A technician named Chris recently came to my home and stated that my new HVAC system required a “full system cleaning” for $2,025. He claimed the system was already dirty, that failing to do the service would void my warranty, and that biological growth in the ductwork could make my family sick if we didn’t act immediately. The approach felt very high-pressure and concerning, and I was not comfortable with how the situation was presented.

Matt and Levi did an excellent job replacing our old Carrier heat pump. Clearly very well educated on all the twists and turns. Left the place cleaner than it was when they got there. First class all the way. Very glad we went with Excel again!

Had a heating unit installed in 2022, since then we have had excel out 5 times to make things right. Started with blowing fuses and a loud banging sound. One tech had it working right in March of 2025 but then the cold came and we kept blowing fuses. Owner came out claimed it was something rubbing on the metal and it all worked fine until we started getting to thawing temperatures. The unit would run very hard and have loud banging sounds. We called and they said they would get back to us and did not. Now a few months later our coils on the AC have frozen over and they say it’s from the condenser over running and placed stress on it making it go out. I asked the tech to have the owner come out and walked away. Tech left so I called the owner. I have him on recording that he agreed all of this happened and still tried to say it was our fault. Then once I said he was being recorded he hung up the phone.

To clarify, the air handler installed in 2022 is separate from the heat pump system, and the compressor issue being referenced in not related to the work performed. Mechanical failures such as this can occur over time and are not uncommon. Routine maintenance can help prevent issues from happening to your equipment, which has not been done.

Our technician was dispatched to inspect the equipment and sign up for the maintenance plan; however, the visit was cut short and not competed.

I am sorry we were not able to help you out and wish you the best in getting your heat pump issue resolved.

If you need anything related to Heating or Air.. I highly recommend this company. The couple times I’ve called them, they are either out that same day or the next day. I needed a furnace repair today 4/3/26.. Chris the technician was awesome, super friendly, on time, got the job done quickly and efficiently. My 2 year old was playing with Chris and it was so funny to watch them interact! He’s super professional and I will be calling this company from now on, no questions asked! Thank you guys!

We had a great experience with all the employees who worked in installing the new air conditioning unit. Starting with Austin, who came to give us the estimate. He was very thorough in explaining the replacement need and the details of the cost involved. Next day, Matt and Eric showed up on time. They were very careful to cover everything in our house to keep it clean. They were very professional and courteous. In the end, they waited half an hour to make sure that everything was working fine. They left our house very clean. Next day Larry came to change the circuit breaker to match the new unit. He not only did what he was supposed to do, but he also covered up the open slot for safety. These days when good service is nonexistent, it’s refreshing that Excel and its employees takes their jobs seriously. We highly recommend them.
