Doesn't easily do metric gears; hijacks other CAD files I installed eMachine Shop to design some metric gears with a 15 modulus. For some reason it wouldn't let me directly input the modulus into the program--those fields were greyed out. Instead I had to input Imperial information repeatedly until it got "close" to the metric equivalent. I saved the file and my daughter uploaded it into a 3D printer, but the parts came out the wrong size...Grrrrr!! MY BIGGEST GRIPE-- The eMachine software took over ALL my CAD files so I couldn't open them with regular CAD software. If I had known it would do this I wouldn't have downloaded it. This is an abuse of my personal property so I Uninstalled it.

eMachineShop did a great job on my custom plates and guides for an extendable mast for my Ham Radio Antenna. I made a calculation issue by .012 which I have to fix here but their end did a great job.

Really happy to discover this company. Not just easy mechanical engineering services online with no-fuss, 24/7 ordering, and no sales pitches, but the free CAD software is fantastic. I'm NOT a mechanical engineer, and have found that most mechanical CAD software is simply horribly unapproachable. The eMachinShop uses a common sense user interface, everything just worked and did as I expected (WARNING--except default autosave which overwrites your design and locks in your mistakes, turn this off!!). It was a pure joy to design my first Pelican Bezel plate, and the result was perfect and gorgeous. The software quotes the design and takes your order, this is just fantastic!

After trying to have some small (2" x 2" x 2") suspension brackets CNC-milled for my human-powered streamliner locally in Detroit, and being ghosted at 3 different shops, I decided to try eMachineShop based on good reviews online. . I sent in my file. A week later, received the quote. A month later, as promised, received my part. . The part is beautiful to look at, is exactly what I ordered. It wasn't low cost, but good stuff never is. . I'm very pleased, and have just ordered 2 additional parts made for the same project, after seeing how this one turned out.

my son and are building a combat robot for this April 18 2024 the emachine was the only one that would help. We live in san jose ca and could not find a shop that would get back to us. we receive the mounts for the weapon it is just what we wanted. hope to get the rest by the end of the month. thankyou everyone at emachine. This was my first time using eMachineShop and I could not be happier with the result. They were quick to start processing my order and in the estimated amount of time I received the parts. I like the 2D designer also, was pretty simple to use for my needs.

I was very happy with both the product and the service provided by Emachine shop. My only concerns as an international customer were converting my drawing to US imperial measurements particularly tolerances as it is something of a source of error. I personally can’t look at imperial measurements and say ‘that looks right’, I have to convert US CAD drawings back to metric, for a very simple job that’s not a problem but it would get old very quickly for something complicated My only other concern was that invoice did not state USD, it was obvious to me as the direct purchaser but I had to explain it (not AU$) to my customer

Every aspect of dealing with eMachineShop was a pleasure. Just received my parts; and I could not be happier. Exactly as I imagined them! Great work: from the easy-to-use online CAD app, to the assistance given by the team prior to ordering, to the actual parts. I used their browser CAD to design my piece - their tutorial and templates get you going very quickly. I submitted it for a quote, and one of the team contacted me to discuss my choice of material and manufacturing process. Turns out I'd made a poor choice. The team set me straight and we proceeded to the build. I received my parts this morning and they are perfect. I was able to complete my project with no further machining, finishing, polishing etc. As an apartment-dweller - with no access to a machine shop - this was an incredible service. The alternative would be to rent a workspace, buy waaaaay more material than I needed, cut it, shape it, drill, tap and then test. Would 100% use this service again, and recommend them to others who need precision pieces manufactured.
