We have a beautiful 1 year old daughter born via an incredible surrogate (no thanks to cfc) and have no plans to engage with them despite them taking a lot of our money. There are a few red flags for me when I consider our journey. 1. We first matched with a lovely lady however I was a bit concerned about a medication she was taking. Leia told me that she would find me ‘a dumb surrogate’ when I discussed my concerns with her. She repeated this phrase at least twice. My husband and I left the phone call shocked 2. We matched with a woman from a foreign country trying to get her children into Canada. Her husband was in another country all together. It was clearly not a stable situation and not conducive to true altruistic surrogacy. 3. Getting ghosted by a surrogate after we’d paid (this I admit I can’t claim to be fault of cfc but sure is a coincidence)

Surrogacy is a long and sometimes challenging process, with ups and downs, but we have always felt well supported and guided by the CFC team.
