Rojhan Toll Plaza needs a major upgrade regarding its payment system. Currently, there is no online or digital payment facility available, which leads to unnecessary delays and long queues. In this digital era, relying solely on cash is quite inconvenient for travelers. I hope the management introduces card or mobile payment options soon to improve traffic flow. Tip for travelers: Make sure to carry enough physical cash before reaching this point!
The Rojhan Toll Plaza is located on the Indus Highway. Initially, the toll plaza was built on the road leading into Rojhan city (Zahid Road), but after some time, it was shifted to its current location. It has now been several years since it was established here, and the new building is well-constructed and looks attractive.
However, the facilities at the toll plaza are very poor. There is no proper rest area for travelers, and the washrooms are extremely dirty and almost unusable. There is no running water available in the toilets, and in the nearby mosque, the washrooms and ablution area are also in bad condition — water is often unavailable, and sometimes only stored in drums. This is despite the fact that a water motor and even a small bank building are present at the site.
There are a few small shops and houses nearby where travelers can buy tea, water, snacks, vegetables, and fruits. A tire repair shop is also available. A side road from this area leads toward Rojhan city, and vehicles coming from that route often bypass the toll plaza without paying, as the bypass is just a short distance ahead. Many local cars, wagons, and small vehicles use this route to avoid paying the toll.
