Definitely I was not expecting to get that scare. It was all dark and that freaks me out

I booked online as the description on the website had 2 options - a truly scary one with actors and a family friendly "fun" one. However, when we arrived we were told that during school holidays they run only scary ones. We entered the room to start the activity, it went dark and within 10 seconds my 7 year old daughter screamed and cried that she wanted to get out. So we left. No refund was offered. Note, I saw a few groups were leaving while we were waiting and everyone was quite happy and excited saying that it was fun. So it might be fun for older kids. I wish the website was clear that during school holidays there won't be an option suitable for younger kids.

Really good experience. My now 8 year old son had been wanting to visit since he saw the place two years ago as a 6 year old. Having visited at the weekend our now old enough son was full of excitement and fear upon entering. It ticked all of the boxes!! He came away proud to have completed it, with great memories of the whole thing. Would recommend.

Not what i expected, overpriced IMO for a less than 5minute walk through, we didn’t get to see where the scare was! Left disappointed wouldn’t return or recommend.

I visited with my 11 year old daughter on Saturday 13 July at about 530pm. The reception staff were awesome and really set the scene for us. The house really is scary; well done to the actors inside for making us scream! Be brave, don't chicken out!

I don't scare easily, and I was absolutely terrified the entire time I was here! I hid behind my mates the whole time, would definitely recommend this spot when the weather isn't great!

Don't underestimate fear factory my brother's friend cried lol

it was so scary my friend genuinely peed herself and when we got out we all collapsed to the floor. not for the faint hearted. 11/10 😁

Amazing experience a definite must do and amazing staff and actors really a horrifying but fun experience

This is more a dark maze than a haunted house. I think there was only two actors in the maze going from place to place. If you are afraid of the dark you might like it. If you want to see haunted actors I would avoid this place. The coolest thing was they have a good camera system to track you and see your videos at the end.

I loved Fear Factory! I didn’t really know what to expect, but I really enjoyed it. The staff there were so friendly and courteous… Tilly and Lucia in particular were really sweet and nice… despite their scary makeup! Lol I got so scared going through it… wayyy more than I expected. My adrenaline levels were so much higher doing this than even on the Shotover Jet! I highly recommend it. I’ve read through some of these other reviews… I think some people are quite immature in their bad reviews. This place is what you would expect… it’s a scary, fear factory! They are going to scare you. But you need to follow the directions and go through it in the right order. The staff do an awesome job… they have to manage all sorts of different groups. If you and your group act like immature children, then don’t complain when the staff have to reprimand you or even end the experience early. Act responsibly and you’ll have a fabulous time!
