I put my van in for an oil change for £90 , then got a call saying it needs a new oil pump at £650 . After having my van for over a week he told me it would be ready at 1 o’clock on sat afternoon , I was sitting outside his garage till 6pm that night for them to turn around and say it’s not ready they can’t start the engine ( the engine was running totally fine when I drove it into the garage ). Then on Monday morning he phoned to say I need a new engine 😡😡. WTF ….. from a £90 oil change to £2000 new engine he said . They had my van for 5 weeks I live in Scotland so was dealing with everything over the phone . Nathan the manager would not answer my calls and not return msgs very unprofessional . I decided to get it transported back to Scotland and when I received it half my engine was lying on my passenger front seat . I have had a 2nd opinion and they have concluded that the mechanic who put the oil pump on didn’t set the timings properly and has ruined the whole engine . After trying to settle this with the garage they are taking no responsibility claiming they never done anything wrong . From driving into garage engine running fine for £90 oil change, to getting it recovered back to Scotland with half the engine not together and ripping my van to shreds ready for the scrapyard is a total farce . Will be going down the legal route for compensation . total cowboy garage .
Would not recommend anyone even going for a bulb change .
