A technician named Chris recently came to my home and stated that my new HVAC system required a “full system cleaning” for $2,025. He claimed the system was already dirty, that failing to do the service would void my warranty, and that biological growth in the ductwork could make my family sick if we didn’t act immediately. The approach felt very high-pressure and concerning, and I was not comfortable with how the situation was presented.

“Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re very sorry to hear about your experience — this is not how we want our customers to feel when working with our team.
At Excel Heating & Air Conditioning, we take pride in providing honest recommendations and allowing our customers to make informed decisions without pressure. Any service we recommend should be clearly explained, with options provided, and never presented in a way that feels urgent or uncomfortable.
We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly, review what was discussed during your visit, and ensure you receive clear and accurate information about your system. A full system cleaning is not something that should be presented as an immediate requirement without proper explanation and documentation.
Please contact our office at your convenience so we can make this right.
We truly value your trust and the opportunity to serve you.”
