I live in the US and earlier this year was looking to transfer my Defined Benefits UK pension to a SIPPs provider. In researching companies I was very impressed with the Cameron James website - it had clear and transparent answers to all questions relating to SIPPs and the transfer process itself. After starting a dialogue with a CJ representative I was equally impressed with how they helped coordinate the transfer of the pension and set up the SIPPs investment. Transferring pension money to an unknown company can feel risky but after a lot of research and due diligence I have been very happy with Cameron James.

Like many of us reaching retirement age now I had a number of company pension schemes all with different providers. Cameron James enabled me to bring these together into one scheme. The financial advice is excellent and clearly explained all the way through. The investments within the scheme are intelligently placed and at a risk level within my comfort zone. As I was approaching retirement, I wanted to convert my DB pensions to DC and then combine all my DC company pensions in one place to manage the pot better for better returns than the incumbent pension administrators had been delivering. The solution had to be tax efficient in both the UK and US. I found Cameron James Finance online when looking for a firm to help me with a SIPP transaction. I reached out using the web form and was contacted by Jonathan within 30 minutes. I’m based overseas so working remotely with any firm required a great deal of trust. Thank you to Jonathan Laws, he has always acted in a polite and professional manor and very promt at getting back to me. The level or transpartency is the best I have come accross, showing the potential portfolio before any sign up. Alos they use Novia Gloabal for the Interntional Sipp which I had researched before approaching CJ. They by far had the best reponse time and level of information than other companies. I spoke to around 6 other companies after first researching Expat pensions. Of course I can not commnet at this stage on the actual performance of the funds but the up front information allows you to research the funds you will have your money invested in. Also Jonothan does not try and bambusal you with usesless information as others have tried, everything he gives is relevant and to the point and he also does not assume you have no knowledge yourself again as others have done. They transfered all my pensions as fast as possible and guided me through the process and kept in touch to ensure I new what to do next, they filled out forms imediatly and guided me through what I needed to do at each step. Highly recomend them based on the front end interaction and will leave further comment in a couple of years.
