My dog was attacked by another dog, had a large bite, took her in to see Riverview vet originally who barely looked at her leg and told me their emergency vet went home …emergency vet…. And my dog should be fine until the morning. I did not trust this opinion so was able to get in touch with the vet and vet tech at Home Sweet and they were able to get my dog in for stitches close to midnight. The vet and vet tech were so amazing with my dog and even calmed me down too. My dog was there for maybe 45 min and they had it all taken care of so that I didn’t have to drive to Grand Junction for emergency after hours care. The vet and vet tech are incredibly smart and accommodating I am forever grateful for them. They are amazing please take your animal here for anything they are incredible.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this place, doctor(s) and staff. My sweet girl needed emergency attention at 1am and Dr Amanda was there, reassuring, calm and so nice as well as the tech! Thank you guys so much for everything I’m beyond grateful and would definitely recommend!

Exceptional staff. I was in a bind trying to get my brother's dog seen for a serious medical emergency. They were able to have my brother's dog be seen & quickly got him on antibiotics. Very very grateful to have gotten Bandit the medical help he needed. The front desk (Wendy) is extremely kind & helpful. The vet techs are patient & very caring. I was visiting Farmington, they worked with me on appointment times. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

They were the only ones that would take my kitty. I loved all the ladies there. Very kind. This will be our vet!! And they didn't overcharge us. I highly recommend!!

Visiting from out of area. My 15 year old little dog needed urgent care. Call all around Durango and nobody could fit her in! I called Home Sweet Home and they were able to squeeze her in and help her! Thank you so much for having the compassion and making time for my fur baby !!! I wish other vets would follow suit.

Dr Hawkins and, in fact the whole staff, were super kind, courteous and informative. They got me in quickly and took their time with my questions. Will definitely be moving my both my pets to this clinic!

Dr. Amanda Hawkins is the absolute best in the area! She is professional, kind, and provides exceptional care! My English Bull Terrier, Dexter, had surgery there this week and words cannot express what a wonderful job Dr. Hawkins and her team did! This is the only vet clinic in La Plata County that I feel 100% confident referring people to. The front desk (Wendy) is very kind and helpful, all the vet techs are patient and caring, and Dr. Hawkins is amazing 👏

**We have taken our pets here since Dr. Kirsten was the owner and always had good experiences with her... we were devastated when she closed the clinic and had very disappointing experiences at other clinics in the area during the closure. Finding a vet we could trust to care for our pets felt like a hopeless task until we learned Home Sweet Home was reopening under the new ownership of Dr. Hawkins.

I brought my siberian husky to the emergency vet around 8:30 pm after he had lost a fight with a porcupine and they took immaculate care of my goodest boy. Every interaction I have with them they are such a positive place to be involved with, they kept me updated the whole time even tho they were a little busym. I'm so proud to have this animal care center in our community. Thank you all for what you do. His little sniffy snoot is good as new and still just as boopable.

The Vet and all the girls that work here are wonderful. Kind compassionate people. My dog has been well cared for with this team.
Dr. Kirstin is the best veterinarian ever!! She is so thorough and really cares about your pets as well as the owners! I’ve been with her since she opened and she’s been my vet for all 5 of my schnauzers throughout the years! I couldn’t ask for a better doctor and person to love and take care of all my babies!!
Very sweet staff and an adorable clinic. The vets were very sweet and gentle with my dog! A bonus was their prior experience with other Bernedoodles that made me more confident with them thoroughly and accurately checking in with my Bernedoodle!
