We just had the Ottawa 2 hours tour with Sparky yesterday and it was wonderful despite the unannounced rain. We are a family of 4 with our kids aged 6 and 11. The youngest one needed a break handle adjustment for his small hands and it was quickly made by the bike tech before we started the tour. The speed was perfect for everyone, including the elderly people from the other family that was riding with us. The ride was very safe, using mainly the lanes reserved for bikes. The bikes have 7 gears even if there was no big uphill section. For the whole family, it really felt like a little adventure through the city, passing over many bridges and waterfalls, seeing monuments, water locks and historical buildings with very interesting explainations from Sparky. She did made the effort to speak a little bit of french to our youngest who doesn't understand english yet (french being his second language already). Sparky also had 2 ponchos in her bag, in the case of rain. We brought our raincoats with us even if they announced 40% of 0.1mm of rain for the hour and are glad we did, as it was pouring rain (something that felt like 2.0mm of rain for the hour). In the case of doubt, I would recommend you bring yours too. In sum, everything went perfectly smooth with the tour, we had a lot of fun and we came back on time for the next activity! Tour was fantastic. David was an amazing guide. Got to see beautiful side of the city and he had some great information to share. The bikes are excellent very light weight and robust.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience renting from Escape Tour Rentals. Everything from start to finish worked out very well. The location was very convenient, close to a café, where we took in some morning caffeine, and right in the heart of Ottawa in general. The proximity to the biking trail that we rode on was extremely convenient as well. The trails were well marked, smooth, and spacious. Even though this was on a Sunday, we never felt like the trail was crowded. We chose to follow the water along the canal and then to come back on the Rideau River. It was also our first time on an E-bike. They are smooth, very supportive, and easy to operate. Outside of the equipment, the employees who assisted us were first class and explained everything prior to departure. They also made recommendations based on the path we were going to take. I 100% recommend renting through Escape; we are already planning two more visits over the next few months!

I came here for a Bachelorette Party of 8 people. Reserving ahead of time was easy and organized. Communication with the owners was simple and easy too. We rented kayaks. We arrived late but they allowed us to extend our rentals which was perfect; the young man instructing us was kind, informative and energetic. Our experience was perfect. Will return

Heel kwalitatieve fietsen, ook elektrisch. Alle materiaal wordt goed onderhouden en je krijgt er ook een uitgebreide uitleg bij. Wij namen 2 kinderen mee achterop en dat ging prima.

The staff at Escape were very pleasant and seemed to enjoy their work. I always attribute this kind of thing to the quality of the management. Escape could not be more centrally located as it is a block away from Parliament Hill. The fact that it is on Sparks Street (a pedestrian mall) makes it a calm and interesting point to start off from. This little business is as near ideal as you could expect to find.

I had a great two hour tour of Ottawa and surrounding area and I got to see some places that I probably wouldn’t have otherwise.

Friendly staff, new equipment, very seasonable rental rates and hassle free. Highly recommended
