I had a pleasant stay at the Marquis Marriott overall. However, for the $1,800 I paid—and as a Bonvoy member—I expected a more welcoming experience from the front desk clerks. Their attitude felt a bit indifferent, especially when I had a simple question about my bill. It was disappointing to feel like I was being a bother for asking.
I was also told that continental breakfast was included in my package, but I was still charged for it. That added to the frustration.
On a positive note, the staff at the FedEx area were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the guys at the bar and at the Revel & Rye restaurant were great. With some retraining on customer service at the front desk, I’d definitely consider staying here again.
Great location in the heart of Times Square. Elevator security is a little confusing at first. Nice room. Great staff and service. Room service food was piddling and expensive. Tip had to be cash. Workout are is much, much too small for a hotel this size. Only one bench and rack of dumbbells made for long waits. Very cramped, even if there were fewer people working out. No real vegan options at any of the restaurants.

Went for a conference. Meeting rooms were well kept and furniture was in good condition. Hotel lobby signage wasn’t easily visible to figure out where to go or how to find elevators etc. layout is circular, which makes for a crowded and confusing traffic when sessions let out. Elevator system was a bit confusion too - it wasn’t immediately obvious which elevator was ready after calling for it. Staff were plentiful, efficient and worked hard for service delivery to attendees. Might be better equipped for a smaller conference or different flow of activities.
