunday evening. When we are closed, we still have staff monitoring our channels, including the chat service. Non-essential messages are answered strictly in the order they are received. In your case, a reply was sent 30 minutes after your initial message.

We’re not sure why the automatic after-hours message in Hungarian did not reach you; it clearly states that the clinic is closed but we can still be contacted by phone or email (both contact details were provided).
We’re sorry that the 30-minute wait led to this one-star review and that we couldn’t respond sooner.

Despite similarly bad experiences in the past, I went to First Med again for an appointment with an ENT doctor as a had a congested ear. When seeing the doctor I made it clear that I had no other problems or complaints. She cleaned my ears as requested, charge HUF 35 500. However, without being requested, she made a full ENT consultation, charge HUF 59500. With a reduction I paid HUF 82 575 for 15 minutes visit. When going to First Med, I am aware the fees are well above the Hungarian standards. I am ready to pay for this as I can count on a prompt service. However, I greatly dislike being charged for services I have not requested. This leaves a very bad impression both, of the doctors and the clinic.

To clarify: your appointment was booked as an ENT consultation for “congestion in your ear” (ear cleaning is not a stand-alone service). Every specialist consultation includes a base fee for the doctor’s time and expertise, even if the visit results in a simple procedure.

As an Expat living and working here in Hungary, one of my concerns is the healthcare facilities. Although I've heard some negative comments, especially in public hospitals, my experience with FirstMed is different. The system and facilities are far more advanced. The resident staff are courteous and disciplined, and the resident Doctors are very professional. I will be here for a few more years, and I feel safe. Great experience with Dr. Zoller and the entire team! The nurses and staff were all professional, friendly, and efficient. We came here for our visa immigration medical exam, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommend this clinic for anyone going through the process.

I recommend FirstMed Budapest highly enough. From the moment we walked in, we ware greeted by incredibly friendly and efficient administrative staff who made the check-in process seamless and quick. The waiting area was spotless, comfortable, and maintained a calm atmosphere, which immediately put me at ease. My appointment with Dr. Boros Veronika was outstanding, she demonstrated the utmost professionalism and genuine care and took the time to listen patiently to all our concerns about child, provided clear, detailed explanations regarding my treatment plan, and answered every question without rushing. It felt like a true partnership in my daugther health, which is unfortunately rare these days. The facility itself is modern, well-equipped, and impeccably clean—a clear indication of their high standards. The nurses and support staff were equally wonderful.

The care and diagnosis I received from the doctor was great the problem comes with billing. I was billed a HUGE amount for a basic doctors visit and then when they sent the bill to Blue Cross Blue Shield in the USA they put the wrong diagnostic code so I was billed the ENTIRE over $400 dollar amount for a quick simple office visit. After many emails back and forth they were not willing to do anything to correct their mistake. This is not a company to be trusted, also what they originally billed me turned out to be even more once the charge appeared on my credit card. After speaking to several local Hungarians I was told not to use this company because of their outrageous prices.

We uncovered your issues based on an invoice almost 2 years old that was just settled last month. To my understanding there were no incorrect billing codes. You should just take your invoice and reclaim from BCBS. I’d be happy to discuss further but there is little we can do about an invoice from early last year.

Usually rather good medical center, considering the country medical level offer, with nice and mostly good doctors. I had a new bad experience with the administration : fast in answer, fast in billing at highest price, lack of information, remind to pay cost AFTER procedure and threat.

Dear P.V. I am sorry if you felt the doctor was not providing you enough direct attention during your consultation. This is not the first time we have received feedback regarding staff looking at the computer rather than the patient. Most times this is happening, it is because the doctor must write the information in the patient's medical records and it is easier to write directly while being told rather than to consult their handwritten notes or memory later. They quickly gave me an appointment- I was very happy- even at a sunday- this is the 2 stars. The secretary people are very helpful and super friendly. The Doctor I had itself was friendly too (Dr. Marianna Hegyi) But she did not trust my pain issues and downplayed it, cause she couldn´t see the issue. She also asked me random stuff about my health that had 0% to do with my painpoint. As a result I had a serious pain developing and my further travel was very painful until I found a way to get all the medicine I needed by myself. The medicine she recommended (free of prescription) was nothing that helped. I would not come again to this specific Doctor.

I had a very disappointing experience with FirstMed. Their staff confirmed they could run specific blood tests, but after I booked, and spent time on the process, including visiting Firstmed to have blood drawn on two occasions, Firstmed later admitted those tests were not actually available. When I asked for acknowledgment of the mistake and a commitment to accuracy in the future, I only received excuses and no apology. Basic accountability and professional communication were missing.

Thank you for your comments. We value your feedback and regret any inconvenience caused by the misunderstanding regarding the availability of certain lab tests. As discussed privately, I regret if your expectations were beyond what we could have reasonably offered due to miscommunication. With a multitude of lab tests and panels being available in other parts of the world, not all of them are readily available in Hungary. We can never be 100% sure of availability in the short period time when booking the appointment which is why they should be discussed, and ordered, by your doctor.

We appreciate your understanding, and I am sorry you left feeling that we had let you down or wasted your time.

I’ve been using FirstMed’s premium plan in Budapest for a few years, and overall my experience has been very good. The clinic is well-organized, and I’ve met many excellent doctors there who provide thorough care and a professional approach. The staff is generally kind and helpful, and I’ve appreciated the convenience and quality of many of the medical services included in the plan. That being said, I’ve been quite disappointed with certain diagnostic services, especially ultrasound. The reports I received were extremely brief - sometimes only a single line - with no images or detailed measurements attached. For me, this is not sufficient, as a more comprehensive report is crucial for understanding the findings and sharing them with other specialists if needed. This part of the service feels far below the otherwise high standards of the clinic.

While traveling I needed to see a doctor. I discovered this place while using ChatGPT to search for medical care and then I read their reviews. They sounded good so I scheduled an appointment. I needed help with a specific health issue that appeared & they were able to be see me the following day. With no health insurance my visit cost 72,000 HUF ($213 USD). That included seeing the doctor & having a urine test completed. I was seen on time and the whole appointment took about 1 hour. The staff were friendly and the clinics atmosphere was calm. Recommend.

Очень плохая и дорогая клиника не доволен абсолютно я сам с Украины проходил у них медкомиссию озвучили цену в 150€ хорошо потом начали по врачам отправлять каждый прием по 100+ € полный ноль Nagyon rossz orvosi központ, nem tudom, sok európai országban jártam már, sehol sem voltak ilyen árak. Elmentem az orvosi bizottsághoz, azt mondták, 150 euróba fog kerülni, elkezdtek felírni néhány beavatkozást, hallásvizsgálat 100+ euró, szemész 100+ euró, kétségbeesésből mentem. Senkinek sem ajánlom, pénzért átvernek, gazemberek.

My experience in Nov-Dec 2024 was extremely negative. I had serious gastrointestinal problems so I turned to FirstMed. The doctor sent me home saying it is normal for my condition. After a couple of days I returned again to FirstMed because I was not feeling well at all. I was seen by another gastroenterologist who again confirmed everything is normal and sent me home. Luckily my husband convinced me that we should return home (Italy) and seek help there which is what I did a day after my second visit. I was immediately hospitalized and remained in hospital for ONE MONTH. The consequences of this I will have to take with me for the rest of my life!

I got turned away from multiple clinics because they either didn’t speak english or simply didn’t want to. When I called first med I got an appointment the same day, the ladies at the front desk were super helpful and the doctor explained everything in great detail. Afterwards they set me up with an english speaking general practitioner to get official sick leave from work. Overall a great experience
