Excellent first time sailing experience Ivana and her team were excellent starting with initial communication before booking to their information and advice/knowledge throughout and seeing us at the end of our trip. Myself and my family had a truly wonderful experience for our first time sailing. From start to finish it was faultless. Their choice of skipper was also perfect and a shout out to Filip for being a great skipper and for taking us to some amazing places that Croatia has to offer. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt relaxed at all times. We would highly recommend Fair Wind Yacht Charter and hope to return in the not too distant future! Happy sailing!

Summer wind extravaganza A great experience from the check in to check out. Ivana & Paško were very professional in every step and the boat was handed over in pristine condition. So the only thing left was to enjoy good weather and smooth sailing on 15kt winds average which were perfect for our newbie crew. See you next summer!

Great experience I chartered in july Bavaria 41 "Morning Breeze" together with my family. The communication with Fair Wind was fast and clear, the boat was clean and in perfect condition. Everything was functional. Fair Wind is by far the best charter company.Will definitely come back.

Five stars on all levels! Fair Wind exceeded all of our expectations! Timely and clear communication with Ivana set us on the right course for a trip of a lifetime. The boat was immaculate and well appointed, comfortable day & night. The flexibility to go where we wanted to, instead of a prescribed route also made the journey a top experience. We hit the jackpot with our Skipper, Brane! The perfect balance of tying to mooring buoys and boardwalks, amazing restaurant recommendations and places to get groceries along the way... there was not one thing I would change!

Another week of lifelong memories Fairwind was always going to be our choice for our second bareboat charter on the magnificent Croatian coast. Our first experience in 2019 was perfection so we had to return with our adult children and their partners. With 9 of us we went with Ivana’s recommendation of their new 40’ catamaran, Wind Seeker. So spacious, comfortable and clever. We had a magnificent week.Ivana and Paško’s great boats and attention to detail makes sure everything goes well - nice when you’ve travelled all the way from Australia.

Superb Cruising From the prompt and informative reply to our initial email enquiry right to the time we had to regrettably finish our charter everything in this experience was excellent.The yacht was immaculately clean and extremely well maintained.Everything worked.Our skipper Zoe was exceptional. She had great technical knowledge of the weather, sailing and best destination. But even better she is a fantastic person who it was a pleasure to get to know.The cruising area is beautiful of course and this is such a great way to see it. Every day is a new adventure.Cannot recommend this as a holiday or this company to do it with highly enough.

A perfect holiday, even better than our very high expectations We had an amazing holiday with fairwind. Everything was perfect, from the very thorough and prompt communication with Ivana prior to our arrival to the very comfortable and well equipped catamaran and the beautiful Dalmatian island scenery. Our skipper Mise was amazing. He went above and beyond to make an itinerary that perfectly suited what we wanted and made our holiday really amazing. He was wonderfully kind, great at teaching any of us who wanted to learn the ropes, so thoughtful (thanks for the homemade birthday tiramisu mise!) and also great fun. Holiday highlights included swimming in the perfect turquoise water in secluded bays, visiting beautiful towns, getting to sail and visiting restaurants well off the beaten track. This was the perfect holiday for our group of adults and teenagers. Everyone loved it and I cannot think how it could have been better

A fantastic family holiday. I would strongly recommend Ivana and her team at Fair Wind Charter. Thoroughly efficient from start to finish. Skipper was fantastic as was the hostess for breakfast and lunch and generally looking after us. We had zero experience and they reassured us and made us feel welcome and comfortable in their company. Take their advice on restaurants to try. We will be back for sure.

Sailing with Fair Wind a Pleasure We chose to charter with Fair Wind because of the reviews we read talking about their personal contact and attention to details. Our week-long cruise through the Dalmatian Islands out of Split did not disappoint and showed why Ivana Kovačić is so successful at running the business with her husband. The Lagoon 40S was clean, well equipped and well prepared. When we discovered that the fishing tackle we thought was going to be there was not, Fair Wind got it to us within 24 hours. The captain, Miše Mamić, was skilled, calm, kind and a good teacher for those of us who had not sailed a catamaran before. He did a great job understanding my/our priorities and helped us agree on a route that included just the right mix of sailing, visits to gorgeous remote coves and access to beautiful towns. The hostess, Sunčica Jakšić, took care of the provisioning, cooking and docking duties with skill and good humor that helped keep us all in a good mood. She showed a boat of drunken Polish men giving her unsolicited advice that a woman is fully capable to manage docking duties in a tricky situation. The fact that the two of them are long-time friends made it even nicer for all of us. By the end of the cruise, they felt more like friends than hired professionals. In short, we highly recommend Fair Wind.

Excellent experience If I could give Fairwind 10 stars I would. The owners Ivana and Pasko are wonderful. Ivana was most pleasant and accommodating (even when I asked stupid questions). Pasko is a very calm level headed person. We had what could have been a serious problem (caused entirely by me) and Pasko dealt with it quickly and fairly and very calmly.Kudos to Fairwind. I can't recommend them highly enough. There is no reason to charter from anyone else.

100% of the satisfaction I have been sailing with Fair Wind for several years now, but this was the first sea voyage for my crew. The first such adventure in their lives, so I am also sharing their fresh opinion here.Sailing in Croatia is great. We came back delighted with this form of activity and relaxation. Every day a different place, different landscape, a different port, marina… and even the weather.Our seven-person crew from Poland set off on the Morning Breeze (Bavaria 41C) yacht in May "long weekend" from the ACI marina in Split for adventures on the Adriatic islands.The charming Milna on Brač, Pakleni Otoci with the exotic Palimižana, the luxurious Maslinica on the island of Šolta, the beautiful Rogoznica and the intimate port of Rogač. All marinas of a different character, with different attractions. This is the advantage of sailing, especially since most of these places can only be reached by the sea.The youngest 12-year-old crew member was delighted with the island of Sveti Klement full of cacti and peacocks, and we were charmed by the Dragon's Eye lake and the view from the hill in Rogoznica, paintings and mosaics in the cave in Rogač, empty beaches full of sharp rocks, amazing nature in each of these places. Intimacy and silence and in contrast lively Split, which we have been very fond of for years.It was nice, fun, but above all safe and comfortable. The yacht met all our expectations. It turned out to be comfortable, very well equipped, handled well and performed well on large waves and gusty winds.Ivana and Paško - the owners of Fair Wind were very interested in our sea journey. We knew that in case of the slightest problem, they would be ready to help us. In addition, they turned out to be extremely nice people.We recommend such holidays to everyone, because Croatia is perfect for sailing, and Fair Wind guarantees 100% satisfaction.We will definitely come back here more than once.

What an Incredible Week We booked the the Lagoon 400 Second Wind catamaran for one week on October 1, 2022 and our skipper was Mishe. And as another reviewer points out--not just a great skipper but a great human being! Because of our skipper we had an incredible seven days out! We beat the crowds, found secluded spots, enjoyed the island ports and just had a fantastic time overall. Swimming, snorkeling, dining, exploring, shopping, sunning and relaxing too. Day one Palmizana--just over the hill is Vinogradisce. Then to Korcula, day 2. Day 3 I think we spent the night at some isolated beach on the south side of Korcula Island. Day 4 Zaklopatica Bay to the town of Lastovo. Day 5 Vis. Day 6 Hvar--what an fantastic town! Then back to Split on day 7.What a week we had! Had it been warmer it would have been even better. We did get lucky as the weather for this week as cool, not cold and we were able to swim because the water temperature was nice. We were not able to book earlier because our 4 month trip to Europe landed us in Croatia in the September/October time frame.My brother and his wife flew from California to Croatia to join us and my Croatian cousin from Rijeka came as well to join with myself and my daughter, so our boat had plenty of room for the 4 of us plus the skipper.I planned this trip myself and I must say that Ivana was the most warm and helpful person to work with. This is a family owned business and they take great care to hire the best skippers and hostesses, they take great care of the vessels and they most assuredly take great care of their customers. Everything was easy to do working through this company and we were given fantastic advise from Ivana and Mishe that really helped make this week amazing.I am convinced that if you hire Fair Wind, you will discover that you have made the best decision that you could make chartering out of Split.

Fantastic Charter company in a stunning sailing area We rented a Bavaria 46 - 'Fair Wind'. The boat was in great condition and well equipped, including bow thrusters which is a must for Split ACI Marina - super narrow channels when full at the weekends, but also really helpful whenever you are mooring. Charter company were really helpful in getting us set, and also sending us warnings/ check ups during the trip. Croatia and the Split area is an awesome place to sail. Something for everyone with quiet deserted bays through to hustling and bustling cities. First time going there in September - We had no issues with crowding at any of our stop overs, not even needing to put a line ashore which is really common but tedious throughout much of the Med. You do need to book Marina's in advance though so be warned! Quite a lot of mooring bouys available at cost or including with dining which was helpful and super easy at times. Weather was warm but not hot and we did need fleeces occasionally when sailing. There was plenty of wind with 5 of 7 days having enough to sail all day, although the direction would change really quickly and also around islands so you do need to plan carefully and have back up plans in place if you are intending to do longer transits under sail. Highly recommend this company and we may very well be back. We love Croatia and felt welcome wherever we went.

The best yacht charter company in Split Based on previous reviews we booked through Fair Wind - what a great decision! I have little sailing experience but wanted a holiday for three teenagers that would be fun, adventurous but also enjoyable for myself. Our skipper Steve totally understood what we wanted for the week and so we had the most idyllic time visiting beautiful coves, eating at really special bars and restaurants that he recommended and seeing a part of the world we hadn't visited before. He kept in contact with other skippers of yachts to ensure we avoided the crowds and always had a plan for where to visit next. The yacht was comfortable, spacious and very well equipped. Ivana was always available both before the trip and during our week of sailing to answer questions and help with travel arrangements.Fairwind gives an excellent, good value experience and I trust and recommend them completely.

Our best sailing yacht chartering in Croatia so far! :) We rented a Bavaria 37 cruiser sailing yacht for a week. Our overall experience was excellent, the best chartering in Croatia so far! :) Communication and booking was smooth, Ivana was very responsive and thorough. We took the deposit waiver option for extra peace of mind. They even reserved a parking spot for us with their own car, which was a blessing because the marina’s parking lot was full on Saturday afternoon. The initial check of the boat was a little “tour” with Paško. He went through everything that we should know, and answered all our questions. Initial paperwork was quick and efficient. The boat was in excellent condition for its age, very well maintained and full of thoughtful extras that are needed for this make and are often missing at other charters. (E.g. an extra plug in-light for the cockpit). The galley (kitchen) utensils were also very functional (cheese grater also, which is again rare…). Engine worked well, sails and rigging great, and it’s even equipped with a heating system. We had a great time, sailed over 150 M in a week. Cabins and berths were nice and clean, comfortable, bedding linens and towels all spotless. Disembarkation, checking the boat and final paperwork also went well and smoothly - no problems, very kind and understanding approach again. At the end they sent us the GPS tracking data what we did, which was very useful for completing the skipper’s logbook. I would like to highlight the costumer service aspect - Ivana and Paško show great personal interest in their business which shows on many levels. They are of course personally engaged with customers, but also their employees. They have a great team, staff are also polite and very nice. Highly recommend!

Great experience with well equipped sailing boat We chartered a Bavaria 37 Cruiser sailing boat from Fair Wind, and were totally satisfied with the boat and the services overall. The boat was well equipped, clean and in good working order, the handover was professional and smooth, the people at Fair Wind were all kind and friendly, admin was easy. We really enjoyed our sailing holiday and will be back - thank you Fair Wind!

Great vacation in beautiful Dalmatia! It was our third time with Fair Wind which is enough recommendation. Always 100% service and everything we asked for was applied.This trip we didn't have any plan, which is not recommended, as the ports are very busy and you really have to think ahead, specially for the first week, we took two weeks. Even if you want to stay on a buoy you should plan and book.The most special stay this trip was on the Island Scedro, we recommend an overnight stay there. The only negative thing was that prices have really hit the sky in restaurants and ports, as four years ago we didn't even think about prices, now we could see the difference.

Sailing on a Bav45 from Fair Wind Great week's sailing on the Bavaria 45 in August. Superb cruising ground with anchorages and harbours to suit all tastes. Pretty busy at this time of year, though. Fair Wind is an excellent family business that takes great care of its customers and of its boats. Communications before the trip were superb, taking over the boat was painless, and handing her back couldn't have been simpler. The yacht was decently equipped and well set up for family cruising. Would strongly recommend Fair Wind if you want the personal touch and a decent boat.

Top company. Highly recommended Large companies can’t competewith the flexibility and customer service that this smaller family run business provides. The boat was in an excellent condition & fully equipped. We could board the night we arrived and do check in the next morning, had flexibility for refuelling and returning times… highly recommended. We normally sail in Balearic Islands and this was our first Croatia sailing trip. Very impressed with quality of water, anchoring options, terrific food and wine!. We’ll be back.
