My skid pan fell halfway off on the highway, lovely man had some zip ties and gave me some advice on how to resecure it and saved the day. Thank you!

A business that dosent treat animals well. They tell you they give u constant updates and have someone constantly checking on the animals which is completely false. The van is absolutely filthy. The lady that was discharging the animals from the van at pickup was smoking while handling the animals. Horrible business filled with people that don’t care. Please don’t do this to your animals.

Very surprised Koby & Kearna to get these two reviews from you. We were not aware that you were unhappy with Salem's transport last month. Between the two reviews you mention a number of issues, none of which were discussed at the time, or since, including fleas, the cat sitting in poo in its litter tray, messages not responded to and our staff smoking. When Salem arrived he was in our large air conditioned float. There was only one other cat on board that had been collected that day and Salem was not next to puppies. We would normally take the pets out ourselves but Koby took Salem out of the cage himself and placed him in your own carrier. There was no mention of him being dirty and we would have helped clean him if it was necessary. Unfortunately sometimes cats will sit in their litter trays despite having soft matting to sit on and do occasionally get dirty during the trip. That is reasonably unavoidable. For security reasons we do not open cat cages except to put in food or if we have concerns about the cats health. So it is possible he was dirty and we did not know. We seldom see any fleas during transport but as Salem was next to another cat for around half of the day it is possible. However it was always expected he would be travelling alongside other pets. Salem was collected by Fiona, a non smoker, in Sydney and travelled to our depot at Morisset for the night. Then I and my wife Sierra bought Salem up to Brisbane the next day. Salem was being checked regularly and was well cared for. We are not aware of having received any messages that were not responded to and there would be no reason to not respond but we do not contact all clients each day unless there is something specific to report or ask. On delivery you dealt with Sierra who is a non smoker and other than Koby only Sierra or I would have handled Salem. If there were other staff at the depot that evening that were smoking they were not involved in transferring any animals while doing so and they did not handle Salem or come inside the float. I get that for some reason you are unhappy about the transport and have not wanted to discuss that with us but we feel that your outright lie about Sierra smoking and the exagerated tone of your two reviews do not match the service we provided you. Absolutely disgusting experience with this company. They gave my young cat fleas, and when we picked him up he was sitting in his dirty litter tray with faeces stuck to his fur. When we asked for assistance to get him out, the workers were standing around smoking near the animals. It’s not hard to clean or change the enclosures and make sure the pets are safe, clean, and cared for. Completely unacceptable. We also asked for updates since it’s his first ever trip and they did not reply to the message they promised to answer

Great experience. The team and our driver Brett did an amazing job on our move south from Townsville. Our big dogs were treated very well and the challenges they presented were well under control. Recommend to all and we will be using the service again.

Would be having a chat to your driver currently driving through Riverland SA recklessly and impatiently, swerving in and out of their lane, tailgating and overtaking dangerously - with oncoming traffic. Would not feel confident with my own animals being transported with a driver like this.
Reply from Dog Movers 2025.11.18
Hi Jax. Are you able to provide any more information on the location or circumstances? I have reviewed the GPS tracking and Dashcam footage and cannot see anything matching your description. But the Riverina is a long driving stretch. I have spoken with the driver, a long term employee with a good driving history and while he did overtake many vehicles towing caravans at 80-90km/h on that long 110km stretch he does not believe that there were any instances that could have been seen to be dangerous.

Dog movers did an amazing job moving my dog Koda from Melbourne to Queensland. Thank you dog movers for bringing Koda home safely.

Thank you Michelle. It is tricky at times getting Pets out of Quarantine to move interstate due to the PEQ's tight timeframes and rules for transporters, I am pleased we were able to work with Michael from Pet Caddy locally to be able to provide you with a combined service to get Koda safely back up to you in QLD. Thank you for choosing Dogmovers.

Refused to hold themselves accountable for the death of a dog under their care that was overheated in a car, whilst being transported. Autopsy from veterinary surgeon revealed that the dog was perfectly healthy and had died from heat exhaustion. Allowing this information they still became defensive and refused to hold themselves responsible as is illustrated by their cowardly responses towareds other negative reviews. Generally a true sign of narcissism. I don't have enough negative words in my vocabularly to express how abhorrent these kinds of people are.

Hi Stuart, not sure what could possibly have been an issue for you. We do not appear to have transported any pets for you lately if ever?

This is the second time I've used Dog Movers to transport for the same dog, and I highly recommend them! What a wonderful service and great Drivers who take amazing care. Clean crates and trailers with hay. Took the time to organize my dog to separate from other dogs to reduce any stress on him. Thank you, Dog Movers. I would definitely use them again.

Dog movers delivered my 2 month old French bulldog from morriset to Canberra. I complained to head office as the driver was super rude after I asked him to move the dog away from a bunch of birds they were carrying at the same time. The head office lady was really nice but I then received a call from another lady I’m guessing it was a franchisee who basically dismissed every concern I had with statements like ohh he is known to be rude he is just really Aussie not really sure how that is a reason. Not once did she say I will talk to him about his customer service. Also I was told that the birds were contained but it has taken the week to get the weird bird smell off the dog. Honestly I should have investigated what they carry more as the company is dog movers I just took it they only transport dogs. I probably wouldn’t use them again.

To clarify. Nicholas complaint stems from the fact that we had 3 budgies, in their own separate crate, within another cage in the same van as his puppy. There was no interaction or contact between the budgies and his Puppy.
Nicholas spoke to the driver, a member of our customer service team and then a member of the management team. (We do not have Franchisee’s.) It was an unusual interaction and the driver and management were at pains to assure him that there was no problem and they were very straightforward in their response.
The budgies crate was in a cage next to the pup briefly when the pup was dropped off by the Breeder because they had been put in the van a few minutes earlier. The budgies were then moved to another cage before the trip started. They did not travel next to the Pup.
On delivery to us the pups breeder had no concerns about there being Budgies in the van and told Nicolas there were other pups and animals in the van for company. Nicolas later called the driver to ask him to move the budgies and was told they had already been moved and were not next to his pup.
Nicolas then called to complain about the drivers attitude. He was not told that the driver was known to be rude. He was told that he was blunt (i.e. he does not mince words, a particularly Aussie characteristic). The driver has said that it was clear that Nicolas was concerned about it but that he had no notion what else to tell him given there was no actual problem.
With respect to the weird bird smell. These were not smelly budgies and they had no contact with the Pup. The statement “I was told that the birds were contained but it has taken the week to get the weird bird smell off the dog” makes me think that Nicolas believes the birds were actually in contact with his puppy. Typically a puppy would smell more than the budgies and I believe it’s likely that Nicolas has spent the week washing the puppy smell off his new puppy.
Additionally I would reiterate that it is normal for pups, cats, birds and other pets to travel together in the same vans or compartments during both road & Air Transport and that our Website and marketing all state that we move “All Pets & Small Domestic Animals”

We had the most amazing experience with Dogmovers. We required an emergency same day service due to extenuating circumstances and Ann was so helpful and happy to oblige. Sean provided a door to door service and our two sphinx kittens were safely delivered to our home. There was a significant delay with their flight and we were concerned about their welfare. Sean offered to feed them and gave us live updates every step of the journey. Ann arranged everything almost impossibly quickly and was so kind and supportive. I would highly recommend this exceptional service and will most certainly be using them in the future.

Dog Movers did an amazing job relocating my two dogs. The team was kind, professional, and genuinely caring. I had some concerns about the move, but they listened and reassured me, making the whole process stress-free for both me and my dogs. I highly recommend Dog Movers to anyone needing pet relocation services.

Thanks Nel. It was a long trip but it went well for Kevin & Charli. Although they are both breeds that can be a bit on the stressy side, they are both very happy and well socialised dogs and that always makes the trip much easier for them.
