The experience at the Arches Olive Cottage exceeded our expectations! The cottage was perfect for me, my husband and our dog. It had two private outdoor patio spaces. The inside was super clean. The bed and linens were incredible! The outdoor grounds were unbelievably beautiful! There are actual old grapevines on the property. It was such a peaceful walk around the grounds with my cup of coffee and my dog. We didn’t want to leave. Jon was so nice and welcoming. Two nights is just not enough at this amazing place! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful stay! We often don’t gravitate towards stays where the owner lives on the property but John’s place was even better than we imagined! Our cottage was very private and we loved that there were two fenced patios around our cottage for privacy and then if we wanted to be out and about, his land is truly beautiful and easy to walk around. John himself was very friendly and touched based before and towards the end of our stay- even came out and was sure to greet us when we arrived. We love the Sonoma area and this place is in the perfect neighborhood to feel like a local. Can’t wait to come back!

Jon was very communicative, flexible and available before and during our stay. He was both engaging and respectful of our privacy, living, as he does, on the property. The self-contained cottage included all we needed, with two private outdoor patios and easy access to the lovely shared swimming pool, surrounded by beautiful landscaping. The bedding and towels were cozy, the shower had good water pressure, and the kitchen was well-stocked (including complimentary snacks). We walked to Sonoma Plaza one night for dinner, then decided to drive the second night, as the walk was a bit long, but parking was no problem. We also walked to the local, historical winery property at the end of the street for an easy hike with a view. We would definitely return!

We enjoyed our second visit to Jon's Sonoma cottage, this time for a milestone wedding anniversary. It is a perfect setting for a couple's romantic holiday and is convenient for travel to most wine country attractions. Jon shows extraordinary pride and care for his property, and we noticed a few upgrades from our 2024 stay (for example, a new TV in the bedroom suite). The gracefully decorated patio and pool, alongside a small vineyard, are delights on any warm day. And we especially enjoyed conversing with Jon at both check-in and check-out. We hope to return.

Jon's Arches is a beautiful property nestled into a quiet corner of Sonoma. The location is a short walk to both Bartholomew and Buena Vista wineries, and the vibrant main town square. The pool is a great way to cool off after a hot summer day. The gardens really complete the outside aesthetic. Jon is a great host and greeted us upon arrival. We'd certainly return for another weekend (or longer!) in wine country.

Amazing stay with Jon! We chose the place for the pool and convenient location about a mile from Sonoma square… and the stay, amenities and hospitality exceeded our expectations. Would absolutely stay again!! Jon was an excellent host. The vineyard view suite had everything we needed and more for our long weekend in wine country. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Jon’s. We had everything I wanted for my birthday weekend, getting to sit poolside with my love and our pup. The weather was perfect all weekend, giving us plenty of sunshine to enjoy the wonderful pool and its peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The cottage was roomy, comfy, clean, and cozy. We had everything we needed and more. We absolutely loved the king size bed that we melted into every night after a day of swimming and enjoying outings and dinner nearby. The cottage also has two private patios, great for relaxing and eating al fresco. Jon was a wonderful host, responsive, welcoming, and full of great knowledge and Sonoma history. It was also sweet to hear about how he built the place with his wife. Thanks for sharing your slice of paradise with us. Hope to be back.
