Dog training to a higher level! I have a German shepherd who can be aggressive towards other dogs. Anna and Colt helped my dog become more secure in himself and clear about the rules. They also helped me understand and read his behaviors. The relationship and trust I have with my dog has improved so much; he is happier and free, trusts me and is so much more relaxed around other dogs.
Anna and Colt helped me with my two female working line German Shepherds. I did a three week board and train with them. I wanted to work on manners at home (barking in the kennels, place bed work and more) as well as some obedience work. Upon getting them back I already saw a huge difference in their attention to me and commands. I continued in person training for months with them afterwards. The training was as much for me as it was for my dogs. Talk about the dream team!! It was amazing to have two trainers giving me tips while training in person. I felt like nothing was missed at each session. The knowledge and experience Colt and Anna have helped immensely with my training at home. I felt equipped to independently work with both my girls. With the support of both of them through videos and text messages I was able to tackle each new item we were trying to teach. Both of my dogs had different needs at the time. Anna and Colt recognized them immediately! One of my females worked on her tracking skills and caught on very quickly, I believe because of the training knowledge of both Anna and Colt. It was very important to me to work her mentally as well as physically. Tracking was a great outlet for her! It was refreshing to have trainers that invested SO much time training ME and my dogs!
Anna obedience trained my 1 year old Jack Russell terrier and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. She responded very quickly to my inquiry on her website and took significant time to speak with me on the phone and in person to understand my needs, establish expectations and ensure I was comfortable with the training. My dog was very stubborn, not good at recall and wasn’t good at walking on the leash (constant pulling). He underwent the 3 week live in training program. Anna provided frequent update videos and I was amazed how quickly his behaviors were changing in real time. His behavior is significantly improved, particularly when walking on leash. Anna having place trained him has changed our lives. This has eliminated begging during meals and using a travel bed gives him a spot that’s his and keeps him well behaved when visiting friends. When Anna brought him home she provided detailed instructions on how to implement the strong foundation of obedience she created and spent a few hours walking me through hands on with him. She has also remained very responsive whenever I have questions after the training. Anna was super professional, great with my dog and I couldn’t be happier. Very strongly recommend her to anyone needing dog training.
Anna restored the happiness, peace and balance in our home as it related to our dogs. More specifically, our dachshund was a NIGHTMARE to walk and a bit of a brat. On walks, he was afraid of everything - dogs, cars, kids, grass - and his flight or fight instinct was always fight. It was terrifying to watch him fighting to escape his collar in an attempt to attack anything on wheels. So much so that we eventually stopped taking him on walks all together. Conversely, in our home, he was so overly protective of me that he has snipped at and bitten my husband and kids. We needed a change. Anna only spent an hour with us, training both dogs and humans and it changed our life! The dogs instantly respected her and she gave us the training, advice and tools needed to continue the progress. Now we can enjoy a stress free walk, no barking, no attacking, just relaxed and casual. And in our home, we've restored the order. It's as if she replaced our old dog with a brand new one. I would HIGHLY recommend Anna for even the most severe cases. There's no challenge she can't tackle.
As a first time dog owner, I made tons of mistakes when I got my puppy... Anna was able to correct almost all of them. I feel much more confident walking Coco now and boarding with Duke Canine is like taking your dog to the Ritz, according to my husband :D

I sent my two GSD puppies to board and train with Duke Canine when they were 6 months old. If I could do it again I would send them 100 times out of 100. The enjoyment I get from being able to take my dogs with me places and know they will respond to commands and listen, even if things are hectic, is tremendous. Hiking, bars, banks, restaurant patios, they go with me all over and they are the best behaved pups. Anna did a fantastic job not only training the dogs, but also teaching me how to work with them so we could continue to practice our commands at home. She was always going above and beyond, answering texts and questions. I’ve already sent two of my friends to her as referrals and I would recommend her to anyone.

We had our 6 month old Lab trained at Duke Canine about a year ago. I could not have been more pleased with the entire experience. Anna Duke is one of those special people that is both a Dog Whisperer and able to teach the dog's family what they need to know. Anna Duke keeps the facilities immaculate in condition, clean, bright and welcoming. The entire experience, from meeting Anna in person and dropping off our dog to the return visit and the personalized demonstration of the results completed exceeded any pre-conceived notion of what was going to happen. We are very sad that our next dog won't have the chance to train with Anna after her move to the Carolinas. Texas will miss her greatly. We wish her well and cannot recommend anyone more highly than we recommend Anna Duke and Duke Canine.
Anna's training is EFFECTIVE. She trains the dog so well, but most importantly, she trained US humans!!! Our dogs feed off of our energies; she taught us to command him, apply reinforcement and help as appropriate, differentiating what's appropriate behavior from behavior that's considered not sociable or in any way not allowable. AWESOME. She did an outstanding job; we are impressed!
We left our three German Shepherds, two puppies and one adult, with Anna for three weeks while we were out of town. Anna trained the most Spirited puppy. It was great to know that our dogs were well looked after and to get them back in better shape than when we dropped them off!
Your 3 girls were an absolute pleasure to keep and work with! All fantastic dogs with super dedicated owners!

We had the honor of having Anna come up to our little shop and do a Balanced Training Basics Class for our customers who needed an array of help from simple obedience training to leash reactivity. She is AMAZING! Within minutes of handling these pups they were changed souls. She is patient, balanced and just has an innate ability to connect with dogs. You can see it immediately and has worked wonders with so many of our little dog friends :) She comes HIGHLY recommended!
