Invoiced for excess charges I had a water leak in my home and used DryForce for the mitigation and restoration. The main issue I had is that DryForce invoiced the mitigation costs as $27K which my insurance carrier found unacceptable. It went to a 3rd party mediator and the parties eventually settled on $18K. DryForce then billed me the difference minus a $3K courtesy waiver. In getting the documentation from DryForce, my insurance, and the mediator it is clear what happened. The water damage was extensive enough that my hardwood floors needed replaced and the insurance carrier only required that DryForce show a reasonable attempt to dry the floors before submitting for replacement. However, DryForce left the drying equipment for 5 full days despite the readings clearly showing the floors were not drying. So during mediation, they asked DryForce to provide rationale for the excessive drying since they were already willing to pay for the removal and replacement of the hardwood flooring. Here is DryForce's exact response to them "We will always attempt to dry the wood floors. This invoice has been reduced by $3,250.71 already. The customer has paid us $$23,811.48 and we waived the rest. We will not be reducing it any further." So you can see there was no attempt to answer the insurance carrier's questions as to why dry for 5 days when 3 would have been sufficient. So by not answering the question, the insurance does not pay, but DryForce will then just stand behind the contract customers have to sign and bill the customer for the difference, so there is actually no incentive for DryForce to actually respond to the insurance carrier, as they get paid either way. Second, DryForce's response was simply not true as I had not paid DryForce in full so not sure wny there were trying to use my payment as rationale for insurance to pick up the excessive drying tab. My main complaint came once they started invoicing me for the difference. At first they claimed I could dispute each line item if I provided justification. Then when asked which line item the $3K waiver was against, I was told that if I disputed their invoice then the waiver would be removed as "My time and resources are not without cost." All attempts to escalate the situation beyond the billing department went unanswered. So beware, the contract you sign will be used against you to pay whatever they invoice, or they will threaten with a lien on your home. It makes no difference whether it is covered by insurance or not, whether it is fair and reasonable, whether it is excessive to industry standards, or whether they adequately represented you during mediation.

Bullies and Liars This company bullies and lies. Do not let them near your home for anything. Tried to get me to sign a contract with no scope of work, kept saying they were used to doing million dollar homes and their services were unique and I just didn’t understand. A load of crap to trap you. I wouldn't sign their blank scope of work contract because I’m not stupid. Charged me $1,900 for nothing but fans for less than 24 hours they yanked out because they couldn’t trick me. RUN from these snakes attempting to slither your way into your home and bank account. SHADY practices that can’t stand up to common sense. Don’t let your emergency go from bad to worse.

They came out and did what they're supposed to do as far as the water remediation goes, easy job. Got things dried up however they drug their feet on coming back to pick up their equipment. We were told for 4 days straight they were coming that day and never showed up. We would receive a phone call every night around 8:30 PM saying we're not going to make it today we'll come tomorrow that went on for about 4 days until I finally called and spoke to a supervisor and their technician finally came out around 9:30 PM on the 4th day. We ended up having all of the fans and equipment running for a small leak in the kitchen sink for approximately 7 days. There Was an explanation of a bigger job than ours taking precedence. Fast forward to us deciding to go ahead and use their construction team(againt our better judgment) and again so far the communication is terrible and we are of very low priority. They sent an email for us to DocuSign a contract to allow them to be our contractors and to complete said work listed below in the contract. However, there is no work listed in this contract at all we have yet to see the estimate or anything of that nature. The project manager came out 7 days ago to assess the damage and draw up the plans and estimate to send to our insurance company. We told the project manager we do not feel comfortable signing a contract without seeing what they are proposing to do on our home. He has yet to respond so I called the office yesterday told them my same concern and they said they would have Keith, the project manager, call us. That didn't happen. I spoke to my insurance adjuster and he said he has been trying to get some information from them and they have not responded to him either. The reason we chose them is because everyone that came out built up how prompt and excellent their contractors are and how helpful they are at helping us with our insurance claim and using the same software that insurance adjusters use, etc. So far this has not been the case at all with this company, 2 weeks in and we're still here without floors, an estimate or any kind of time frame of when we may get our floors and other small things repaired. Looks like we're going to be moving on and finding another contractor who will hopefully want our business and make this more of a priority. Disappointed to say the least.

Please read Yelp reviews of DryForce not Google, they are a much more accurate reflection of this company. Summary: We switched contractors after all the issues we had with DryForce, and we are now owed over $3k that they are refusing to pay. Long story: We had a leak in our bedroom wall and used DryForce for remediation and attempted to use them for reconstruction of our walls and floors. The water remediation went fine, but we have had the worst experience we have ever had with a business while working with their construction department and accounting. They suggested that work could be completed on our house while we were out of town so we had them put a temporary lock box on our door. When we returned to our home, both the front and back door were UNLOCKED, everything was a mess, and a room was painted the wrong color. And this is in addition to them being unresponsive and planning to install our wood floors as floating which every flooring expert we talked to after said would bubble up and not last. We decided to work with another contractor before the floor work on the project got started, so DryForce owed us over $3k. They issued the check on 6/20, we have USPS informed delivery so we saw on 6/27 we were supposed to receive the check but it was missing from our mailbox. We requested the check be cancelled on 7/1, then on 7/12 DryForce was called and confirmed the check as it was fraudulently cashed at a payday loan location. DryForce says it is not their problem and has refused to issue another check, and they are ignoring our demand so this will likely end up in court unfortunately. Find a more honest and fair contractor for your home. If your home and hard earned money are important to you, don’t give crooks access to them. Edit: In response to the owner’s reply, I have not been contacted by anyone at DryForce and my last emails had multiple people at the company CC’d including the President Matt Sands. This is not something that slipped through the cracks, this is by their inaction an acceptable customer experience.

Update on previous review - changed from 1 start to 5 stars. Update: After the old review below was posted, I received a call from their VPGM, and had an extremely candid conversation in which he took full ownership of the mistake, talked through the entire process from start to finish, and listened to and agreed with all of my concerns. This was truly refreshing; these days customers are rarely able to have these kinds of conversations with businesses. We were able to come to a mutually beneficial resolution, and moving forward I would 100% recommend this company. Old review: Dry Force has threatened to put a lien on my house without ever sending me a bill or notifying me that they were done negotiating with my insurance. After racking up a crazy high amount of charges using my 3 children as their justification to insurance. Ridiculous, and essentially blackmail. Never would recommend this company

I am having a very disappointing experience with Dry Force. Initially, I hired them to clean mold and water damage in the corner of one room, but the situation quickly deteriorated. One of their machines leaked, causing damage to flooring, tile, vanity, furniture, baseboards, and the ceiling. The company’s response to the damage caused by their equipment has been slow, cumbersome, inadequate, and prone to repeated mechanical failures. Their communication also has been severely lacking. It has been more than 20 days since the work started. We have yet received clear communication of how they will resolve this situation. Despite multiple attempts to reach out to their managers/supervisors, I received delayed unhelpful responses or no response at all for multiple days. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by Dry Force and would not recommend them to anyone. Their poor communication have made a stressful situation even worse. Since the most recent July 20 4:38am online reply to my Google review, we have not received any further communication from management team.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Lack of communication, professionalism, project management, and empathy. Started demo which made the house unlivable then neglected the project for nearly a month with no work done and failed to do their job resulting in further delay leaving my family including our newborn with a half-broken home. They are now unresponsive. Save yourself stress and money and go with a different company.

Bad communication. After months of waiting for work to be done in my house, started deconstruction process without all necessary rebuild materials ready to go and poorly coordinated with my insurance company to make sure the process went as smoothly as possible. Original time estimates were wrong which screwed up the coordination and required my tenants to go out of pocket while they were displaced from my home.

EDIT: Soon after my initial review, a Dry Force supervisor came to my house. The supervisor was knowledgeable, polite, and friendly. He fixed the issue. Additionally, the general manager called me and personally apologized. He checked on me until the supervisor fixed the water issue. This is the type of experience I expected from Dry Force initially. Nonetheless, I am glad Dry Force reached out to me, acknowledged my frustrations, and fixed the issue. As such, I am updating my review from two stars to three stars. ORIGINAL: My experience with Dry Force has been frustrating, aggravating, and, above all else, disappointing. On June 8, we experienced water issues near our second-story HVAC unit. The water damaged the subfloor underneath the HVAC unit and the ceiling above the door leading to the backyard. We had a technician come out on Sunday, June 9, to give an estimate. He recommended that we rip up part of the floor, ceiling, and part of a door frame to dry out the water damage correctly. I told him we would consider it and let Dry Force know our answer. The next day, Monday, June 10, I called Dry Force at approximately 9:00 AM and told them we would like to proceed. They said someone would come out that day to set up the equipment. However, there was a significant lack of communication. Hours passed by with no updates on when someone would arrive. Finally, at 6:00 PM, I called and was told that someone would come out, but the dispatcher could not promise when that would be. Frustrated, I scheduled the appointment for the next morning. On June 11, a new technician came out and set up the equipment. I explained what the previous technician had recommended, and he said that the prior technician was wrong and overestimated the amount of work needed due to lack of experience. He told me he had over 20 years of experience in the industry and set up the equipment in a way that he believed could resolve the water issue with minimal damage to the house. Before leaving, he said it usually takes 3-5 days to dry, but it should be dry by Friday, and they will come to pick up the equipment then. Then, on Friday, June 14, two technicians showed up at 9:00 AM without calling ahead. They did not introduce themselves. Instead, they came into the house and said they were there to pick up the equipment. However, after looking at the equipment, they said that part of the equipment was not installed correctly and explained that the ceiling was not dry enough. They said it needed one more day to dry, but if I wanted to be sure, it would be dry by Sunday. I told them I wanted to be sure it drys correctly, so I asked if someone could come out Sunday at 9:00 AM to check and get the equipment. They said ok and quickly left. They were very unprofessional and acted like it was a burden that they had to come out at all. Finally, today, Sunday, June 16, we received a call at 8:45 AM, fifteen minutes before our scheduled appointment, telling us that Dry Force will be unable to come out today. My wife asked if it was because the ceiling was not yet dry (Dry Force installs sensors they can monitor from afar). In response, the man said he didn't know why and would have someone call us back. This is just another example of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing at Dry Force. Twenty minutes later, a supervisor calls us back and says that the sensor shows that the ceiling is still wet, and he doesn't have the personnel to come out today because it's the weekend. I asked why the two technicians told me someone would come on Sunday then. He said that the technicians don't have access to the schedule and didn't know why they would say that. Lastly, he informed me that, in his estimation, they would need to start removing parts of the ceiling and wall now to ensure that it would be dry. So, here we are, over a week later, with no real answers or resolutions. In my opinion, Dry Force is unable to schedule its personnel properly, communicate properly, or explain what work needs to be done.

The work Dry Force does is top notch and the technicians are very friendly and professional. However, scheduling is a nightmare. I waited at home all day for 2 days in a row for someone to show up, and they finally got over here on the third day. I had to arrange to work from home and had to cancel plans for no reason. They seem understaffed. Very frustrating and inconvenient.

This company really came through for me at a very hectic time. I had a water leak that started on the weekend, of course, when it’s more complicated to get help. To make it extra fun it happened just a few days before we were headed out for vacation. Dry Force was recommended by the company who fixed the leak and I am so grateful for that. The technician was knowledge and thorough and a supervisor even came out to my home to inspect the job. I can rest easy now knowing that there is no structural damage to my home.
