Cozy, welcoming. Would definitely book this again! ☺ Cozy cabin with comfortable bed. Lovely garden view and easy to get in and out using the private entrance and side gate. ☹ Its definitely spacious enough for two but some low corners meant we banged our heads a couple of times (and I’m only 5”)

Excellent stay, Excellent staff & Excellent location! ☺ It was a well maintained property, with all the necessary equipment, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery and overall heating and lighting to a very high standard! ☹ There was nothing we didn’t not like about the B & B in general. We will be staying here again next year and would thoroughly recommend this property to all potential future clients.

Very comfortable king bed in a large room and a large bathroom with walk-in shower. Excellent breakfast with many choice ☺ Large room, excellent breakfast, lovely host ☹ I thought it was IN St Ives but it was in an adjacent town

Very Good ☺ Very nicely decorated and comfortable room. Very welcoming staff, friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Not too far from Carbis Bay station and beach (but that's quite a bit of a up/downhill hike), but there's a bus stop for St Ives right outside the guesthouse. ☹ Some corners could be better cleaned.

Very comfortable and clean room with an excellent host. ☺ Close to everything. It was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good and the host and staff were attentive and very helpful and friendly. ☹ It was a bit difficult to park as the car park was small and cramped. Our room was small relative to the size of the bed ax we had a king size bed.

Exceptional ☺ Clean room and sheets. Very healthy,filling and yummy breakfast. The stewardess makes it more cheerful! Bus stop right outside the place makes it easy access to beaches. Carbis bay right behind the house in a walkable distance. ☹ A bit noisy at nights as we had street view rooms. Would suggest having a fan for summers

A Memorable Stay at Downsfield Bed and Breakfast ☺ My stay at Downsfield was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of luxurious accommodations, outstanding breakfast, top-notch amenities, and exceptional service made it an unforgettable experience. My room was nothing short of perfection. It was impeccably clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to ensure my stay was perfect. They genuinely cared about my comfort and satisfaction. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable stay. I can't wait to return for another visit in the future.

Fantastic location. Friendly, great sausages and big comfy bed! ☺ The bed was SO comfortable! Lovely spacious room, friendly breakfast staff. Fantastic location. Lots of little extras, mints and chocolates in the hall. Taxi numbers etc. ☹ Honestly, we had a lovely time! However (and we never ever complain) Just feel it’s important to give honest feedback. The bathroom or bedroom wasn’t as clean as it could of been unfortunately very thick dust build up all around the doorframe of the bathroom (inside) and the lampshade/shower vent thick and blows out when turned on and all above the bed, windowsills and sides so dusty, so many cobwebs inside the corners of the window (inside) and unfortunately two out of the three days we had little tiny hairs in our breakfast (I have long ginger hair and my partners hair isn’t black/grey) so it really wasn’t ours! We stayed in room No4 and despite the bedroom being huge the bathroom was SO tiny, and myself and my partner are both of a larger build and over 6FT and the shower was so small it let it down also extremely hot and would take a good few minutes to go back to temperature. Very claustrophobic and for £169 a night we thought we’d of been able to have comfortable shower and without an over powering smell of bleach. But the breakfast staff couldn’t do enough for you, best sausages in the world+very attentive friendly staff credit to the B+B! Lovely decor, throughout the whole B+B and the comfiest bed with a homely feel, very safe and free parking! Cleanliness/hygiene is the only thing that stopped it being a 10/10.

Exceptional ☺ Considering it is located on the main route into St ives, you are not troubled by traffic noise, and it feels more homely than most b&bs.
