I changed from another doctor at a nursing facility as the NP he had was told to me she was superb! Unfortunately, this NP left so we had another NP assigned by him. This particular NP made poor judgement decisions, lacked communication skills when addressing families, lacked initiation to exam the patient when doing rounds, just a total disappointment! When reaching the doctor, if he called back it would have taken some time! He is more concerned with image when families address concerns, and really needs to understand the elderly and family dynamics! Disappointed to say the least!
My mother is in a nursing home in Streamwood Il. For the last couple of weeks she hasn't been eating/drinking well. Finally I asked to have doctor paged( mom has been in this facility for 9 months and I visit often, haven't met this doc yet!) I asked the nurse if I can speak to the doctor since this nurse was from an agency and doesn't really know what's going on with mom. The nurse said the doctor refused to speak to me. The ambulance arrived and mom pulse was 110 at rest. She seemed dehydrated and was rushed to the hospital. The lack of compassion and the unprofessional manner in which this was handled I would never recommend this doctor to anyone! So much for all his "good" reviews my EYE! They were probably paid for!
